Fu was dressed in her blue kimono. It was her favourite kimono of the bunch that she owned. It had stars and seals on them, her two favourite things. The colour of the seals matched with her eyes. It was a gift from her mother after she graduated from Middle School. This was before Fu decided to attend U.A. It was kind of ironic if she thought about it. It was a gift for her finishing one school and moving on to another school. Now she was on the cusp of changing schools again and moving home. It was a bizarre occurrence. There was this short period of time she wanted to be a hero. This period started as soon as her parents got injured and it ended as soon as she got into 1-A classes. As soon as she was put through the stress of hero classes, she wanted to quit. She should have listened to her brother all along.
There were implications with what she did. After transferring to general studies, she received an an email from her former teacher that she was not welcome in the 1-A dorm wing but she was not able to remove the girl as there were no vacancies in general study dorms. That and that most general study students did not sleep in dorms. Most of them went home as they were local. She could feel her old sensei wanted to force her out but could not due to her not being in her class anymore. Regardless, this was not today's activity.
Today Fu was going to dinner to a nice restaurant in town. She was meeting her brother for dinner and a chat. It was a sushi place that an acquaintance from her new class suggested. Looking it up and doing some research, she invited her brother for a chat. She knew he was going to be busy this school year, especially with the prospects of him becoming a hero. She told him to pick him up at a park bench in town, telling him that she wanted to talk.
Watching the birds that were lazing around in the park, she scanned her phone as she waited for her brother.

Oh man.
Ryuu was late. It wasn't his usual M.O. but being that extra work had recently been dumped upon both him and Mika at the office, even someone as diligent as he was could only do his best to keep up. As to why the extra menial work had been tasked to them was because of an incident the two had been involved in. Or rather the lack of the details of said incident. Several bandages still littered his face but given the state of what it had been before it was definitely quite the improvement. The wounds he had sustained in both his shoulders had healed up rather nicely however, courtesy of Mika. Dressed in one of the many suits he owned, Ryuusei's attire would likely clash with what his little sister had chosen to wore. Yet there was no helping it. He was already late and rather than making the young girl wait any longer than she had to, he thought it would be better if he just hurried as best as he could. Seeing the bench upon which the girl sat, Ryuusei was glad to see that the girl looked well. Approaching her promptly, Ryuusei walked up to her with a casual stride and familial smile. "Hey sis. I apologize for the delay. Work's sort of been a bit more of a bother lately." He said as a bit of his exhaustion began to seep into his eyes. The moment however would only last a second as he quickly brightened up and changed the subject. "So what's this place called again?" He said as he extended a hand out towards the girl to help her up off the bench and so that she could start to lead the way. "It's a sushi place right? It's been awhile since I've had that." He said optimistically as he began to look forward to their meal. "It's close by right?"

Hearing her brothers voice, she got up from the bench. Smiling at him, she gave him a slight hug before looking him over. He had looked worse but he also had looked better. Wondering where the bandages came from, Fu decided that she would asks about them later. She was more concerned of making their reservation. "It's called Chizawa. I made a reservation earlier today so we have a table." Giving him a warm smile, she grabbed his hand and started walking towards the restaurant. It was not super far away from where she waited for her brother which was convenient.
Holding on to her brother's arm, she guided him to the restaurant. She missed her brother during the school year. Even though it just began, she missed seeing him. He had been so busy with internships and had little time for her. She understands that he is soon going to be an adult but she missed him. When they got to the restaurant, Fu stepped up to the little welcome area. Bowing at the lady, she gave her name for the reservation. The woman nodded, gesturing for the two of them to follow.
It was a very nice looking restaurant. It seemed to be decorated in a style of a Shinto palace. After being seated, they were informed that their chef will be out in a few minutes. Looking over at Ryuu, she simply muttered "I quit hero studies...and I want to go home but I feel like I disappointed everyone around me." It was the most honest she had been with her brother in a while.

