Shujin is a young man standing at 5'5" and weighing in at 120 lbs., his complexion compared to that of a peach. He often dresses just like anyone, when he's not entertaining himself and others with street magic - Typically seen in an orange t-shirt, green cargo pants and a pair of orange goggles with a blue star on the right side of it, he appears pretty normal, save for his tomato-colored hair. More often than not, when one sees him working his magic in public, he likes to don the costume of a masked clown, or a stage magician, or whatever costume helps to keep the aura of a professional so as to better entertain the children passing by, and get better tips from their parents Yes, he seems very normal...
...on the surface. Truth be told, Shujin covers himself head-to-toe in make-up in order to hide the numerous scars that cover his body - eternal signs of constant abuse for God-knows-how-long.

RUMOR/SECRET: | for those who know the details, it is said that shujin was tormented through a series of human genetics experiments |
Shujin is an interesting case, in the fact that he cannot be comprised of simply one personality, but several. He has grown up in very extreme conditions, so it is only natural to expect the man to be as equally extreme as to split his own mind into multiple facets of himself so as to hold onto some semblance of sanity. Lovers, Disgust, Envy, Wrath, Fear, Sloth, Joy, Intellect, Despair, and Hope. These are not so much what makes up his persona, but rather are multiple persona created within the depths of his broken mind, each with their own fears and desires, their behavioral quirks, and so much more, that one would think Shujin were a completely different person once they appeared.
The actual Shujin himself is very quiet and reserved, and a tad on the slow side. He is also quite the worry-wart, often concerning himself with the thoughts and concerns of others, even more-so than his own well-being. It's an honorable trait to have, if not for the fact that his own cowardice often has him retreating within his own mind to have one of his other personalities take over from there.

BACKGROUND HISTORY

It was confirmed back in 16th century Germany that there were people with multiple personalities that existed in the world. In some cases, it doesn't just effect an individual mentally, but physically as well. These personalities can sometimes effect the host's physique and the way they speak to a certain degree. A strange, yet fascinating study that is still continued to this day. And Shujin Kagakuma was the subject of that study to the most extreme degree...
At the age of 4, Shujin did was most children with a big imagination tended to do. They would play by themselves when there was no one else to do so. Though, he was never exactly "by himself". His mother at the time had grown concerned with the way he so energetically ran about the house or in public, talking to seemingly no one. She never would have guessed what would come after. When she asked him, "Shujin-chan.. why are you playing by yourself?" In which he looked at her with an eerily calm, deadpan expression and replied...
"I'm not by myself."
What happened afterward was so startling, that his mother had fallen backward in cried out in a mix of shock and fear. Another person appeared beside Shujin, but it wasn't just any person. It was a child who held his exact likeness in physical features, right down to the very same hair, clothes, and expression he held upon his face. Terrified, and worried out of her mind, she took him to a doctor to get him diagnosed. As it would turn out, it was nothing like someone sneaking into their home, or them being haunted by a ghost who happened to look like Shujin. No, it was merely the manifestation of his Quirk. And that was when things started to take a turn...
For as long as Shujin could remember afterward, his parents took him over to a place where many men in white coats could monitor him, waiting to see what sort of changes would take place. For the most part, he would simply play with toys and games like any normal child would, even reading comic books or watching cartoons. At first, there wasn't much result to be seen. However, as time went on, his Quirk began to escalate at a surprising rate. There was his "doppleganger" at first.. and then another.. and another.. all of them behaving the same as Shujin to some degree with minor differences in their behavior. And then came beings who shouldn't very well exist in reality at all, ranging from talking animals, to old super heroes, and at one point, the childish cartoon characters he had already seen. The mother had explained that she originally thought it was just Shujin making an imaginary friend like most children tended to do, but she never imagined it would turn into this.. and even expressed that she never wanted it.
And then things started to become... dark...
