Oh, the joys of a lazy Friday afternoon. Now this was just the perfect time to kick back and relax; enjoy the clear blue skies and the warm weather. Or better yet, take a second to plan the evening's festivities and prepare for the weekend beyond. Because who the hell needed to sit still doing nothing when you could be having a damn good time instead? Such were the thoughts that occupied Hiro's mind as the white haired youth casually hopped across the rooftops of Musutafu. Sneaking into Valhalla for a show was always an option, or perhaps he could try to do something a bit more productive. He'd heard that there was a new shipment of electronics coming in down at the warehouse and surely no one would notice if one or two went missing... That would require a spending the night planing and carried more risk, but surely that kind of gambling was more preferable to the kind that he had no control over. Then again, there was always-
As Hiro made a jump over an alleyway, the sound to smashing glass from below broke his train of thought. Now what the hell was that? The boy dropped into a roll to help kill his momentum and quickly doubled back to the sound of a chorus of laughter. Peeking over the ledge and down into the narrow passage, Hiro was greeted by the sight of a trio of teenagers lounging beside a stack of crates. Kids from one of the local schools, had to be with those uniforms. And they were... drinking? Bottles and cans littered the alley, had to be a spot they used frequently. Well, not his problem. He didn't care for alcohol himself, but if they were content to tip a few back, more power to them. Figuring that they must have just dropped one of the bottles, Hiro was about to continue on his way when he saw one of them snatch up another and chuck it down to the far end of the alley, where it came to a dead end. And then he saw what they were throwing it at. A cat darted behind a box in a panic as the glass bottle exploded only a foot or so away from it, showering the area in broken shards and old booze.
Oh, so that's how it was.
The cat hissed weakly from behind its cover and the students laughed. And that was all Hiro needed to see before he started to move. The three went back to joking around for a minute or two before the cat once again poked its head out, trying to find a way out of the alley. One of the students immediately reached for a discarded can and took aim, but as he went to throw... nothing happened. He quickly realized that the can was no longer in his hand and glanced around in confusion. As he spun about, he was surprised to find a dark skinned face surrounded by a mane of white hair... upside down? Hiro hung by his knees from the rungs of a fire escape, casually tossing the can up and down as he looked at the group from his inverted perspective. "Who the hell-?" The student exclaimed as Hiro looked at him and a grin spread across his face. Well, looked like he'd found his entertainment for the evening. Tossing the can up one last time, he swung his fist and punched the kid right in the face.

"Thank god It's Friday!"
If there was one thing that Kogami liked, it was the fact that he had the weekend all to himself. There was no sort of homework or extra assignments that he had to do, so that only really left him with spending his days the way that he wanted. Unfortunately, he didn't know his classmates too much to invite them out or something. So right now, Kogami was going solo at the moment.
"Hm...maybe my little sister would want to hang out?"
Liara didn't necessarily act her age at times, it almost seemed as if she was the smartest person in the room when she was with other kids. However, even though she complains about Kogami dotting on her too much, he cares deeply about her.
"But now that I think about it, she did say that she was going on a little date with one of her friends. I think it was at the festival...."
With his brotherly instincts activating, Kogami found himself unconsciously heading to the festival grounds to spy on his little sister. He knew it was wrong and that she wanted her independence. However, he couldn't help but worry at times.
"I don't think they see me...."
Somehow Kogami managed to use a locator app to get on the trial of his sister. They seemed to stop at a pastry shop and have been in there for a little while. But as Kogami waited, he started to hear a few grunts from the alleyway beside him. It was a little distracting, because it sounded like a brutal beating.
He knew that it could be nothing, if that wasn't the case, he also knew that vigilant actions without a hero license were frown upon. However, he wondered what was going on.
"....."
Getting up and walking over, he came across a savage beating of a few students and one younger male. But it looked like the students needed the help the most. The alcohol could be smelled from here, so he wondered if it was a drunken dispute.
"What's going on here?"
He spoke up, but it was mostly because he was a student at U.A and had to set an example.

