Some days are just lazy days, and others are simply busy days, but then with Tsubame there were days where she wasn't sure which day it was. The weeks seemed to melt together after the summer break. Walking with her pack of snacks around her waist in her usual hip bag, she reached for a sandwich she had made that morning. She wore her usual business casual clothing which consisted of a purple long sleeved v-neck shirt and her nice dress slacks that allowed her easy movement and yet was within the parameters that she was told was dress code for someone of her rank. While she didin't mind such clothes, she would rather dress as comfortably as possible since she wasn't used to such tight clothing. The shinobi training uniform she used to wear was much better than this garb she had to wear. However, due to her quirk, she was able to still carry her hip pack to carry her snacks in with her. If she was in a good mood, she'd share her bounty with students or other teachers. She knew she had a busy day today, but she couldn't remember what she had to do exactly. As if on cue, and as if Tsubame's lazy attitude was showing, a sharp meow was heard by her. Looking down, Tsubame noticed Kuro, her black cat, walking beside her. "Yeah yeah, Kuro, I know I gotta work, but you could at least be a little sympathetic." Tsubame sighed and spoke out loud in French rather than Japanese. Kuro could understand both of her master's tongues and simply flicks her tail at Tsubame in response. "Such a silly kitty, ya know if Walter were here he would agree with me." Kuro just stops to look at Tsubame with a blank look. Tsubame stops to sigh and then rub the back of her neck. "Yeah, no, he would get me to try and sit in my office to get my paperwork done." They both continued on in silence for a while longer while Tsubame just kept watch around them. Since she had forgotten what she was going to do today, she decided a walk would help clear her head and maybe bring back that foggy memory. Perhaps she'd have a run in with fate or destiny? Or maybe she'll have a run-in with a pastry at the coffee cart. Things can happen today. Biting into her sandwich again made her stomach grumble. She had skipped a full breakfast this morning due to her trying to hurry up with her morning duties so that she could walk around the school to bring back her memory. Kuro meowed at Tsubame with annoyance, making the woman tear off a piece of sandwich and drop it down to her companion. She found a nice tree to stand under and lean while she ate the rest of her sandwich. As soon as finished the first one, she reached into her hip pack again to pull out yet another sandwich. She was never without a snack and man does her body take a lot to keep her going. Kuro had jumped up to the rock next to the tree and curled up to sleep. What a day.

Target Acquired. Vivid blue eyes peering through a pair of hand made binoculars, Riku's blue orbs began to sparkle as his eyes began to rapidly dart around in all directions. From the trees, to the cat, to the lady, to the sky and then back down to the lady, Riku quickly brought down his 'high-tech' equipment as he began to narrow his sights at the lady. It had been a long time coming...but he had finally found her. But that hadn't been all. There wasn't another single soul in sight! Which meant one quite obvious thing. SHE WAS ALONE! BWHAHAHA! Now now. That laugh and statement might have sounded ominous but I promise you that Riku had nothing but good intentions in both his heart and mind. Which was why his face presently looked like this as he peered at the lady from afar. See? Would someone with a smile that pure have any bad intentions!? ... .. . Of course not!~ Anywho! With the area fully scoped out, Riku who had been dressed in his classic U.A. uniform had a nice little hoodie over top of it due to the weather still being just a tad nippy. He could have one hundred percent gone without, but Riku being the guy that he was loved being completely comfortable! Yet his own personal comfort was the farthest thing from his mind as he quickly pulled the garment off from his body and quickly fashioned it into a makeshift ninja mask. Being that the thing was rather bulky it didn't look as good as it probably should have but that didn't matter! It was not the look that mattered after all when one thought about it! It was the heart behind it!!! And Riku's heart was obviously both pure and innocent right? Right! With his attire now set, Riku was now prepared. Breaking out into a sprint towards the woman with his arms flailing wildly behind him in a classic ninja running fashion, Riku was fully committed to the act. It probably looked ridiculous from a distance but from Riku's perspective he probably couldn't have looked cooler even if he had tried! He didn't try to hide his presence as he neared the woman and once he got a few feet away from her, he would quickly do a rather bad cartwheel before executing a small roll on the grass as a display of his athletic prowess. Once out of the roll he'd quickly assume a kneeling position in front of the woman before bowing his masked head and presenting his hands out in front of himself in the proper respectful fashion. "Sensei!""I have traveled rather far across this land and have come to seek your guidance in the ways of the ninja!" Riku said with a serious voice that probably didn't suit him considering his attire. With bits of grass scattered on his body and a pretty sloppily done grey ninja mask wrapped around his face, Riku probably needed to go take a shower! But clothing aside, the one thing that seemed quite sharp were his crystal clear sapphire eyes. They were the eyes of a man who was ready to learn! A man who was ready to grow! A man who was fully ready...
TO BECOME A FREAKING NINJA!