"Oh? Chiwaza?" Ryuusei echoed as he searched his memory banks for the place. The name seemed vaguely familiar...but he was almost one hundred percent sure that was due to Mika blabbering on about this and that and places he wanted to drag Ryuusei to. Naturally, Ryuusei declined all his invitations not out of dislike for them, but rather because he already spent more than enough time to the hyperactive medic. In any case, he couldn't think of better place the two of them could go. He loved Sushi so it made him wonder if Fu had picked the restaurant partially out of consideration for him. Just the mere thought of this warmed him to the core. She really was a sweet girl. "Well then allow me to apologize for potentially making us late." Ryuusei added towards the second part of her statement.
"I'll definitely have to make it up you." He tacked on teasingly as he watched the girl move to grab his hand. Unbelievably, he had made his little sister wait for him. How in the world could he do such a thing!? It was practically a mortal sin. Even if he had work, that was something that paled in comparison to the value he placed on his family. It was partially why he had been against his sister coming to U.A. in the first place. Prior to her arrival he had constantly tried to talk her out of it. Not because he didn't think she couldn't do it. On the contrary, with both her quirk and tenacity, he knew she would be more than up for the challenge. Because after all. Who knew her better than him? Getting to the restaurant was a shorter walk than Ryuusei imagined and as they stepped in, Ryuusei was honestly impressed. Again, he was sure that Mika hyped this place up and all, but he would never admit that to the man that he actually had been spot on this time. The Host at the front of the place greeted the pair with a bright smile. Upon getting their name the two were quickly whisked off towards their table and instantly seated with both a full set of silverware and a fresh glass of water. Menus had been quickly delivered to them with the assurance that their waiter would be with them shortly. Ryuusei bowed his head towards the Host who had helped them before opening up his menu and skimming it's contents. Before even making it halfway down the page however, the words that hit the man's ears caused him to freeze. Slowly lowering his menu as he gazed at the girl who sat across him, Ryuu raised a brow. Say what now?
Is what he wanted to say.
But that wasn't who he was.
And it wasn't who Fu's brother was. Processing the girl's expression, despondent body language, and the tone of voice she had used, Ryuusei could feel the weight of her words. He could say a multitude of things in this situation but...talk was cheap. Anyone could say anything to anyone. Especially when said words could just be spoken because it was 'appropriate'. No. With what the girl had just told him. This was far more serious than he had imagined. Her Hero Studies had been something she had constantly pushed herself in. Even when people who were fortunate enough to be born with powerful quirks, his sister still had tried her best to cope with the insane standards that had been set for her. She wasn't strong. She wasn't fast. But what she lacked in those departments...she made up in heart. Fu was the kind of girl who always tried her best. She was the kind of girl who always tried to smile regardless of how tough the going got. And so if she quit... Well then there was only one thing Ryuusei could do. Standing up from his seat, Ryuusei said not a single word as he moved to hug his little sister. He wouldn't tell her he told her so. Or even try to convince her that her choice had been right or wrong. That wasn't what one's family was supposed to do. Like he'd told her before, he was there for her. And right now he would do that very thing he had always told her that he would forever do. He would support her.

Back in Otaru, she missed Ryuusei. Not because she had barely any friends back home. She really did not need friends back home. She had her parents and her koto to entertain herself with. Fu, even now, preferred being alone. It was just something pleasant for her. Being with her own thoughts, thinking about ways to improve her music. What she missed, however, was the silent understanding of her brother. While he won't admit, they were a lot more alike than most people think. The issues they have with themselves were just two sides of the same coin. They could tell when they were in distress, even after being separated for a couple years. Granted he came home during the summers but she missed it.
Leaning into her brother, she closed her eyes for a bit. She needed the comfort of her big brother. She can't make this decision by herself. Ryuusei knows much better than her.
"Onii-chan is always right!" She always told herself when she was growing up in their hero family. He was her safeguard from the chaotic world around them. He could do no wrong. Just like their parents, Ryuusei was a hero, he just might not know it yet.
Pulling a bit away, she gave him a teary eyed look.
"Onii-chan...I miss home so much. I miss mum and dad. I miss waking up and eating breakfast with them but something in my heart tells that I belong here. What should I do?" Fu sighed, glancing over to the menu that was given to them.