"Oi, What the hell!?" One of the students shouted and rose to his feet as his friend sprawled to the pavement with a freshly bloodied nose. The kid immediately started forward as Hiro reached out to catch the can that he'd tossed up, taking a second to actually examine the people in front of him. This one stood about five and a half feet tall with messy brown hair, small scar beneath one of his blue eyes, the kid on the ground had short cropped black hair and a fairly large build, and the third sitting a short distance away was kind of lanky, with blonde hair that was swept over to cover one of his eyes. "I don't know who the hell you think you are, but-" The one in front continued, but Hiro wasn't really paying attention to anything he said, just swinging casually from the ladder as he looked them over. Had to admit, the guy had pretty good reactions given the situation though... he was probably the leader of the bunch, if the stunned expression on his blonde friend's face was any indication of hierarchy... Oh, he was still going, wasn't he? Had to pretty mad, his face was getting all sorts a red and his fists were clenched like he was about to-
As the leader took a swing at him, Hiro shifted the hand with the can to intercept. He softened the aluminum to the consistency of puddy and caught the fist in his own before allowing the metal to re-harden around the limb, effectively locking his hand to the student's in a vice grip. With a twist he used the brunette's momentum to pull him closer and then flipped off the fire escape, bending the delinquent's arm back painfully as he came down and slammed a boot into his back to pinned him to the wall. He immediately started to pull on the limb, threatening to dislocate the shoulder and causing the leader to cry out in pain. A cry which seemed to finally shake the blonde out of his stupor, quickly rising to his friend's defense with a shout of his own. Glancing to the side, Hiro liquefied the metal to free his hand and then ducked the lunging swing from the new attacker. A second and third blow were blocked and a fourth was sidestepped before he could back away and shift into a rough boxing stance to face the student.
The kid had decent enough form for the streets, obviously had been a few scraps before... But it looked like he left himself open when he swung with the left. Hiro gave a few exploratory jabs and then feinted to draw out a hook, which he then proceeded to punish. Stepping in close, the boy slipped beneath the blow and then planted his fist directly into the blonde student's gut, making him reel back as he doubled over in a coughing fit.
God it felt good to be in a proper brawl again, that was the only thing that ran through Hiro's head as he turned to face the leader of the delinquents again. The brunette had recovered while he was dealing with his friend, and Hiro was about to dive right back into it when he felt a sudden ping from his periphery; the feeling of rapidly moving metal. On reflex he pulsed his quirk just in time for a mess of silvery liquid to splash against the side of his head. With an amused grin he turned his head to see that his original target had picked himself off the ground, and was now staring down at his hands with a confused expression as the pipe that he was swinging had turned to liquid in his grasp. Huh... his nose wasn't bleeding any more either, maybe some sort of regenerative quirk? Oh well. With a quick swipe across his jacket to collect a coating of metal on his hand, Hiro smashed into his face a second time, more confident that he would stay down longer this time.
No sooner had his last victim hit the ground when a sudden spark of light drew Hiro's attention, and he turned just in time to see a tennis ball sized flame streaking toward him. He instinctively batted it aside with his metal-covered hand, but the fireball burst on contact, leaving a searing heat across his skin even through the impromptu armor. The leader had a fire quirk. Of course he did. Hiro clenched his fist hard in an effort to ignore the sting of the fresh burn and locked eyes with the kid. What a stupid, smug face. Did he really think he'd actually accomplished something with that? Well, it would be rude of him to leave the boy with the wrong impression, now wouldn't it?
Hiro dashed forward without warning, causing his foe to immediately hurl another mass of fire his way, but it wouldn't be nearly as effective this time. Snatching a trashcan lid to use as a makeshift shield, Hiro blocked the blast as he closed the distance and then hurled the metal covering at the student. The delinquent caught the projectile without much of an issue and once again gave a cocky smile, but as he attempted to imitate his opponent and use the lid as a shield against the incoming strike, he found himself rather surprised as the surface rippled. Hiro's fist went right through the metal and caught the leader in the chin, momentarily stunning him as the mute stepped in close.
It was in that moment, as Hiro was just about to deliver the finishing blow, when a new voice called out from the entrance to the alley. The dark skinned boy paused briefly as he found himself glancing towards the new comer, giving his prey just enough of an opening to scramble out of his reach. Fantastic. Who the heck was this guy supposed to be anyway, another one of this idiot's friends, or...? No, wait, he recognized that uniform, it was...
"Hell if I know, This lunatic just attacked us out of nowhere!" The student with brown hair spat out hastily as he seemed to come to the realization himself, causing Hiro to curse silently. This guy was from the UA, and how exactly would this scene look to an up and coming "hero"? Three roughed up students in a back alley with a kid that looked the very definition of street thug. Didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who would probably take the blame, especially when he couldn't talk to defend himself.

