THE BASICS

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

PERSONALITY

Kadan is a woman who seems to genuinely care for the underdog.  She loathes abuses of power, and does everything in her power to undo such things.  She has great sympathy for those prejudged by their appearances, and stresses that nothing can stop someone from being beautiful. 

As a hero, Kadan occasionally struggles to work with others, as she finds many pro heroes difficult to work with; such heroes are often full of themselves, selfish, or at worst, callous. 

Though generally kind, one need not look far into her to find an old darkness in Kadan's heart.  Kadan was once violent, angry and vindictive.  She had been bitter and could have turned villainous far easier than the path she took, and it shows in her passion for protecting the type of person she used to be.  

Kadan enjoys reading, especially outside.  She enjoys gardens and large trees which are hard to come by in abundance in the city.  She can often be found eating sour fruits and desserts, which she seems to enjoy more than more neutral or bitter flavours.  At home, Kadan keeps herself organized efficiently, and though she is always welcoming, she is not expressly fond of guests, as they add a layer of uncertainty to her orderly home space. 

When not engaged in hero work, Kadan often works as a model, primarily for aspiring artists rather than for high fashion or business entities.

Kadan keeps a white cockatoo as a pet, named Cashew.

BACKGROUND HISTORY

Kadan would have, for much of her life, rather have forgotten her early past, but has come to accept herself and the trauma she endured. 

As a young girl, since her quirk developed, Kadan was the subject of physical and emotional abuse by her single mother for several years, and the entirety of her early childhood.  After a violent altercation at home, Kadan severely injured her mother and ran away from home at 13 years old.  Kadan went missing for four months before finally being found and placed in the custody of her aunt and uncle.

Kadan went through many years of intense therapy to become grounded enough to safely attend a hero course, as it was found to be a positive outlet for her intense anger.  Through school, up into her later years, Kadan would be an angry, bitter, and antisocial person.  Driving most people away until finally forced subtly to make friends by her teachers.  Eventually, Kadan was tricked into caring.

It wasn't until her third and final year that Kadan finally felt respect for herself, and from others.  As an idol to the newest class of freshmen, young Kadan for the first time felt respect from admiration instead of from fear.  She made a choice back then, that she could let her past consume her, or swallow it whole, and be better than she was.

It took work, but she felt better, slowly.  Working as a rookie pro hero transformed Kadan further, until she became an inspiration instead of a monster.

Her work drew her eventually to teach at UA, she sought to draw struggling children out from the brink like she had been. She remains intensely protective of her students, and genuinely tries to make sure every one of them succeeds.

THE ARMORY

• Hero Outfit - Made from her hair, this skin tight jumpsuit melts along with her.
• Communication device - Resistant to acid, can be stored in her slime body when not in her ear.
• Basic tools and First Aid - Not acid resistant, must be discarded when fighting.

Caustic Ooze

TYPE: Transformation
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY:
Caustic Ooze is a transformation quirk which allows the user to melt parts of or the entirety of the user's body into an amorphous mass of highly acidic slime. The slime is of equal mass, but greater volume than the user's normal mass and volume. The slime is about the viscosity of warm honey, can be sticky, and able to move in a manner similar to an amoeba. The slime can be made to be highly caustic, at its most potent concentrations it is able to dissolve organic matter in seconds, and inorganic matter in several seconds or minutes depending on the material- certain metals and plastics are resistant, but few are completely immune. 

While transformed, the user retains their sense of sight, smell, and touch, which become spread out through the slime mass when the relevant sensory organs have been melted. While transformed, the user is completely deaf- only able to "hear" by feeling strong vibrations in the ground, if anything.

The user is able to be compressed heavily while transformed, and transfers blows exceptionally well with their liquid body. Fully melted, the user can squeeze into gaps as thin as half an inch wide, and fit completely into a large jar. Doing so for long periods of time however can be painful. Likewise, having no solid form imparts a great defensive advantage in the form of resistance to most physical attacks. Physical strikes, while not completely ineffective, are at a significant disadvantage when dealing damage to the blob of slime. Strong enough attacks can "splatter" the user, weakening their presence and forcing them to reform to remain a threat.

WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
While the user resists physical damage more effectively while transformed, energy attacks, especially temperature based ones, are highly effective at damaging the slime, as it is greatly temperature conductive. 

The more powerful the acidic body is made to be, the harder it is to remain transformed. While non-acidic and mostly harmless, the user may remain transformed almost indefinitely, however at its strongest, the user may only hold their form for upwards of 2-3 posts before being forced back to their normal state.

While the user can separate their melted parts, they must be together when forced to reform at the time or stress limit. Any missing slime is lost as missing flesh.

A secret weakness of the user comes at a consequence of chemistry. Basic solutions are highly reactive to the user's acidic form, and cause immediate intense damage.

SUMMARY:
A fighting style which revolves around quick misdirection and powerful grappling and throws, Kadan uses her proficiency in this fighting style in combination with her quirk to latch onto her foes with slime, disabling them quickly at melee range.
