Ah, proper time away from home had always felt so refreshing. Over the past several months Shian had been devising a plan. Little by little, he would burgle specific addresses, steal specific items poor or expensive. A few of these items fetched a huge price on the black market, and it allowed him to live normally for these past few weeks; there were a few times his 'master' of the house would arrive, which caused some troubles in the plans, but they weren't too big of a setback. Each one of these robberies were in specific orders; small mentions to pieces of various bibles. Starting with Timothy 6:10; For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. This explained Shian's need... no... love for money, and the acceptance of payment. Then Proverbs 18:15; an intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. This showed the sale of knowledge, or a friendly pursuit in it, followed by Proverbs 2:6. "For the lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."These words, Shian spoke aloud. The church was small, more like a chapel and she sat in the back lobby, thumbing through one of the many books stored there. "Words to live by." A man spoke from across the room, jotting down notes on a dated computer. It was his time to prepare the sermon next Sunday, and Shian was there to keep him company, and to assist with those coming for penance; none came. "I must thank you for keeping me company, Shian. There are few I have met as devout as you.""It's no bother." Shian's response was calm, emotionless. Next page. "I may be a devout follower, but I am in no position to worship on a weekly basis. It is the least I could do to help." A slight smile came from the changeling woman. This fool of a pastor had no idea that she had been taking her own piece of the pot when collecting, always making sure to stop at small amounts. After all, this was a heist that kept on giving so long as the pastor was unaware of her dealings. "Oh what I would do without you." The pastor looked over to Shian, noting that she was wearing the same outfit he had always seen her in; that of a proper nun. "Say, if you were to preach this next sunday, what topic would you choose?" A strange question, from a pastor to an assistant, but something Shian would have the perfect answer for. "Thievery." A simple response. "Only the most despicable of sinners would steal from another without remorse." A grimace came from the pastor; perhaps it was a bad response? "Not to say they are forever condemned... our lord is of forgiveness after all." Shian's cold, soulless eyes returned back to the book, from locking on to the pastor. A slight chuckle would follow, and the pastor powered off the old block of a monitor. "Well... that is enough for tonight I must say. Shian, I have places I must be. Could you... close up the chapel for me tonight?" He spoke as he began to leave, grabbing his cane to assist with the long walk ahead of him. In response, Shian met him at the door and offered to help the aged priest out of the chapel, but phased through his arm. "Sure, I can close up. Take care of yourself, ok?" The pastor nodded in response, and left the back room to walk across the chapel before leaving. Just as the pastor turned away however, Shian lashed out, passing through the chest of the man in a split second, before closing the door behind him; just as the door closed, Shian's form phased into that of the pastor himself. Among the large amounts of information given, it became obvious that whoever this Ego was could get in and out of places without being seen. Every eyewitness report claiming they were a man, a woman, bald, blonde hair... nothing ever seemed proper except for the three references in the bible based on the addresses of the places hit, all seperated by a large heist of a jewelry store; with their addresses showing a time. This time frame located itself to 9:00 PM, the time that which this chapel normally closes. Those of keen memory, or mind, would easily know the location to visit. Now having returned to his book he waited to see if anyone took the bait. Truely, whoever deciphered this complicated riddle would certainly be someone fun to work with, if not for.