Surprisingly enough, Kogami managed to come around towards the end of the vicious beating. Naturally, the other students had the male outnumbered and they were using their quirks. But the hooded individual handled himself well, almost too well. Placement here is the best for perception, it could have been seen in two ways. First, It could have been seen as this hooded individual taking on a bunch of students while they were intoxicated and unable to properly utilize their quirks to protect themselves. It could also be taken in a way such as underage drinking leading to a drunken rage and them taking on a fight that they simply couldn't win. Either way, everyone was going to get in trouble for this. "No matter how I look at it, alcohol was involved for underage drinking which probably led to this altercation. Normally, everyone would have to wait a while until the police show up, but this looks rather brutal. Can those students even walk? You overdid it a little...."
As he spoke to this hooded man, Kogami was going through plenty of scenarios in his head about whether he could get involved? How could he justify it? It could be framed in any kind of way as long as it was worth his attention. But even though it was slight, the man's quirk did intrigue Kogami a bit. It reminded him a little of his own, and he didn't have as much practice as battle experience as he would have liked. To be seen as a good Samaritan that would stand up for other students regardless of what school they went to, as well as coming to the aid of people that desperately needed it. It wasn't vigilantism, he was just stopping a situation from escalating. "You're pretty good, but i'm curious as to how good you are? You wouldn't mind a punching bag that swings back, right? But if it really is a drunken misunderstanding, will you let the students go? The thin line of self defense gets smaller each time you raise your fist. "He clearly sounded like the one whose antagonizing here, but Kogami couldn't help it. He was a dynamic individual with a malicious streak, its that other side of him that he always tries to keep masked and suppressed. Justification for his actions was one of the few ways that he tried to hide it. But that was one of the main things that he struggled with when it came to being a hero. The other side of him was more subtle and only really showed up at the end, but it liked to peak its head. It welcomed the violence, but at the very least, Kogami wanted to give this man the benefit of the doubt and rationalize it. His hand was also quite close to his right side, being ready to draw it the instant he didn't move in the right way that Kogami was comfortable with. There was also the case of making a proper report, which wouldn't do Kogami any good if he ran either. But right now, the ball was in the court of the skilled street thug. It didn't really mean that he would listen to Kogami though, the young U.A. student's presence might of even had negative result.

Hiro eyed the newcomer as they approached, keeping his guard up even though he wasn't really expecting the other three students to have much fight left in them. The Hero student seemed to have come to the most obvious conclusion; that he'd walked into some sort of drunken brawl, and clearly Hiro was the one at fault because.... Well, maybe there was bit of a point there. He glanced over at the trio of delinquents; the leader had a fresh bruise forming on the side of his face, the blonde had apparently lost his lunch after the blow to his diaphragm, and the big guy looked to be down for the count, even if his face was slowly knitting itself back together. Sure, brutal was a way to describe the scene, but even still the boy didn't feel an ounce of remorse about it; these scumbags deserved every blow. As Hiro considered whether or not to actually bother trying to explain the situation to the new guy, he started talking again and...
Huh... Of all the things that Hiro had been expecting from the hero student, that certainly wasn't one of them. Based on what he'd seen of these hero types before, he'd figured there'd be a lecture about the ills of society or the evils of violence, but no, he got an ultimatum of sorts. How very Interesting... The kid didn't seem particularly intent on calling the police, instead giving the street rat two options; he could either just let these arseholes walk away, or he could jump right in to another scrap. There was something about the way the kid phrased it though, like he wanted the fight to happen. This was one strange hero student... not that Hiro minded. If this guy wanted to brawl then he was more than happy to oblige. And if the fight was going to happen anyway...
He might as well make sure the other idiots didn't get away in the mean time.
Without warning, Hiro sprang forward and grabbed the lead delinquent by the shoulders, meeting his surprised gaze before swinging forward in a vicious headbutt. He could feel the kid crumple in his grip, and as the dull pain of the impact throbbed through his forehead, he gave the brunette a gentle shove so that he'd slump back against the wall. Couldn't have the little punk fall and smash his head even worse; there was no lesson to be learned if he just ended up dead.
And now that he was sure the trio would be sticking around longer, Hiro once again turned to face the hero in training. He wasn't sure how he'd react to the sudden outburst, but it was obvious enough that the fight was happening regardless now. With a sly grin, he slipped back into his boxing stance and then held out his fist to the other kid for a bump, making the gesture as if they were about to kick off a friendly sparring match.

