This wasn't typical behavior for Sen.
Believe it or not.
Not the stalking, so much as the intent. He was a species of monster that enjoyed the hunt as much as the kill. However, violence was not on the menu that night (not yet, at least). It was disturbing to him how much things could change entirely on such small, unexpected circumstances. The ex-Onishi heir had not anticipated seeing his childhood friend, nay— brother, gallivanting about as a hero of all things. Let alone had he expected to see him ever again. It was safer without dredging up old memories of a weaker species of Sen. For he was no longer the child that led that stupid boy around, whose biggest crimes involved a cake heist. And yet memories intrigued him. It was dangerous, wasn't it? To think up old things and recall that that which existed at one time was now dead and gone. He was not that child anymore and it was likely that Mikaku Dokumi was a much different person than the frightened boy that hid beneath tables during fancy galas.
Mikaku's date was sadly not returning.
The boy wasn't dead, of course, but well after some very choice words, he was likely not in a big hurry to look Mikaku in the eyes again. Sen hated to break up young love, but if Mika was anything like what the rumors suggested, he likely wasn't looking for love anyways. Sen was doing the boy's date a service, really. So the person that returned from the restroom and slipped lazily into the opposing seat at Mikaku Dokumi's table was not the sweet yet charming student from Shiketsu High, but an older, more familiar, less decidedly sweet and charming face, but rather, that of an old friend— a brother, even.
"Talk about a cheap date, snowflake. You really know how to choose 'em." Knee perched over the other though he slouched back in the chair like a natural vagrant. He motioned at a waiter, "Something strong, please. If you can light it on fire it's still not strong enough. Thanks." His smile showed every tooth, like something carnivorous and threatening. The waiter slunk away and Sen's eyes returned to the younger boy.
"Still making your papa proud, darling?"

His date was taking ages in the bathroom.
Mikaku was getting a little worried, wondering if the other boy was ill or something. It was an expensive French restaurant on the 105th floor of a skyscraper in Roppongi Hills, overlooking the whole of Tokyo with it’s bright lights lighting up the night sky. They had just finished their mains when the boy excused himself, and personally he had thought the date was going pretty well. All the usual stuff had been asked, his family, the latest advert he had been in for his family’s company, the student ranking post on the internet…
All the usual things.
It didn’t matter though, Mikaku wasn’t such a romanticist to want someone to “Love him for who he was!” (because he was well aware he was a shit human.) or “See beyond all the superficial stuff!” (because he wasn’t actually sure he wanted anyone to do that, it sounded terrifying.) and the guy was cute enough and would be fun for a while, and that was all he was looking for. He pulled out his phone, quickly checking the 30 messages he had recived on LINE from various people when he felt someone sit back down opposite him and he closed his phone app straight away and looked up.
“I was going to -”
Mikaku’s eyes were wide with surprise, and gave a slow blink.
“S-Sen Oniichan??”
Old habits die hard and it was impossible to call him anything else it just felt weird.
He had been thinking about the older man ever since they met in Tokyo by chance… but what was Onishi Sen doing here?? In front of him?? He did a little research after that, and the other male was most definitely officially missing. And his family and their businesses were in all kinds of problems.
So what was he doing sitting opposite him casually like everything was fine? A faint smile played on his lips as he ran a hand through his almost white hair. All he could do was laugh, really. When he was small he thought Sen was cool because he did such crazy things and thought in ways he could never imagine thinking in, well, he was still doing things Mikaku could not expect in the slightest.
“Well, I guess? I do get told off everytime I get caught by the press doing stuff I shouldn’t be, but for a support, I think I’m not doing too bad on the rankings so he can’t complain.”
The third year shrugged, before he took a sip of the after dinner coffee that was now cold as he had been waiting for his date, his eyes turning a bright cerise as the liquid touched his tongue.