After nearly a year of the visitations, Shujin tried to speak with his mother about how he didn't like going to see the "men in white", and that he wanted to play with his friends somewhere else, namely because he wasn't able to truly play at all. He told her about how they were making him wear "uncomfortable things", and how they said he could do what he wanted if he "behaved", but never got to. There were even points when he recalled them sticking him with needles and taking blood from him. One would think that a parent hearing such things would drive them to take their child away from something potentially harmful as quickly as possible, especially if there was no consent given from either the parent, or the child. However...
Shujin's mother did the unthinkable. She had completely turned on her child, stating things like how he was a "monster", or "abomination", saying things like, "We could have been happy if you weren't born with a Quirk!" and many, many other hurtful things that quite frankly, were far too vulgar to be documented. It became apparent that she held a deep-seated hatred towards people with Quirks, and some radical cult had made contact with her, convincing her that she didn't need a son with "demonic powers". So in order to commit to the "holy and righteous path", she made an attempt upon Shujin's life. Sadly for her, that was the very last thing she would ever do.
The scientists who were running tests on the boy would be the ones to take him in after police reports from the neighbors stated that they heard screaming and the sounds of a struggle. Shujin would be the lone survivor, covered head-to-toe in his parents' blood, but silent all the while. No, that's not quite right. When the police had arrived on the scene, they were met with a bizarre, yet horrifying scene - Both parents dead on the floor, and Shujin covered head-to-toe in blood and holding... himself? The only thing he said as he sat there on the floor crying, holding onto his doppleganger was
"Mama killed my friend.."
As the years went on, Shujin continued to be tested and experimented on under the supervision of corporate scientist, being subjected to all kinds of tests and drugs that not only changed him physically, but mentally as well. His body became strong enough to do what most people couldn't unless they were at peak physical condition, easily rivaling Olympic athletes who were well into their late 20's to mid-30's. Though, this was not attained through natural means, as it would of course, take much longer than a handful of years. This was thanks to a particular drug that had been developed with the idea of enhancing Quirks, as well as granting them to those who were Quirkless. The only downside, however, was that it contained components that were harmful to the body and the mind, often making most test subjects go completely insane to the point of dying from the nervous system destroying itself. Most cases rendered a test subject catatonic. Others.... died.
Shujin was one of the few who survived such a grueling moments, constantly screaming his lungs out as his body burned on the inside, yet froze on the outside, at first, rejecting the drug entirely. However, unlike the others, he was still conscious. He still lived. But this, along with so many other brutal methods which cannot be documented here, forced him to create more "friends" as a defense mechanism to help him cope during his time of isolation. Each year, he'd create a new facet of his personality, his Quirk breathing life into them. Building them. Perfecting them. And each year, he would also dedicate time and energy into granting them autonomy and a sense of individuality. Each "friend" he created was like a completely different person, all while still being a clone of himself, and even held slightly differences in their physical features to help tell them apart.
There was also once another child who would come in once in a while as a playmate, not running from Shujin or his dopplegangers, but embracing them all, making them feel like actual people. The only catch was that if Shujin wanted to be able to play with his new friend, he would have to behave and put up with the experiments as time went on. Of course, the other child had no idea of what was truly going on behind the scenes, but it was something Shujin could deal with if it meant having some kind of connection to the outside world. A silver lining to this horrible period in his life. But...
The story goes darker, still...
Fast-forward ahead to two years prior to present day... Shujin has fully-developed his Quirk's abilities.. and has successfully escaped from the facility. But not without wreaking some havoc. Not without having some fun. Shujin.. or rather, his personae had made sure to terrorize everyone working within the facility on that day before he left, as if to send a clear message about what it was these so-called "men of science" wound up cultivating. It went without saying that this particular facility was all about taking children with unique Quirks and weaponizing them for the company by any means necessary. Well.. they got their weapon. And Shujin was robbed of his years of youth. Among the many mangled corpses that were strewn about the place, there was certainly one thing that rang loud and clear as the local police force stumbled upon the scene of the massacre - the results of this experiment were successful, but had gone horribly awry, especially as they looked upon the one farewell message scrawled in blood everywhere...