It was almost like he expected things to go south, Kogami's plea went unheard and the delinquent continued his vicious beat-down of the students. The idea of stopping was what had to come to mind, but not to this individual. Seeing that a person had enough didn't make him inclined to stop, those who didn't show mercy to others when they won was the kind of people that Kogami liked to face against the most. He didn't have to feel too guilty at that point, but maybe he should start making himself be seen as a threat so the punching maniac over there would start paying attention to him? "Oi, you're fighting with me now."With Kogami saying that as his quirk would start to activate, a plethora of mercury would eject from his body. Right now, Kogami only had about two gallons to work with. However, he had a good level of space if he wanted to play keep-away with his new opponent. In addition to that, Kogami used his mercury construct ability to harden his mercury in order to create a whip-like tendril. The reach of the tendril itself was about 20 feet, which was his max in this circumstance. For the width of the tentacle, it was about 5 feet."Pay attention, I won't be holding back. Not expecting you to either."
The tendril was continuously swung through the force of his quirk in order to lash at Hiro and attempt to hit him. If the blow landed, it would be as strong as a typical person without a strength quirk. This was something that Kogami did as drew his special handle and created a Jitte. This time around he made it blunt, so it was just as good as a baton. At the very least, he was showing his hand in the sense of what he could do. The appearance of the handle weapon was to tell Hiro that he wasn't as vulnerable as he would think Kogami was close up. But at the very least, he wanted to see how Hiro would react to the barrages that were sent his way. Maybe Kogami would be the one to close the gap? Might as well use all forms of combats if you have the option to do so. "If you three can pick yourselves off the floor, get out of here."
Mercury Man
TYPE: Mutation
RANK/LEVEL: D+ Rank
SUMMARY:
Inside of Kogami's body, he contains a couple of organs that result in the natural production of mercury. Mercury is a heavy, silvery-white, poisonous metallic element, and a good conductor of electricity. Mercury is the only metal that is liquid at standard conditions for temperature and pressure. Mercury does not react with most acids, but it dissolves many other metals such as gold and silver. The quirk itself makes him a little pale, as well as changing his hair to a white color. However, due to this being a natural biological function of his body, the high productive contents of mercury in his body doesn't have a negative impact on his health.
With how the mercury is executed, there is two common methods. The first is Kogami ejecting the mercury from his body through his pores and whatnot. The second is Kogami using the mercury vapor that's produced by the solid form in order to condense the particles and produce more mercury from the atmosphere that he naturally leaves behind with the use of his work. The control function of his quirk is based off of magnetic particles that's located around Kogami's brain stem. It allows him to use the magnetic properties to manipulate his produced mercury as an extension of his body.
Mercury Manipulation
As a result of this mutation, Kogami can manipulate the mercury that he produces in a variety of ways. He could either use it's natural liquid form to overwhelm and pummel his opponents, or temporarily solidify the mercury in order to make mercury constructs. In general, his attacks have a versatility that Kogami has access to. In length, height and width, the amount of mercury that Kogami can produce and manipulate at the time is two gallons worth at D + Rank. The length height and width of this manipulation is up to 20 feet. The force of a construct or basic manipulation of the quirk at this time is as strong as a typical person without a strength quirk.
Skill name: One-handed weapon combat (Jitte)
RANK/LEVEL: D
SUMMARY:
Since he has the tendency of using his handles to create one handed weapons of his choice, his universal skill of those choice weapons is something that he practices to develop a unique form of combat with it. The most common creations is a metal Jitte that Kogami can use his manipulate to change the nature of the tip. It can be blunt or sharp at his discretion, but the main reason for it was a non lethal alternative to a baton, along with his fascination with a weapon that was use by the police in Edo period Japan.
Multipurpose Handle: A special handle that reinforces the stability of mercury constructs that Kogami projects upon it. He usually make a knife or a jitte, but the constructs are limited to Kogami's imagination. The durability is equal to kogami's current quirk rank

The street urchin frowned as the hero in training refused to reciprocate his gesture of good sportsmanship, disappointedly pulling his fist back and returning to his stance. That was a right shame. Guy seemed pretty angry though, didn't he? Though Hiro couldn't fathom why... Why were these hero types always so damn dishonest with themselves? It was pretty obvious that this kid wanted a fight, but this is how he reacts to someone indulging him? There was nothing wrong with getting into a good scrap every now and then, guy clearly just needed to learn how to let loose. Good thing he'd run into the perfect person to help with that then, right?