“What have you been up to? I was so surprised to see you the other week…”
No doubt the other was involved in something troublesome as Sen had been hiding his face when they last met. And as the older man seemed to have been fending off a Vigilante… that could only mean…

It amused Sen to no end that the other's first concern was not for the well-being of his missing date. If the villain had been more in the mood, there might have been something to worry about, but Sen found no amusement in the destruction of weak people. If it did nothing to boost his own self-image or self-love than he had no need to want or care about hurting people without the power to protect themselves. It had nothing to do with compassion though, of course, it was simply selfishness.
"The one and only." He said, smirking at the familiar old endearment the other had given him. It seemed old habits were indeed hard broken, but it didn't seem right slipping from the mouth of the younger man who was no longer that little scared kid. He was there because he couldn't let the other be, not after what had occurred the other day though that filled him mostly with mild embarrassment considering what had happened.
A support. How fascinating, so the boy was a junior hero-to-be. How quaint. Though strangely frustrating, how might have handled meeting Mika under different circumstances. He could take killing just about anyone, but it'd be a lie to say he wasn't still soft on the memory of the boy he used to play with. He glanced over as a drink was placed in front of him, taking a little sip and glad to find that it was in fact about as alcoholic as one could get.
"Did you think I was dead? Were you glad?" He asked curiously though there had never been bad blood but he wasn't certain what had changed, "Oh not much, I'm not a U.A. student or alumni by any means, but I still get by. I'm a.... networking entrepreneur so to speak." It wasn't entirely a lie. He could say many things without them being a technical lie. Though he could have always told him the full truth without shame. At one time, he had targeted the other's family, as they'd had, at one time, a connection to his own family, but they had been smart enough to sever those connections. "Perhaps I'm a ghost."
"So... a hero huh? Never would have imagined that for you, honestly... but then again, who am I to talk? Even my own parents had talked about U.A. though everyone knew they were full of shit and reeking of blood money. Sounds like a lot of work for no gain, if you ask me."

“I-I didn’t know what to think really, because Papa wouldn’t tell me anything when I asked...so you know how it is, means it’s yet another taboo subject.”
It was a #YouKnowYou’reARichBoyWhen… thing. They had a zillion subjects they just weren’t allowed to mention or ask about because they just couldn’t, something both of them learnt at a very young age.
“I was worried though... H-hey!Why would I be glad!?!”
Lavender eyes were wide with confusion. Why would Sen think that? He had no actual knowledge of all the drama or any of the crimes the other man had committed, or even rumors. A mix of a laissez faire attitude on Mikaku’s part, and careful censorship on his parent’s part meant he really was ignorant on the whole situation.
“No no~ You are definitely real, ann~d you are right here in front of me. You know, I ended up in that mess in Shibuya because I heard your voice and I was like, ...I KNOW THIS VOICE!! And had to see who it was… I wasn’t even meant to be out that late alone or in Tokyo even...ahahaha…”
Sen’s surprise about him being a hero to be wasn’t surprising, to be honest. He sometimes, no, often questioned his own reality too. Infact, the fact these days he was starting to take it all a bit too seriously like some real U.A student was even more scary. Someone like himself who had never been serious or committed about anything...damn, was this what it meant to be getting old??
“Yeah well… they worked out a way to make my quirk work in a way that makes it like a sin to Japan, an international crime not to be a field support… or something like that.”
Mikaku shrugged casually. Back when they used to hang out, his quirk was still in the research stages and they had not developed that “Healing drug” or “Death potion” yet, so it was just a weird party trick that he could tell the other boy of all the makeup of whatever they ate just by tasting it. Well, that in itself was something that could be used to analyse how certain drugs were made which was useful in itself…
“So you know, for the good of the company’s image or something like that. It’s mostly boring but I guess it isn’t all that bad...and as long as I sort of do what Papa asks, I get left alone to enjoy my free time.”
Which reminded him…
“Uhhh~ Talking about enjoying free time...What happened to the guy who was extremely interested to see the VIP floor executive suite of Four Seasons, of course, because I’m an extremely irresistible guy…”
The young man joked rolling his eyes casually. He was used to it, and he didn’t blame people for behaving that way with him, really. And as long as he got what he wanted he didn’t really care either… as long as everyone was happy it was all good right?