[attr="class","aodmain"] Droll. So very droll. [break][break] That's the word of the day. A criminal who utilized religious texts in their crimes. It was not uncommon to utilize such droll tactics; often was it that a serial killer killed in the name of their professed lord and savior. To whomever that was; be it a religion or not, it mattered little to Ashiya. Why forsake knowledge to pledge loyalty to omnipotence, when omnipotence is the kind of Quirk the brunette man had? It held no logistical value to him. Why, the only value was to use charity to further his ends, but that was only if Haruhi played his game. [break][break] Droll was the word of the day, but this little game was still on. He attempted to piece the clues together, and found himself standing in front of a church, his cane held by his left hand. If a criminal utilized the concept of higher beings within their criminal agenda, it was clear they had a belief. Belief, however, was too easy to guess, but he had not enough clues to work with to suggest a contrary answer, so he would check here first. He didn't head to churches, but his organization made donations every now and then, so Moriarty Intel was at least well known. Though, seeing the red-suited man himself? That was nigh impossible, save for today. [break][break] Because today, he had a game to unravel. [break][break] A check of the watch said about 9:08 PM. If the clues led him to this place for a reason he liked, perhaps he would be here until 10:08 PM. However, if it was an ambush, his revolver was ready, loaded in his suit jacket and ready to fire into the chest of an assailant who waited for their prey, unknowing that their prey was the one hunting them for the answers to the questions he had. [break][break] Entering the chapel by the unlocked front door, the one he knew the closing time of, the red-suited man would look about the church, looking a little inquisitively to and fro. It looked like an obvious church, with a lone pastor inside. Did the church not yet close? No, that impossible. The pastor was typically on time. That furthered the mystery, an oddity for the brunette male's mind, surely. No, this was an odd night indeed, but he stayed at arm's length. A man of the lord to be a messenger? [break][break] Droll. "Father?" he tapped his cane to the floor of the church, a bright smile on the man's face. A facade that hid something far more sinister. [attr="class","addy"] addy

[attr="class","shianmain"] It had been a few hours since Pastor Eomund had left the chapel; exactly 8:00 PM as marked by Shian's 'trap.' Shian still retained Eomund's identity as he wandered around the chapel, re-arranging books in their proper order before hearing the sound of the front door swing open with its familiar creaking sound; as it did so, Shian's lips widened in a sickening smile. Leaving behind what he was doing, he turned and began walking toward the main hall, stretching with excessive amounts of animation before imitating a similar limp that the old man had, making sure to rest his right hand on any object nearby for additional support.[break][break] A question came from a man in the hall; one that was both a statement, and a question, from a voice that was very unfamiliar to Shian. He had personally talked to many of the visitors to the chapel, so either this one a new man here to convert or someone that fell for his bait. Answering, he opened his lips in response, and the Pastor's voice boomed out from the end of the hall.[break][break] "Greetings my child." The same speech pattern and accent that the Pastor had was emulated to near perfection. "What brings you to the house of the lord this afternoon?" Stepping into the main room as he spoke, he continued travelling towards the red-suited man, still keeping the slight limp with his right hand rested on the pews to assist with walking. It didn't seem perfectly natural, and it seemed to be something new that the 'pastor' was trying to get used to; normally he would have had a cane to walk with and it would have seemed more natural, but it was easier for Shian to act out having recently lost his cane as the reason why he was so unused to walking without it.[break][break] As Shian stepped closer, he paused several feet away from the visitor, eyes subtly scanning the visitor for even the smallest sets of movements that one obtains through daily life; each man puts on an act for those around them, but people always forget to hide the most minor parts of someone's personality in their motions; this was something that Shian had studied the pastor to master, and even the subtlest movements of each finger, to shifting his weight, to even raising and lowering of his own brow were an act to imitate the pastor. With a wide, warm smile, he would wait for the visitor to explain their side of the story; and just like the visitor, this smile hid something far more sinister behind it.[break][break] Little did Shian know, that this encounter could become a psychological battle as both try to discern the truth from the other's words; A battle of spies as one could call it.