The pale skinned student made the first move, a glistening silver substance pouring from his body and forming into the shape of a wide whip. He wasted no time in striking, but luckily the guy had made the appendage a bit thick for the narrow confines of the alley, so it was easy enough to see coming. Hiro immediately darted to the side and started up the wall, taking three steps before pushing off and reaching for the fire escape to get up and over the attack. As he grabbed hold of the rung and started to swing forward he could feel the approaching whip pass beneath him and ping against his senses. Metal. And liquid metal at that, wasn't that interesting... Each metal had it a distinct feeling to it, and this one was something new to him. With a twist of his body, Hiro threw himself off the fire escape and directly toward his opponent, allowing his hands to tear into the metal structure and coat themselves in the semi-rusted steel in the process.
Coming down right in front of the Hero student, the vagabond could see that the kid had armed himself, some type of blunt weapon made from that metal of his. Dealing with armed opponents was something he actually was pretty used to, although he had to admit that he had no idea how his quirk would interact with someone that could manipulate metal like this. More interesting though was the fact that this guy's whole body felt like more of that metal, which suggested it was being produced in there somewhere... That would be a fun experiment, but now wasn't the best time. Trying not to give the student a chance to bring his weapon around, Hiro dropped into a roll to close what little distance was left between them and then immediately leapt into a full force uppercut, with his steel-armored fist aimed straight at his foe's chin.

"Hm... too big?"
Kogami was observing right now to see what the other person could do. Sure, he had some faith in his abilities, but he couldn't help but have a reactionary fighting style with all the power that he had. Making the right tools for the job is what his metallic constructs circled itself around. At this point, he made an amateur mistake of making the tentacle a little too thick. Hopefully, he wouldn't make that mistake again, but he still needed to suspend his construct. Once he did, the free-form movement of Kogami's mercury was once more.
"........"
As Hiro swung on the rusty ladder and launched himself down to give Kogami, the U.A. student's first attempt at hitting Hiro was using his Jitte baton to knock his attacker right out of the sky. He didn't necessarily need to do this, wanting to make this a little more personal to see if that worked. However, Kogami's swing was off course as Hiro rolled in close range.
"What?! Who does tha-"
The sentence wasn't even finished as Kogami took a sharp metal uppercut to the chin. Of course, it rocked him, leaving Kogami with a bruised Jaw and a bloody mouth.
"Pfft....heh...metal huh?"
Kogami was flat on his arse after that punch, but it didn't come without consequence. With hitting Kogami and making contact with him, it was a chance for Kogami's mercury to get on Hiro.
"Now!"
Closing his fist, the mercury slid up Hiro's arm in an attempt to get to his face and cover it. Regardless of whether Kogami had used this as a distraction of with malicious intent, he came around with a Jitte in order to try to deliver back-swing to Hiro's left leg. At the very least, he wanted to limit the mobility of this rather agile opponent.

As he rose, Hiro could feel his fist connect solidly with the student's jaw, the upward momentum of the blow carrying them both slightly into the air. The thug followed through the motion with a wide arc and quickly reset into his stance as his foe fell flat. A hit like that probably would have taken your average kid right out of commission, but it seemed like this guy was made of sturdier stuff. Apparently he even maintained enough of his faculties to keep his head firmly in the fight, which was always nice. Too bad he was so damn obvious about it. Even if Hiro's quirk hadn't told him that some of the metal had made it to his fist, the fact that the kid announced his attack with a shout made it practically impossible to miss. Whatever the hell this stuff was though, it was apparently liquid in its natural state, which meant...
He had a plan.
With the metal quickly creeping up his arm, Hiro didn't even break his stance, simply taking in a deep breath and focusing on the unique signature of the material. Just as the mercury was about to reach his face, he sent out a single strong pulse, and in an instant all of substance within five feet of him turned to vapor. The assumption was that dispersing the metal would rob the hero student's attacks of all their potency, but that unfortunately wasn't the end of the story. The instant expansion to gas from so much material made a wave of pressure wash over the alley with an audible crack, funneled in the narrow confines to create an effect akin to a small concussive explosion. Before he could even realize what he'd done, Hiro felt himself flying backwards, sailing past the three disabled delinquents and slamming into a pile of cardboard boxes.
For a few long moments his entire world was spinning, the pressure messing with his inner ear almost the same way that a flashbang would and robbing him of his balance. In short, it felt absolutely awful, and he kind of felt like was was gonna hurl. The kid had always been built pretty tough though, and after a minute the effect began to subside. When he finally found his arms and legs, he clumsily pulled himself from the heap and staggered back to his feet in spite of the dull aches that suddenly wracked his body. Now, obviously that hadn't gone as planned, but at least it was exciting, right? That's what he told himself at least as he rubbed the back of his head and worked his jaw to try and pop his ears. The trio of scumbag students had been tossed back slightly as well, and if they hadn't been unconscious before, they certainly were now. Question was, how had the Hero boy fared? With shaky steps, the street rat ventured forward to find out.