“You didn’t like… push him out of a window did you…?”
He joked, with Sen’s answer about his current occupation he could tell there was something more to it, it was the classic wording for people like them that meant a half truth but he didn’t really push on it, he doubted it could be anything that bad.

Mikaku Dokumi had grown up.
That much should have been 100% fucking obvious, but Sen was still spiraling from the fact that this was the same kid that had stupidly tagged along with his punk ass through hell and high water. Something about him, about who Mika was now made sense. The same way that Sen's fate made sense for him. He smiled fondly, almost out of his own nature if it wasn't for someone he had a particular soft spot for. "Yeah well... good. I figured they might have lied or something."
Would he have turned out differently if he was still with his family? Likely not the same way as Mika. No, he didn't even want to know what kind of mindless monster he would have turned out to be as heir of the Onishi family. His family had dug their roots into the belly of this city, rotted it from the inside out and he would have turned out even worse. Did that matter to him though? He wasn't certain. He had always been a monster, but never mindlessly so... he would never become a puppet for them to play with.
He felt himself redden some at the debacle that was the catnapping in Shibuya, quickly glancing away from him, "Yeah yeah sure.... let's not mention Shibuya, please."
In truth, it made sense for Mika to be a hero, just in the same way it made sense for Sen to be the person that he was. Though he fiercely denied being a product of anything but his own making. The world certainly hadn't fought hard to make him anything but a villain, a murderer, a demon. "It suits you though... I remember when you healed my knee when I fell and scraped it on the concrete." Not a memory that aligned with the image he projected now, he was no longer that boy but at one time he had been breakable. He had cried and he had needed fixing. Sometimes he missed that kid.
"He's not bullying you, is he?" He asked with a tone of seriousness, despite himself.
Oh yeah, he already forgot about the other guy. Sheepishly, he admitted, "I might have told him you ugly cry during sex. Among a few other false details. I'm sorry, but I really can't stand being made to be the third wheel. I'm needy like that."

“What...actually happened?”
Mikaku asked softly, his large, sparkling violet eyes showing concern. It was a look he could od at will, though he actually was concerned for the older male so it was genuine. He knew he probably didn’t care as much as a half decent person would, as he never bothered finding anything out until the situation hit him in the face (aka, Shibuya) but...he was still worried. More worried then he would be of most people in the world, because Sen had probably been his first friend, or what one would call a friend. Heirs of large corporates didn’t have friends, they only had contacts and connections that were useful. That was a fact- he knew that, Sen knew that, and probably simply thought of him as that but...still.
Still.
There were some things you couldn’t fully dehumanise, disconnect from and at least, for Mikaku childhood friends were one of them, he supposed.
“Ahahahaha ok, ok, I get it~”
He laughed, shifting in his seat as a waiter cleared the empty plate in front of him. He did sort of wonder what got the older man in that situation in the first place, but well...he guessed he wasn’t going to ask.
“Yeah, oh man, you still remember that? I was so proud I managed to fix that graze, huh? Well I’m a bit more useful now, so if you ever really need healing...hit me up~!”
Though what the other had said to him when they reunited for the first time sort of confused him, though.
“Oh yeah, Oniichan, what did you mean by… I had disgusting blood, by the way? You said that back then, and I was super confused. No offense taken ofc, like I totally get my family isn’t exactly...Japan’s top idol…”
The third year added with a casual shrug and grin.
“Papa? Nah, he’s fine, I mean we only talk like once or twice a year, he’s usually all over the place and I live alone now so…”
Mikaku didn’t really care about the lack of family he had, but sometimes, just sometimes he was a little curious about what live he was missing. What if he was born into a normal family, what would have happened? Would he have been like Ryuusei, bent on doing anything and everything for someone else? It sounded a little dumb and also kind of...nice… at the same time. To be able to feel like that. To have that mentality. It probably was a fantasy thought he had because of who he was, but he couldn't help but imagine. He was pretty sure everyone like them had this thought more than once or twice.
