Tsubasa is a sun-kissed, bespectacled girl with disheveled dark locs. Freckles adorn rosy cheeks and her signature expression is a confident smirk. Because of heavy physical training, her body is slightly more chiseled than the average girl her age. She's has androgynous fashion expression, and is often mistaken for male because of her boyish style and less-than-busty physique.

Tsubasa is generally good-natured and upbeat. Her easygoing nature has a soothing effect on others. Regardless of being mistreated by peers, she never let it damper her positive outlook on life. Loyalty is something Tsubasa heavily values; and she's a team player, although quick to assume leadership. Having lived in America for six years of her life, she’s quite “American” with her way of speech – often speaking in relaxed slang, sometimes comically so.

Growing up was relatively normal for Tsubasa; except for the fact that she’s the daughter of the former notorious villain Ito Ichigo! Her father was a cutthroat goon in the Japanese underground crime syndicate Kurutta 88. The now-disbanded Kurutta 88 grew notoriety 15-20 years ago, specializing in weapon trafficking. Turning to a life of crime very early in life as a teenager, Ichigo soon grew in rank and continued criminal activity into adulthood. Even though he had a strict code of not killing innocents; the man murdered a lot of people and at one point was one of the most wanted villains of his time by the hands of the government.
It wasn’t until he met Tsubasa’s mother on a business trip in America and fell in love, that he decided to give up his life of crime. Before Kurutta 88 disbanded years ago, there was a massive bust in the criminal operation by law enforcement and pro heroes. Ichigo was pardoned by the government in exchange for aiding their endeavor to dismantle the entire organization.
Yumiko Ito, Tsubasa's mother, has a quirk that allows her to control small plants and understand their feelings. Her father’s quirk granted him impenetrable skin. Tsubasa first discovered her quirk around the age of three years old after accidentally forming book pages into a floating origami dragon. The fact that her quirk manifested so early in life excited her parents, so much that quick training started at age ten.
Ichigo lives as a law-abiding citizen that teaches aikido in his family-owned dojo, still under government scrutiny. Yumiko works at a local flower shop. A rather poor family, they mostly scrape by and the dojo is the main source of income.
Although Ichigo never stated it, he always feared retaliation from people he’s crossed in his crime days; and that’s why he took it upon himself to mold Tsubasa into a formidable warrior, to be able to protect the family if anything was to happen to him. Living on the straight and narrow didn’t negate his passion for the art of combat.
Tsubasa didn’t grow up in a household that idolized pro heroes, and so she didn’t have the same obsession as most children. Even so, one nightmarish event inspired her to want to learn about heroes and even become one herself.. One day, a villainous behemoth roamed city streets, leaving a trail of destruction and havoc. When cornered by pro heroes, he grabbed eleven-year-old Tsubasa, using her as a hostage and body shield to evade capture. Her parents were nowhere to be found in the cloud of smoke and rubble; she was alone, paralyzed with fear. The nightmare continued for minutes until the heroes managed to come up with a plan to stun the criminal and rescue Tsubasa without harming her.
That event both traumatized and lit a fire in Tsubasa, and she realized she never wanted to be that powerless again. It gave new significance to the mental and physical training she underwent with her father. She wanted to be just as powerful as any villain in order to protect the weak just like she had been protected. Her pro hero goal is to change the hearts of as many villains as she can - to make them understand that they can live in harmony with normal society without committing crimes and harming others.
Early school years weren’t the easiest for Tsubasa as she was often rejected by classmates because of rumors surrounding her family's history. It was commonly said that she was raised by villains and would become one herself. That treatment made Tsubasa withdrawn and shy, until she finally gathered the courage to defend herself against a schoolhouse bully, beating him in a battle of fisticuffs for the entire school to see. That was when everything turned around for Tsubasa. Soon after that she came out of her shy shell, and of her peers warmed up to her, catapulting Tsubasa into the realm of popularity. That popularity didn’t necessarily negate whispered rumors, but she managed to acquire valuable friendships her last year of middle school.
Presently, Tsubasa attends U.A as a second year and has grown since first-year enrollment. Her goal is to become a Pro Hero to bring honor to the family name and rid the world of villains! She wants to shed positive light on her family and be perceived as more than just an ex-bad guy’s daughter but a protector of all and testament that all people can change!

Because Tsubasa's relies on hand-to-hand martial arts, she does not like bulky super-suits that will slow her down. She wears a long, zipped dark burgundy overcoat with a high collar. Underneath is an dark, long-sleeved body suit with enhanced with lightweight chest plates and knee guards. The shirt is neatly tucked into slim fitted dark pants that fall into lightweight combat boots. Underneath armor and clothes, her hands, fore-arms and calves are wrapped in fighting bandage for optimal performance. At her waist is a utility belt that carries important items such as first aid and card decks. She does not believe in hiding her identity; although she isn't masked, she does wear prescriptive googles to protect her eyes and crystal clear vision.

SUMMARY:
Tsubasa can telekinetically control paper and paper-like substances (ie, parchment, papyrus) by animating it at will if focused. This quirk can be used both offensively and defensively because she can alter its density and sharpness. She can make paper as piercing as a knife and harden it as tough of steel for at least 4 consecutive turns. The ability is only as powerful as the distance from whatever she’s controlling; meaning the strength of telekinetic projectile attacks diminish beyond thirty-five feet. Currently, Tsubasa's limited to control up paper to forty-five feet away, up to one-hundred pounds. Her control will falter if she attempts to stretch her quirk beyond her limits. However, these parameters will expand with continued training.
Defensive Applications: Tsubasa can enhance cards to gain defensive properties similar to steel. Cards can be hardened to absorb close range shots from a small, 22 caliber handguns, blade edges, and melee blows. However, an onslaught of attacks may prove to be a handful as they will quickly eat through at the paper after enough strikes. Requiring at least 40 cards, upgraded defenses such as shields can be formed, sturdy enough to withstand powerful melee blows even the strongest of C-level quirk users. Small energy blasts can be absorbed at least two turns before dissipating. Currently she can mold these items: medium to large-sized diamond-shaped paper shield (15-30 cards),

WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Even though the paper can be hardened as tough as steel, it’s still vulnerable to elemental attacks! The paper creations cannot withstand water and fire attacks for too long without breaking down unless a special type of paper is used. Currently, even with the densest material, creations can only withstand elemental attacks for 2 posts before breaking down. Tsubasa must have a clear head to use her ability, and she tends to have trouble controlling her quirk when stressed.

Tsubasa currently practices Aikido under her father’s tutelage. Aikido is a martial art and self-defense system that utilizes twisting and throwing techniques while aiming to turn an attacker’s strength and momentum against himself. Pressure on vital nerve centers is also used. Aikido practitioners train to subdue, rather than maim or kill, but many of its movements can nevertheless be deadly. Aikido especially emphasizes the importance of achieving complete mental calm and control of one’s own body to master an opponent’s attack.