The explosion was something that also took Kogami off guard. It was his quirk, but he didn't think that people could just manipulate his quirk like that without his will. He wondered if the control he had over its states paid a huge role in what they could do with the states he could manipulate? Then again, contemplating such an explosion while being exposed to it wasn't the best of times, even if it made everything seem slowed to a standstill.
"....."
This time it was wordless, only replaced with the simple desire of wanting to be protected from the wreckage and the blast itself. Kogami did fly back, not being able to root himself to the ground with anything due to the explosion he didn't see coming. However, his mercury did cover his body and harden around him to solidify the young hero in a shell casing of some kind. With the impact that came with Kogami hitting the cement wall and pavement, it was powerful enough to leave a small dent, but it did manage to protect Kogami to a certain degree.
"Damn it! That guy...."
That explosion was dangerous, there was actually a thought in his head where Kogami may have misjudged the difference in skill and was severely outmatched. However, there was also the case that those kids, as much as they were idiots, the idea of surrendering no longer becomes optional when they are unable to stand. Some villains, or maybe, even other heroes, in general, don't understand that concept.
"I'm....not done yet..."
Kogami's wobbly legs, somewhat still shell shocked with the blast, walked towards where his opponent may have gone.
"Oh, so you're approaching me huh? Unfortunately for you, you stole my trick, so I stole yours. "
Even though Kogami was just as damaged, or even a little more, he had no intention of giving up. "It" would kick in soon, and then things would be a little more even for him. Deciding to go on the offensive once more, Kogami created a 20-foot spread of small hardened mercury pellets to blast in Hiro's direction, even as an attempt to hit him even once.

Oh, so Mr. Angry was still standing. Well that was good, Hiro had actually been worried about that for a moment considering how much of the explosion he had to have taken. Speaking of which, fuck turning metal to gas. Knowing how his quirk worked, it was always something that he knew he could do, but liquid metals were something in rather short supply in the every day, so he'd only had very brief experiments with that particular area. Good to know now that it was apparently a surefire way to get himself killed when utilized on the larger scale. I mean, maybe he could figure out how to make use of it properly if he had more of a chance to practice, but for the moment it really seemed like the better option was to--wait a minute what was that guy saying now?
Hiro blinked out of his self-inflicted daze just in time to see a wall of tiny metal projectiles form and launch down the alleyway. God, if he could still talk there would definitely be an expletive or two right now, but alas... With his balance still disrupted, the boy half dove, half stumbled to the side, crashing into the wall behind the cover the trashcan he'd appropriated the lid from earlier, but not without taking a hit from one or two of the projectiles. Luckily the armor on his arms took the hit without much of an issue and he used his quirk to make sure they stayed solid and didn't stick to him, but it'd probably hurt like a bitch if one caught him in the face... Actually, that was a good point. Amid the torrent of pellets Hiro glanced back toward the trio of delinquents, which were now in the line of fire. He quickly upturned his trashcan and then kicked the pair of trash bags that came out to the other side of the alley, providing some cover for the unconscious forms. No sense beating someone that's already out cold, nothing for them to learn from that either.
Now, what to do about the irate hero student? He had a few options when it came to ranged attacks, but getting up close and personal was way more his style, so that was the first priority. After that, well.... he'd just figure it out as he went. Bracing his shoulder, Hiro lifted the trashcan upright again and then broke out into the center of the alley again. Using the can as a shield, he rushed forward against onslaught of mercury. A cacophony of noise immediately filled the passage as metal pounded against metal, the street urchin charging forth as quickly as his strength would allow him. Just as he was about to enter proper brawling range, Hiro sent a pulse through the trashcan itself, turning the vessel from a makeshift shield into makeshift armor as he stepped through the liquefied metal and allowed it to re-solidify around his body. Not the sturdiest of metals, nor the most pleasant of smells, but he figured it would have to do the job, as he combined his momentum with the sudden increase of weight to drop into a slide tackle and try to take his opponent's legs out from under him. Hit or miss, he'd flip up from his slide on the other side of the hero and immediately get to swinging, throwing a metal-augmented punch to try to catch the kid in the diaphragm.