At hearing what Sen had apparently told his date, he blinked a little dumbstruck before laughing hard, curling a little as he did so.
“Ahahahahahahaha owwww Sen oniichan did you...actually tell him that?? Owwww… guess ima read about it on SNS tomorrow, huh?”
He didn’t sound like he minded too much, however.

"What actually happened?"
At that question, he was silent, his expression was even offering no sense of vulnerability, but he felt it for a sliver of a second. He didn't know, for that moment, whether or not to lie. Would it be easier to just play it off with a laugh and come up with some pretentious bullshit? That might have been more believable or acceptable. Truthfully, he didn't know if he knew Mikaku Dokumi. If the kid had grown up with his family it was likely he knew how to play the game as well as Sen could (or well, almost as good, no one played the game quite like the Onishi).
"I don't know... I guess I got tired of being what they wanted me to be." He shrugged at that, pausing and knowing he was skipping a large part, but he wasn't going to clarify, "I wanted to destroy them so I did. Or well.. I tried to. Turns out demons are pretty hard to kill."
What had happened to him was far more complicated than that but he doubted that the younger man actually cared all that much. It was not within their species to care much. It was easier to only give and take with half concern and only care when their own interests were concerned. They could pretend all they wanted that there was something soft and sweet beneath the surface but there wasn't. At least not in Sen, for soft and sweet emotions were saved for only one other significant person by this time in his life. Though he felt that Mika was, by some degree, far kinder than he himself was.
"I might need healing though not much touches me these days." He said with a smirk, a little full of himself but at the same time it had always been the case, even before he got a good fix on his quirk, he had always been a quick study on picking up new ways to use his quirk. Stealing extra rolls through the tables and even then it had always been a little dangerous considering one mistake could mean losing a hand through some solid barrier.
He stopped at that question, blinking in confusion, "Disgusting blood? Did I.... oh that must have been.... not me. That wasn't me." He couldn't remember if Mika knew about Onryo as a factual thing. It had been an invisible friend at one time, nothing more than an imaginary voice in his head only until it wasn't. But he couldn't recall if he had ever talked to the other about it. "Sometimes my quirk can sense things like that. Presences, smells, that or he just knew you... I don't know. He knew something about you though that reminded him of something. This doesn't really make sense, I'm sorry."
Sen knew he was shit at explaining his quirk to other people, really it just made him feel and sound crazy. And he wasn't 100% sure he wasn't just simply crazy half the fucking time, though Aya always seemed to get it even when he didn't. It was nice to have that kind of support.
"That's good." At least Mika's family weren't like his own, if only they had stayed away somewhat, gave him some space and freedom, maybe he would have turned out different. Though he was fairly certain he wouldn't have turned out better in the end. Was he really all that well off though?
Truthfully, he had threatened the guy un the way only he was trained to do. There was no option for the poor bastard to stay, not if he hoped to survive it (though whether or not Sen would have followed through with said threat he still hadn't decided), but regardless he didn't tell Mikaku this. "Maybe." He said with a cheeky grin, shrugging.

Tired of….being what they wanted me to be.
Words Mikaku could very much relate to. There was a certain character sheet that came with the names “Onishi Sen” and “Dokumi Mikaku”, and they were issued to the two (and probably other children in their position, no doubt) at birth and they were supposed to follow it, regardless of their own wants, desires, thoughts or personalities. It was no doubt suffocating and he could understand the desire to break free, to tear every layer off and step out. With the rumors about Sen’s parents and the man’s words, the more unsavory stories may be true- not that Mikaku would dislike or judge the other for it, he knew more than anyone else they couldn’t control the actions of their parents.
But at the same time he knew he couldn’t do that, he needed to be the next heir to his parent’s corporation, so many people’s livelihoods depended on it, on the company being successful for decades to come like it had. Tens of thousands of people lived off the whole network, and it was going to be his job to protect them. That and he didn’t know of any other life anyway, what would he do with himself if he wasn’t Dokumi Mikaku? To be quite honest, right now probably the latter was the reason he didn’t just walk out of everything, however tempting it was. The former was something his father had told him over and over again but it still somewhat didn’t feel real, and if it was real, that was a fucking terrifying prospect.