[break][break][break] [attr="class","addy"] addy[break] [newclass=".shianov"] margin: 0px auto; padding: 5px; border: 1px solid #ddd; background-color: #fcfcfc; width: 500px [/newclass] [newclass=".shianmtop"] background-color: #2c2c2c; padding: 20px; text-align: center; color: #be00a0; font-family: Geneva; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtop1"] height: 250px; width: 500px; overflow: hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtop"] height: 250px; width: 400px; background:rgba(0,0,0,0.6); border-right: 1px solid white; position: relative; top: 50%; transform: translateY(-50%); display: flex; flex-direction: column; justify-content: center; margin-left: -300px; transition: 0.5s; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianicon"] float: right; margin-left: auto; height: 65px; width: 65px; background-color: #fdfdfd; border: 5px solid #fdfdfd; transform: rotate(-45deg); margin-right: -38px; overflow: hidden; display: inline-block; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianicon img"] height: 100px; transform: rotate(45deg); margin-left:-17px; margin-top: -15px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtext"] font-size: 9px; color: white; display: inline-block; width: 250px; font-family: Open Sans; text-transform: uppercase; margin-bottom: -38px; margin-left: 100px; opacity: 0; transition: 0.3s; border-bottom: 1px solid #fdfdfd; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtext a"] color: #BF9D3E; font-family: Open Sans; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianov:hover .shianimgtop"]margin-left:0px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianov:hover .shianimgtext"]opacity: 1; transition: 0.3s 0.2s; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianmain1"] padding: 40px; background-color: white; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianquote"] padding: 10px 40px 0px 40px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1; font-family: Libre Baskerville; margin-bottom: 40px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianquote div"] color: #be00a0; font-size: 50px; float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: -10px; font-family: Open Sans; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianmain"] font-family: Open Sans; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; [/newclass] [newclass=".addy"] font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px; letter-spacing: -1px; text-align:right; width:510px; margin:0px auto; [/newclass]

[attr="class","aodmain"] When the pastor's eyes came to Ashiya's own, the red-suited man was immediately on his guard, but he didn't seem to move at all. Quite the contrary, if one didn't look deeper into body language, they might think Ashiya had no clue. But the fact that this cane-less pastor walked with a limp so unnaturally, begging to have a cane had Ashiya on edge immediately. It was not difficult to have a cane. To find a cane. To own a cane. To ask for help to procure one. [break][break] The speech pattern seemed natural enough, which served to complicate the matter. A normal so-called pastor to a normal so-called passerby. But this little game of cat and mouse was met with some resistance, as Ashiya took a step back before the pastor would pause. Only one woman could ever be his equal. But this pastor... was he even an equal? Was he even a player of this massive game? Ashiya couldn't be sure, but here were the facts. [break][break] Number One: His movements were unorthodox, and complicated. Part of Ashiya wished to stay they were acted. But, they felt too real to really say that. This had little merit besides conjecture to dive into. Thus, he disregarded it for now. [break][break] Number Two: His step back would immediately send the pastor's mind racing, if he were the one these crimes were committed by to meticulously and so mundanely utilize religious text within his crimes. If he was such an intellectual to do it more than just a cliche, that would set the cogs in his brain running. Why step away? Was he afraid of danger, or did he just prefer a bit more personal space? In truth, he moved back to force the pastor to think. [break][break] Number Three: It was past 8:00 PM, meaning that midday was over. It was more common to greet someone else with a good evening past the times of 6:00 PM, was it not? Even if, Ashiya wasn't sure how to think on the matter. Perhaps the priest lost track of time? It had been rather late, and it was only just closing time. Still... [break][break] Their game of the mind began, speed chess played at a thousand moves a minute, neither side faulting. "It is night, Father. Yet your doors are still open." his gaze turned back towards the door, and back to the pastor when he smiled again. "Though, if you do have some time still, I was hoping we might have a confession? I find even upon nights like these, the demons have taken me for sin." a fabrication, but a normal one to hear within the churches. [break][break] This was good for one reason. It meant that he would get the pastor where he wanted. To not see the person on the other side, Ashiya was making a gamble. If this was a real pastor, he might clear his conscience. If it wasn't, he could see who this pastor really was. Of course, the choice of refusing him was always there. But if he were being honest... [break][break] Would the church turn away someone burdened by such fabricated sin? [attr="class","addy"] addy