"HEE HEE HEE HEE! HA HA HA HA! HO HO HO HO!"
And now we skip ahead to present day... Shujin has been living his life very quietly with the help of his multiple persona, making a living as a professional stage magician, as well as some additional money on the streets. It's all very innocent enough, when you think about it. But recently, under the guise as a Villain, he has been very busy with organized killings in the most sporadic of ways, primarily hunting down Pro-Heroes, leaving behind cryptic messages like "Chaos, chaos!" or "Dark, darker, darker still..." and "He's coming..!" So far, no one has been able to decipher the meaning behind such messages, just like no one has been able to properly identify Shujin, or his villainous guise. The only thing they have to go on is the seemingly meaningless deaths, the bloody messages scrawled on walls, and a sort of "calling card" if you will.
At the age of 4, Shujin did was most children with a big imagination tended to do. They would play by themselves when there was no one else to do so. Though, he was never exactly "by himself". THE ARMORY
The Costume - Shujin's costume much resembles that of a jester back in the ages of the Renaissance with slight modern touches here and there, such as a hoodless, armless cloak with bells attached to the tail ends, most likely with the idea of alerting his soon-to-be prey of his presence.
Throwing Cards - A deck of cards crafted out of a fine metal measured at 3 1/2 in. x 2 1/4 in. and flexible as it is durable. Painted over and textured to feel like actual playing cards, Shujin utilizes them for both fronts of his duo-life. By day as the entertainer, they serve as a tool to wow the masses into giving him their hard-earned cash. But by night(or day, depending on the time), they are one of his favored tools of assault, sharp enough to cut down cut into the thickest hides(person or animal), and to even pierce steel(no further than 1/10 of the individual cards). They're not the best weapons up close, but can be thrown at maximum distance of 10 ft.
Explosive Toys - Just as the name implies, Shujin has made his own toys that are engineered in a way to hold some truly volatile explosive materials inside that have enough explosive force that can range from something as small as a firecracker to something as large as military grade grenades(that's 6.5 ounces of high explosive material with an explosive radius of 15 meters). Ex: Marbles, Plushies, Jack-in-the-Boxes, etc.
Razor Ring - A large steel ring where the outer edges have been trimmed to be sharp enough to cut through most materials up to normal steel. Shujin treats this unorthodox weapon as a hula-hoop, combining strange movements in such a way that it's almost like a dance. A very deadly dance..
Judgement Scythe - A large scythe where the weapon overall, is nearly as large as his own body, and yet, he wields it with expert movements and precision. His favorite go-to-weapon for when he has cornered his prey, or when he is trying to get things done quickly in a fight. Not as flashy as his Throwing Cards, but equally as entertaining!

QUIRK & SKILLS
MAD CIRCUS
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY:
Aptly named "Mad Circus", this Quirk is a very unique type of cloning that is tied directly to his psyche. Ever since he was young, he has had a vast and vivid imagination, much like most children around the age of 4 did during their time. But unlike them, the young man is able to take those imaginations and bring them to life. But as time went on when he spent those years in the facility, it became more pin-pointed on what specifically he could bring out. This type of cloning specifically replicates copies of himself that represent facets of his personality - Love, Disgust, Envy, Wrath, Fear, Sloth, Joy, Intellect, Despair, and Hope. A total of 10 personalities for 10 clones at his disposal.
Over the years, Shujin has created and developed these personalities as his personal defense mechanism to hide his true self from the world, enabling at least some semblance of himself to better be able to handle social interactions, or merely to protect him from whatever danger would come his way. At least, that was the original intention. His personae however, seem to have taken the wheel and have now committed his life to one of crime and violence. Or at least, one of them has.
- When creating his physical clones, he can create up to 5 at a time, and grants them autonomy and individuality so that they may properly express themselves. But even with this in mind, they also do operate through a "hivemind" connection, allowing Shujin to see, hear, and feel everything that they go through. When they are successfully replicated, they come equipped with all clothing and equipment that he may be wearing at the time, with minor differences, such as altered colors, paler complexion, etc. This very easily makes Shujin a strong asset for information gathering, and being that they are each as strong as the host body, they can easily overpower opponents through strength and numbers.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
- Only 5 clones can be present at a time at any given moment., as attempting to replicate anymore would put too much strain on Shujin's psyche.