A prospect Mikaku wasn’t ready for yet, nor did he know if he ever would be.
“Well, if you ever do, just give me a call. I’ll come straight away.”
The younger male held out his mobile, shaking it to bring up the share number feature, waiting for the other to do the same.
“It turns out if I take in toxins, my body automatically produces an antitoxin which can be consumed by others too. I’m basically a healing potion factory hahaha”
Well, it WAS the name of his quirk afterall, though that was a pop name given by his PR team, but he guessed it was pretty self explanatory and catchy.
“Oh, wow, you can do manifestations like that of your quirk now? That’s pretty damn cool.”
Mikaku nodded at Sen’s explanation, he could remember the older man having a “invisible friend” that he simply accepted as reality back then but well that made sense, a sentiment quirk. That was pretty rare in itself, he had not come across one in all his case studies of the last 3 years of UA students, actually thinking about it now.
“Well, I guess it has been a while since we last met, and Sen Oniichan always had a cool quirk in my opinion just it’s upgraded now huh?”
Maybe Sen was like him, a designer child. It was probably another reason he felt they could relate, thinking about it now. They both had quirks that were so spotlighted, encouraged, pushed further by their respective parents to the point it was pretty obvious they were meant to have them.
“Yeah, just doing what you do when you live alone, sneaking out without the driver cos it’s weird af to have him drive you around to love hotels and stuff…oh yeah and that’s how I was even in Tokyo in the first place that day...”
A mock sigh came from Mikaku as Sen grinned at him, though he shrugged to show he didn’t care.
“Oh well~ though I don’t ego search, I’ve been told both correct and numerous incorrect rumours regarding many aspects of my sex life are floating around on the net about me anyway so one more can’t hurt.”
Bright violet eyes glinted with a sparked interest in the answer to his next question.
“But what about you? How is your love life these days?”

They were both the same boys that had taken very different paths and trajectories in life. In truth, Sen knew where his destiny likely led him. And there would be nothing but misery and death. Did it make him envious of Mikaku? In a way, he was jealous that the other was capable of living in blissful ignorance, but no he certainly wasn't jealous of Mika. They were the same boys, but one of them was quite a bit more vicious than the other and his future was spelled in death and destruction. One of them would die young and despised while the other lived loved by hundreds. There was no question who fit where.
His excuse was that he hated his family, he hated everyone, he hated himself. His excuse was he enjoyed the taste blood and thrived in violence. Perhaps there was another path for him, but Sen never even considered it. This was just the person he was and he was okay with that. Even if that meant he would die alone and full of fury. Sen smiled then as the other pulled up his phone, then considered his own. For a rich kid, he cared very little for technology and so simply handed it over to have whatever done to it. Likely would have had Aya ripping out his hair.
"Sounds handy, but I don't think you would want to meet me in the places I haunt. But I'll keep you in mind." It certainly was a better idea than going to his alternative healer (if she could even be called that). Considering what had happened last time when Aya got hurt, he'd much rather have a more pleasant option to go to. Begging the she-devil was not his idea of hospitable care.
"I can do some things, nothing big and fancy." Ever such the modest snake. "Except you were designed to heal people."
What was he designed to do? Rule an empire, kill without even being seen, become the perfect weapon, likely something along those lines knowing his parents.
Wait? What?
There were many things that Onishi Sen could handle with ease. He could happily face down anyone with the intent to kill, regardless of his likelihood to win the fight. He could face death itself without blinking. And yet... in the face of such a question he was struck silent and stupid.