[attr="class","shianmain"] As the visitor took a quick step back, the pastor's lips curled at the ends as if sneering for mere moments before continuing the act; these were minor hints at the larger game that Shian hoped the visitor would pick up, with the signs of them stepping back showing that they might indeed, be the one to fall for the bait as Shian so kindly laid out. His guest seemed to catch on the lateness of the day, a small mishap in Shian's acting that could lead to troubles if he didn't plug the hole; the visitor was even so kind as to request a confession. Perfect, this was what he wanted after all; it was easier to talk behind closed doors rather than simply act like the man he wasn't. He didn't want to put too much blame on the Pastor however, as this job was stable, so he had to act quickly and quietly.[break][break] Bringing up his left hand, he pinched his brow, showing that he might have had a headache or something similar, words poured from the Pastor's lips. "Oh, how the time flies..." Smiling once more with the same warm sinister smile, he met his visitor's bright blue eyes. "The doors of the Lord are open to all who require aid." A slight chuckle followed. "Sure, I have time for one last confession of the day. If you don't mind..." He began walking towards the man in red again but turned to walk around him to the door, making sure it is closed, before flicking a few switches on the door. These were locks, plain and simple, and it only barred entry from the outside which would prevent any unwanted intruders. "There. It always pains me to turn away those in need, but alas we are all human." He'd turn around, the radiant smile still intact. "Now then my child, see yourself to the confession booth over there." He pointed toward a small stall-like object pressed evenly against the wall. "I will be with you shortly." After these words, Shian limped back to the back room, before closing the door behind them.[break][break] The confession booth was tall, well over 8 feet and appeared quite wide. It was well carved with catholic symbology throughout making it appear like a small church steeple. Inside the booth was lined in velvet that was very well taken care of, and a single window that offered a slight view into the duplicate room on the other side of the wall. It was often easier to confess your sins when you couldn't see the other person; that was the goal of such rooms. A wicker cover was loosely placed over the window, and below a small opening that looked as though it would be able to fit a hand. As for the single piece of furniture in the room it was a simple heightened stool, allowing one to sit down without reducing one's own height. The slit below appeared to be closed at this point in time by a single piece of wood, but it appeared as though it could be slid to the side to allow small objects to enter.[break][break] [attr="class","addy"] addy[break] [newclass=".shianov"] margin: 0px auto; padding: 5px; border: 1px solid #ddd; background-color: #fcfcfc; width: 500px [/newclass] [newclass=".shianmtop"] background-color: #2c2c2c; padding: 20px; text-align: center; color: #be00a0; font-family: Geneva; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtop1"] height: 250px; width: 500px; overflow: hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtop"] height: 250px; width: 400px; background:rgba(0,0,0,0.6); border-right: 1px solid white; position: relative; top: 50%; transform: translateY(-50%); display: flex; flex-direction: column; justify-content: center; margin-left: -300px; transition: 0.5s; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianicon"] float: right; margin-left: auto; height: 65px; width: 65px; background-color: #fdfdfd; border: 5px solid #fdfdfd; transform: rotate(-45deg); margin-right: -38px; overflow: hidden; display: inline-block; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianicon img"] height: 100px; transform: rotate(45deg); margin-left:-17px; margin-top: -15px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtext"] font-size: 9px; color: white; display: inline-block; width: 250px; font-family: Open Sans; text-transform: uppercase; margin-bottom: -38px; margin-left: 100px; opacity: 0; transition: 0.3s; border-bottom: 1px solid #fdfdfd; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianimgtext a"] color: #BF9D3E; font-family: Open Sans; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianov:hover .shianimgtop"]margin-left:0px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianov:hover .shianimgtext"]opacity: 1; transition: 0.3s 0.2s; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianmain1"] padding: 40px; background-color: white; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianquote"] padding: 10px 40px 0px 40px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1; font-family: Libre Baskerville; margin-bottom: 40px; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianquote div"] color: #be00a0; font-size: 50px; float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: -10px; font-family: Open Sans; [/newclass] [newclass=".shianmain"] font-family: Open Sans; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; [/newclass] [newclass=".addy"] font-size: 9px; line-height: 10px; letter-spacing: -1px; text-align:right; width:510px; margin:0px auto; [/newclass]