There she was, eating her sandwich while keeping herself occupied by talking back to her cat who just meowed at her incessantly due to her being lazy and not sharing said sandwich. Tsubame had made sure to at least keep four in her hip pack so she could eat when she wanted. To be honest, it was almost every hour that she had a snack. It was her quirk that kept the weight off of her. Her quirk was both a blessing and a curse. Were it not for her parents teaching her how to fight, she probably would be having a worse time of it keeping her quirk in check. There had to be a flow of energy constantly. Some thought it strange she ate so much, but then there were others that thought it was just her normal. Her thoughts drifted from the thing she had forgotten to what she wanted for dinner later tonight and whether she should go find Walter later. A chill ran down her spine as she took another bite of her third sandwich. Was someone talking about her? Dancing on her grave? Was the candy dish in her office being emptied by the mysterious force that usually comes between four and six? She wasn't sure, but she went to reach for her phone just in case she got a text from her dad, he had a sixth sense about these sorts of things. Trained in the ways of shinobi, Tsubame was really bad at mysterious intuitions unfortunately. "Why do I feel like i'm going to see something weird?" A flow of French spilled out as she looked down at Kuro, who just looked at her like she was an idiot, though it was really just starting intently at the sandwich in her hand. "You are supposed to be my familiar, why are you only thinking about your stomach?" Tsubame scolded her cat while taking another bite of her food. Of course it was only her cat who was thinking of her stomach...and not the lady dedicated to packing several lunches in her hip pack daily. Her talking to Kuro was distracting her from the flailing form of a kid coming up on her fast. It wasn't until the kid got closer that her conversation with her cat got cut short as she noticed a human form tumbling and flailing towards her before coming to a stop in front of her sitting politely and respectfully. The sandwich she was eating hung in her mouth as she backed away a bit in surprise. "A-Ah, hello?" She still spoke in French, but upon remembering that she was in Japan, she made sure to speak again in Japanese. "Are you...okay?" She spoke in Japanese rather unsure. Tsubame blinked confusedly since the boy seemed to be a bit ragged from his stunts. She had to admit, this boy did amuse her so far. Anyone who was willing to do all that just to ask for her to teach them the ways of the shinobi had to be worth teaching, right? She looked into his eyes and saw such conviction, a sort of fire if you will. Chuckling, Tsubame crossed her arms as she tapped her sandwich against her upper arm. Perhaps teaching a student the art of the shinobi would be worth it at U.A. She hadn't thought of it before, but now that this boy made things interesting, she was sure it would be worth it. It wasn't a secret she kept. The school and the general public knew of her skills as a shinobi, though they weren't sure where exactly they trained. From time to time she went to the mountains to train, but most of the time it was at her family shrine in Tokyo. Since becoming the Vice Headmaster, she hadn't had anyone approach her about it until now. Since the situation amused her, she decided to go along with it. "Do you think you have what it takes, young man?"

Eyes slowly widening as he saw the woman turn her gaze upon him, Riku knew at this point in time that he was not worry. He had long studied the way of the ninja, kinda, but now being faced with the opportunity to learn it....well it felt quite...exhilarating. Naturally, he hadn't REALLY learned anything substantial about being a ninja on his own and had instead gotten most of his knowledge from things like anime! Like Naruto! That was close enough wasn't it? No? Well he felt like it sufficed considering he had some fairly sick ninja moves! Like the cartwheel he had done was pretty awesome. Not to mention to the little forward roll he had performed for her. Both of those took quite a bit out of him considering he wasn't really well versed in melee combat. Like he'd fought people in mock battles where they weren't trying to hurt each other but in a real fight, Riku probably wouldn't have been rather useful at all. Sure he had passed the U.A. entrance exam, but that had been literally by the edge of his teeth. Seeing how how many people likely applied it wouldn't be unreasonable to think it to be rather difficult to be in U.A.
Yet, Riku's quirk had given him a chance to do what others couldn't. Rather than pure destructive power, he was well versed in disabling! Sort of. His mighty screws had a way of imbuing weight upon his opponents. Sure it had taken quite a lot out of him to actually have to use so many screws in order to stop the robots, but it all had been worth it! He had gotten into U.A.! Now sure, an unfortunate accident had occurred during the exam to him, but that was a story he'd save for another day! What mattered right now was learning how he could become a ninja!
"Yes Sensei!" The man replied near instantly as he kept his honorable pose in front of her. "I've heard rumor of both your skill and ability Sensei! I've come to learn the way to become a ninja! Regardless how hard the road might be I need to learn this skill in order to attain my goals!"