"Love life? Do I seem like the type to have time for a love life?" He laughed just for effect. Then he considered the question with more care. There really had been no one to consult about this stuff. His parents had an arranged marriage in mind with no questions allowed. He didn't exactly have friends. It wasn't like he could talk to someone from Hive without being laughed at and ruining his image. And frankly, discussing it with Aya left him more confused than before the actual conversation began. He'd never felt so awkward about something he was, at one time, fairly self-learned and skilled at. He was a flirt for a reason, but all outside opportunity was stifled and all of his care was focused on a single individual. "Well I mean...." He sighed, "I'm in love with the worst person ever."

From the nuances of what was being said and the slight signals in his senior’s body language, Mikaku could tell the other man was involved in a dangerous world. Probably something grey, something possibly a little illegal, but never less what he knew of Sen he was clever- he would probably be fine in that sort of world, and he wasn’t going to go around how to tell people how to live their life, even if he was a hero to be.
He probably, definitely was just being a little too naive, even though he could read people pretty well, hell, he was meant to be good at it. But his latent wish for people he knew from so long ago to be good people at the very core prevented him from suspecting the other male as much as he usually would have, had this been a stranger sat opposite.
“Hahaha I’ve been dragged to pretty scary places during my internship, I think if Papa knew he would have a fit...”
Mikaku took the device from Sen, transferring the numbers. It wasn’t like he was all that great with technology either, he knew enough to work things but his strength wasn’t electronics, that was other people’s job. “Scary” was putting things rather lightly, he knew more than anyone else (even Ryuusei) that they very almost died, it had been just short of a miracle they had survived.
Thinking back on that incident he really wasn’t sure how they both survived with so little lasting injury, with how long it must have taken for both to be found and taken to hospital he was sure Ryuusei would have atleast lost permanent use of his right leg.
He could still remember the gory way the bone had broken and stuck out of his friend’s leg that day- but it had been fine, as if it hadn’t happened hardly even a scratch... maybe he had hallucinated things worse than they had been, thanks to hysteria and the black potion of death. It was the most plausible theory, really.
“I know we are older now and we have our own lives and stuff but... be careful, okay? And I’ll help if you need it so just let me know.”
A slight concerned look that was pretty genuine. He wasn’t sure if the other male would take it as such (he probably wouldn’t, Mikaku expected that.) but he did mean it. He felt like connections one made when they were much younger were probably more pure than ones later on and he honestly hoped Sen would keep himself safe.
“Hey, we all find time for a love life unless we really die inside and become a robot for the smooth running of society..”
The teen laughed at that. The moment those words left his surrogate brother’s lips he could tell someone sprung to the black haired man’s head straight away. It actually made him feel glad- he knew more than anyone it was so hard yet a secret desire for people like them to make a true emotional connection with someone else.
“I’m in love-“
Oh, it was really serious. Even if his words were rather... tsundere, the look on his face, the way his demeanour was, the faint aura he seemed to give out, it all said that clearly Onishi Sen had found that illusive person, at least for himself- an actual lover, someone to genuinely care about.
“That’s great, Sen-oniichan, you must really love eachother. I’m happy for you!”
A smile spread across his face, his eyes lighting up happily. He felt much happier than he would have if anyone else had told him of this kind of news, he supposed it was because Sen was like him, and for them that kind of relationship was nothing short of a miracle to come across. 99.99% of people who came close to them had some ulterior motive, and it was usually not even primarily the sexy kind. It was because of their family background, their money, their influence, something that could be taken advantage of. He knew the other probably was most talented at recognising these kinds of humans, so if he was in a relationship with someone, it must be the real thing.
It sort of made sense now also, if Sen wasn’t living under his parents, he could have relationships and love whoever he wanted to. It meant as a person...he...had a future.
“And aside from being the worst, what are they like? I bet they are beautiful~”

Mika had always been naive, but never stupid. Sen doubted he was being all that convincing when it came down to the nature of his "job" or his life choices. He didn't scream "moralistic" in any definition of the word no matter how sweetly he made himself out to be, though he seriously doubted that the younger man knew the full extent of his dealings. Would it have even mattered? Was the other the type to report him if that was the case? He didn't really know him that well, not anymore at least.