- Splitting one's mind quite literally puts an immense strain on the main host's mind, thus, prolonged activity builds greater risk in Shujin's psyche breaking even further than it already has. This sometimes results in something of a "psychic backlash", in which Shujin will suffer from a severe headache that will immediately recall all of his clones to be reabsorbed into himself, and all of his personae will start to go berserk with mad, unintelligible chattering. Either way, it would render him defenseless due to the sudden shock. During combat after 5 posts of being present, all clones must retreat back inside of Shujin in order to prevent him from suffering the effects of this backlash, remaining dormant for 3 posts before they can be manifested again.
- No matter the number of clones dispatched at once, all of them can only operate within a fixed distance from the main body. The clones operate best while remaining within a 10-foot radius of Shujin's main body, otherwise they will be "pulled" by a sort of recoil that draws them back closer to the main host
- Autonomy and individuality can sometimes create some internal strife when one's multiple personalities can exist on their own, so it should be no surprise that if one attempts to override the others, a show of mental struggle can be vividly seen as a display of Shujin arguing with... well, himself. This more often-than-not draws a lot of unwanted attention to himself
- Death of the clones is a very real thing, as their manifested bodies all possess the same features and functions of the main host. Two things happen upon the death of a clone.
1. Shujin's main body can feel everything the clone feels. Thus, if they were to be shot through the heart through one mean or another, Shujin will feel that pain, as well as experience a tremendous shock to his nervous system.
2. When the clone dies, that is it. There is no "poofing away", or being reabsorbed into Shujin's body and "getting better". That clone is permanently dead, taking any and all individuality with it, and decreasing the number of clones Shujin can create.
He can always create another clone based upon the same facet of that particular personality, but it would require him a full year(20 threads) to build and develop it to be at the same point as the others. In other words, he only has as many clones at his disposal as he has put the time into building them.

RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
Shujin is surprisingly skilled when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, as well as a decent level of mastery over his weapons in order to compensate for moments where his clones are not enough, or if he finds himself in a bind where he cannot manifest his clones at all.
PROJECTILE PROFICIENCY
RANK/LEVEL: B
SUMMARY:
Shujin is very well-versed in handling projectiles of a wide-variety, typically ones akin to kunai or throwing stars, hence, why he has a deck of cards made in such an express purpose. Though cards aren't the only thing he likes to throw! It can be balls, knives.. a shoe! Almost anything can be thrown with enough practice! Almost..
SCYTHE PROFICIENCY
RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
It takes a bit of skill to handle a polearm weapon with a bladed end. It takes even more skill to handle a polearm with a large, curved blade with the intent of cutting through objects.. or people. But considering certain facets of Shujin's personality, it comes as no surprise that he would choose to wield a weapon often tied together with images of the Grim Reaper itself.
MAGIC
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY:
No, not "actual magic", where one can conjure up the elements and such in fantasy-themed games and the like. "Magic" as in card tricks, escapism, illusions, things like that. The profession that Shujin has identified with since his escape from the corporate facility that has allowed him to make a living in life. And this is not supernatural by any means, no, no. This is all stage magic, meaning that there is always a trick to how it is done, no matter how skilled the magician, nor how perfected the feat. Cards out of nowhere with nothing up the sleeves? An illusion - deceit and misdirection. Making cards appear in your pocket? Uh.. there's something to it, right? Making a card appear from inside of his mouth, not covered in saliva, folded neatly, and holding your signature on it? Um...w-we'll get back to you on that. A magician never truly reveals his secrets.. at least, not all of them. One might not see this as much of a skill outside of entertainment, but then again, when one gets desperate enough, even "magic" can aid an individual in taking what they need without force, too.