Well now, this has turned into the most amusing situation. Tsubame is all for this as she takes another bite of her sandwich. Kuro now stares at the boy with a 'why is this even happening?' type of look as her tail flicks side to side in her annoyance at being disturbed. Since becoming the vice headmaster, some students tend to avoid her due to the rumors of her abilities and past school-life she led as a student. Apparently when one has a quirk like Tsubame's, she becomes the target for those that try to overpower her to make a point. However, since she was training in the shinobi arts and how to handle her quirk, she was able to fight back....but not without causing some destruction in the wake. Of course she had Walter around to keep her in check, but even he couldn't control her when she wanted to fight against a strong opponent. Tsubame watched as the boy spoke again and she smirked in her amusement. She bent down, still eating her sandwich, and kept her gaze on him. He said something about his goals, and her own stubborn vows stuck in her mind. Why did this boy want to learn from her so much? Her might immediately went to the people that watched anime and read manga, while she did too, she wasn't too into the ninja ones due to how inaccurate they were in some parts. What was the word for it? Otaku? She wasn't sure, but she didn't really care anyway. "Hm, sounds good to hear, but what might your goals be? I have no problem with teaching you, kid, but I am just curious as to what my teaching will be used for." Tsubame took another bite of her sandwich, ripping off a piece once she swallowed for Kuro, who ate it greedily as if Tsubame hadn't fed her this morning. "You are a student, right? What is your name?" Introductions were way past order, but it was better late than never. Silently she wondered if the boy really did want to learn from her to help him through UA, or just to impress someone. Her father taught her that despite what may happen, she must always give people a chance. Sometimes it backfired on her horribly, but she kept up her father's teachings. She still hadn't gotten to know the students at UA, at least this time around, and perhaps this would be a good start. She reached into her hip pack and grabbed her last sandwich. Kuro looked hopeful, but then turned sour as she handed it over to the boy. "Want a sandwich?" Tsubame smiled kindly at the boy as she chuckled.

438 Words | “Yeah, yeah, you’re just mad I got in and you didn’t! You should totally come here to visit, though. U.A. is sooo cool!” The sound of an overly peppy and somewhat vapid voice cut through whatever the two occupants of the tree were doing at that moment. If they were to turn around, they’d see the perfect stereotype of the “popular girl” that showed up in those movies every time, smartphone to ear and yapping away at the person on the other side of the line. Dressed femininely, her uniform stylised just shy of not even being considered uniform, extravagant hair colour, eye-catching eyeliner, and painted nails… which were somewhat roughed up, paint faded and one of the nails was broken. “Wait… oh, you can’t. Well, sorry about that!” She said with a grin and silly little giggle, apparently not at all aware of the fact that she was interrupting something here. To all observers, it seemed like she’d keep talking forever, but she abruptly said, “ Oh, I just forgot I had to do something, see ya later!... Oh, whatevs, you forget stuff all the time too!” And quickly hung up the phone, putting it in her purse, and noticing that two people were there, though “noticing” may have been up for debate. Regardless, she would give no chance for questioning as a sweet smile made its way onto her face, “Oh, hii! Super sorry I interrupted you guys, I’ll g-” She then blinked a few times as she looked at Tsubame before grinning, “Oh, you’re Takada-sensei, arentcha? It’s, like, so cool to finally meet you!” She exclaimed. Suddenly remembering herself, she reeled her emotions in a bit and spoke in a more subdued smile and tone, “My name’s Saori Kudou. Nice to meet you both!” Even still, she carried a sweet voice, though it was stereotypical of girls that… weren’t as academically inclined as their peers. “Hey, hey, I hear you’ve got, like, ninja skills. Really good at fighting, and stuff.” She continued, her sweet smile having been converted into an enthusiastic grin, “Like, I’m not very smart, but it’d be really cool if you could teach me! Look,” She showed her nails, paint faded, and one nail broken, “My nails are all ruined, so I won’t hold back to save them, okay?” She stated as if her efforts hinged upon the state of her nails, fitting for someone of her sort. Still, the events in which she came here matched up entirely too well. Whether by coincidence or not, she was here and prepared to learn, even if she didn’t show it… directly as her classmate. What was he going to use the skills she was going to teach him for?
....Well. That was simple. "TO UPHOLD THE VALUES OF BOTH TRUTH AND JUSTICE SENSEI!" Riku answered almost immediately as he still kept his 'honorable' pose in front of the Kunoichi. He answered straight from the heart and soul as he felt a ninja should have likely done. Being that he was in the character of Ninja-Riku, Riku could only act as his character dictated. Which was why he quickly broke his pose and gazed up at the lady with a pair of HUGE sparkles that danced in his eyes. " AND TO LOOK FRIGGIN AWESOME WHILE DOING IT!"And that was the truth.
Riku harbored no evil intentions within his heart! For real!!!! Even if his smile might have looked a bit suspect before he had made contact with the woman! It had ONLY been because he was ABSOLUTELY excited to meet the lady who had established herself rather quickly in the hero world as someone to watch out for! Aside from her quirk which made her seem nearly unstoppable, what stood out most about her was her wide array of skills. Given that she was apparently one who had immersed herself into the arts of the ninja, Riku had followed her career rather closely! Which was why he had been insanely excited to meet her just a few moments ago! That creepy smile was just one of his bad habits! Honest!~ "My name is Riku Sakamaki Sensei!" Riku replied as he answered the second of the woman's questions and then quickly pressed on the account for the third and last question. "No thank you Sensei. I doubt my poor uninitiated stomach could handle a meal as-" Stopping partially through his answer as the arrival of a new girl interrupted him, Riku's head snapped to the side to see who would dare steal his thunder. Eyes centering on the form of the girl, Riku's gaze began to narrow. It was his worst enemy.
...
..
.
RIVAL-CHAN.
.
..
...
CURSE HER! "Sensei!" Riku spoke suddenly as he turned to face his new Master, "Please grant me a chance to prove myself as your number one pupil! Considering I have officially asked for guidance roughly two minutes and fourteen seconds earlier than this girl, I feel that I am the one who is most qualified for a chance at that title!"