"I'm always careful." He said with a sweet smile. It was others that were not so safe from him. Sen took a quick sweep of their surroundings, he hadn't been to a fancy place like this in awhile. Truthfully, he couldn't likely afford it. Not that money was ever really all that important to him anymore, he could have easily plucked a wallet from some sorry rich excuse of an idiot and paid for his dinner if he really felt entertained to do so. It reminded him of his youth, sarcastic and biting, ridiculing staff like it was a game. It was likely Mika didn't remember that part of him, so hellbent on thinking of him as his onii-chan that he didn't notice that the Onishi heir was rotten to the core. Then again, as he aged into his teens, he saw less and less of the younger man.
Even so, apart of him wanted reminisce on times far less complicated. Times when he felt sweeter and more free— happier stupider times. So his admission into subjects of heart felt less like a detrimental fuck up or an exposure into his weaker inner self and more like a lifeline to a past friend. And yet, even then he still felt guarded over it, like a cat ready to pounce.
I'm in love.. Well that sounded quite serious. Was he honest even? Oh god, what had he just done?
Sen shrugged, a simple snort in retort to the congratulations. It felt flat, he didn't know what to say. He almost felt like taking a step back, rewording himself in a frenzy but that would look amateur and pathetic. He was anything but amateur.
"Cold, dead-eyed, about as hard to read as a brick wall. He is beautiful though, doesn't even fucking realize it, the bastard.." He grumbled on, arms crossed then and resting his chin on them, "Is a fucking Otaku boy.. really, we have nothing in common besides our goals, but... when we're together everything makes sense. I used to feel so fucking angry, like an animal with it. I just wanted to break things even if it killed me, but with him I feel in control, I feel calm. It's like I was broken in half and he's that other half, you know?" God, he felt like a fucking idiot admitting to all of this. It sounded so fucking stupid.
"I haven't a damn clue what I'm doing... I've only ever broken things, hurt people, it's all I was ever taught to do..." Said with the shake of his head, fingers slipping forward towards the closest glass of alcohol. It would do very little to him, but the buzz on the way down was nice at least. "My parents taught me how to hurt, to lie, to use, not how to love. So I always end up hurting him."
Stopping then, he considered the younger man, realizing that there was something he didn't get when he was rich and powerful, and ironically, it was one of the reasons he had hated his family. "Your parents set you up with someone yet?"

That sweet smile was telling Mikaku he had every reason to worry about his surrogate brother’s life. It was telling him “Move along, nothing to see here, don’t stop and stare or else you’ll see the huge hole of abyss and void behind me.” But he knew as a fellow fake, rich boy that he was never going to be able to make Sen admit something he didn’t want to. It was fine, as long as the older man knew that he was willing to help in any and every way he could, he just had to give the word.
The third year might not be the most reliable or nicest person in the world, but he still ...wanted to be of help, especially to the people who mattered to him, and well, Sen was more on the scale of someone he cared about than 90% of the rest of the world who were etceteras.
Mikaku should be, and was pretty used to people gushing about how much they loved someone. It was mostly directed at him, and he always smiled and nodded, though he always treated it like some kind of background noise, ultimately. But the way Sen spoke about his special person was...different. The words were raw, honest and a little awkward, something he was sure was an anomaly, people like them were trained experts at running their mouth of empty words and compliments. For Onishi Sen to find it hard to express something…
Bright violet eyes were glistening back at the other man’s grey ones as he listened, his smile growing as Sen spoke on.
“I’m...really glad you found someone like that, Sen-Oniichan.”
Mikaku said softly once the other finished, it really sounded like every person likes them’s dream come true. Ultimately, there was only one thing you couldn’t buy and that really was that soul mate, other half, life companion.
“I...honestly hope you two are happy together… oh...well, you know, it’s already been provisionally decided since I was born, I haven’t seen them in a while tho… I think my parents waiting until I’m around 23 to really seal the deal you know, so I guess I have… 5ish years left of single life~”
He laughed a little, shrugging with a small sigh as if to say “That’s how life rolls, doesn't it?”
