TAIGA TAKEI
twenty-three • pro hero / pro big-bro • firstborn son

are you interested in playing a pro hero? have you ever thought about exploring a familial relationship that’s just a tad awkward and strained? ever read any of aki’s posts and thought to yourself, “golly, i wish i could strangle and/or noogie this idiot child”? boy, do i have the character for you!
here’s taiga takei, 23 years-old, and the first son in the li/takei line. he’s the one who did everything right; who made it all the way to pro-heroism with an ace skillset only money and years of intensive tutoring can buy. the brothers were close as children -- the first person aki sought when a chunk of his arm fell off was taiga -- but with taiga moving away to stay at u.a., and his hero work post-graduation, they’ve drifted apart in the past few years. aki thinks (unwisely) that his older brother is infallible; the golden boy, in the eyes of the second-rate son. taiga makes it look easy. it hasn’t been, of course. is pro heroism the path he would have chosen for himself? what did he have to sacrifice to get where he is? how does he deal with the pressure -- or is he starting to crumble?
taiga’s personality and motivations are up to you, as is his quirk, though something in line with matter/body manipulation would be ideal. his faceclaim is also up to you to decide: aki’s faceclaim (sakuma ritsu) has an older brother (sakuma rei), but any dark-haired bishounen would work just as well, and i'd be happy to help you search for alternatives. here are some suggestions: wei wuxian (mo dao zu shi), ichiro yamada (hypnosis mic), matsui gou (touken ranbu), shishio satsuki (hirunaka no ryuusei).
if you’re interested in playing taiga and/or have any questions, feel free to dm me on this account, or catch me on discord!