Holding the girl in his arms, Ryuu lowered his eyes as he looked at her small form. Even though a restaurant wasn't really the time or the place for this, Ryuusei found that he didn't care. When faced with his sister troubled by various things, it almost felt like the world around them didn't exist. All that he cared about was being able to comfort the girl who seemed so conflicted right now. Pulling away from her as he felt that she wanted a small bit of space, Ryuusei glanced down at the girl as he saw a pair of eyes staring up at him with slight tears forming in the corners. Listening to her pour her heart at, Ryuusei wasn't quite sure what the right response here should've been. Instinctively, he would have almost always have gone with the whole 'follow your heart' shtick only because he felt the girl's heart almost could lead her to do no wrong. Yet the feeling that the girl presently exuded almost seemed as though she wanted his opinion on the matter. Had it been a matter of less import, Ryuusei would have flashed the girl a soft smile before ruffling her hair and telling her that she didn't have to think or worry that much about those kinds of things. He would have also added that regardless of what she chose to do, she should never consider it the 'wrong' choice because any choice she made could only be right. Yet like he said, that sort of answer didn't seem to be the kind she was looking for. Which was why Ryuu stood silent for a moment as he thought carefully about what to say. Closing his eyes and letting out a small sigh Ryuu thought carefully about what would have been best for the girl.
It took about five seconds for the man to think about what to say to the girl but once he had reached a conclusion he opened his eyes and cast the girl a small smile.
"Stay." He answered bluntly as he tried to say it in the most reassuring tone he could muster. "Mom and dad aren't going anywhere Fu. But this time in your life...your youth, your friends, the experiences here, well...this is just one small part of your life. You'll always be able to visit home and see the two of them, but if you leave now...."
"Well..." Ryuu said carefully as he gazed seriously down at his sister while he chose several very deliberate words. "You'll regret it for the rest of you life."

To say Fu was surprised was an understatement. When Fu first said that she wanted to be a hero, Ryuusei wanted to talk her out of it. He spent hours and days talking to her, even after Fu reaffirmed her wishes to him. It got a bit annoying but she knew that he meant well. He always knew what was good for her, even when he was gone at U.A. and they only communicated with him with letters. It was comforting to know someone who knew her so well. Futaba did guard herself a little from him. There were thoughts that were rather private to her and she rarely expressed, even when writing them down in her notebook. There was always that concern that Fu had with some things coming out that she rather not have revealed to other people, even her brother.
When he said that she should stay and that she would regret leaving, Fu was shocked. There is no way she could stay. She had a duty to her parents. After they got hurt, their abilities to live have been severely hampered with. Even with their quirk, Fu felt guilty ever since the train ride away from Otaru. The guilt of leaving them had been eating away for a bit.
Giving Ryuu a smile, showing that she appreciated the advise, she wanted to make it clear what she was going to say next. It might come off as throwing away her future but it had been in her mind for a bit.
"I r-really appreciate it, Onii-chan...but I feel so guilty for leaving them. I want to help them and it's been on my mind so much..." Fu paused for a bit, knowing well that the servers would not come unless they called them over.
"I know it would be silly for me to waste my youth for them but I know mum always wanted to open a bakery and I could help with that. I could help them run it while attending school...." Fu left her thought hanging, knowing to well her brother would have something to say any time soon.

Lowering his eyes as the girl spoke, Ryuusei contemplated how he should respond. The fact that the girl had chosen to take him to place she knew he would like made him wonder if he was going to be inconsiderate with his suggestion, but seeing as how the two were making a small scene in the place, it might have been the best course of action. Even though he had purposely skipped lunch because he figured he wanted to have an appetite while he was out with his little sister, he didn't think it to be a big deal considering she was experiencing some turmoil. Hence why he just decided to decide for her. Slowly trying to lift her from the chair as he tried to pull her towards him, Ryuusei moved in close to her ear as he whispered into the girl's ear something. "I think we should leave."
He would leave it at that simply before pulling back away from his sister and seeeing how she would react. Being that he didn't want to try and predict how she would respond, he would simply just wait and see how she would respond. Being that he wasn't sure if she was fine with calling attention to himself or not, Ryuusei didn't want to try and make things anymore awkward then they already were. He wanted to make things clear to the girl but aside from that he didn't want to cause her any more stress than necessary. She already seemed to be going through enough by his estimation and because of that he wanted to make things as easy as he possibly could for her.
"Well Fu-chan.....it's entirely up to you." Ryuu said simply as he allowed the girl to make her own choice. While allowing her the option to stay in place or allow her to lead him out.
"What do you want to do?" Ryuu asked as he glanced around the restaurant. "Do you wanna stay or leave?"