Today was turning out to be an interesting day despite her faulty memory. She really needed to remember what she was going to do or what it was about since it seemed rather important. She could only imagine her secretary's expression when she went back to her and told her she forgotten what it was. Today was the type of day she didn't need to face the demon who smiled daily at her from behind her desk. The horror of a woman angered by her boss's incompetence with paperwork and meetings...let's just say it wasn't pretty. The boy in front of her amused her for sure, his determination thus far has proved that he was indeed looking to learn from her. She just chuckled quietly as he rejected her off of her sandwich and simply stuffed it back into her bag. Kuro looked dejected as her hopes of another meal were dashed by her owners removal of the food. His answer was amusing as well, but it didn't hold up to what she was expecting. Then again, everyone is different. The only snag is that should her students use their training for bad purposes, then she would be forced to take action and not in the 'mild mannered vice headmaster' way. The way of her shinobi clan was to protect those that cannot protect themselves, and that is what is expected of those that learn it. No one was perfect, but in order to move forward in life, one must place trust with a risk. She was sure she could help this boy along and perhaps get him along the road of a hero and shinobi.
"Well, Riku Sakimaki, then you will be---" She was cut off with another voice approaching. This one did not sound like someone interested in training, but again, one must never judge based on first appearances. However, based on appearances, this girl seemed like the type to only like boys and what latest fashions to wear. Then again....her brothers were not the cut and paste typical shinobi types either, so she really really can't judge others. Still though, she wondered if this was exactly how these two felt about training. She would have to set up a training session that acted like a test. Tsubame knew that her name would attract attention to the students, but she was hoping that it would not cause much trouble in the meantime. Sighing, she stood up and crossed her arms. "It is lovely to meet you, Saori Kudou. It takes all sorts to walk the way of the shinobi, so there isn't anything to worry about with that. However, as the vice headmaster, I do hope you strive to do your best academically too."
Tsubame smiled at the both of them and fell into thought. Were she to take on the two students, she would need to have more open time to train them. After school would be the best time and training times were always scheduled during the day. This would work. She chuckled quietly, her tone and gaze softening as she remembered herself in this same school. Others tended to stay away from her due to her quirk and her attitude during school. It all changed when her best friend Walter showed up and forced himself into her life. Now she grew into a sociable person who was able to talk with others easily. What would Walter say now that she has two prospective students in front of her?
"In my training, there isn't a number one spot or whathaveyou. Just do your best and do what is right, that is all I ask. However, there is one thing that I must warn you about. Should you use the training I give you for nefarious purposes or use it in other unsavory practices.....there will be consequences." While her tone didn't change from the nonchalant one from previously, her eyes hardened and became sharper. And then just as quickly as the dark look came, she brightened and grinned at the both of them. "Am I clear? So, if you both don't mind, I can set up a sort of test for you both if you want. What do you say?"

447 Words | When Saori came here, she had hoped to come here alone. After all, she was meant to be a girly girl, not very good at manly and physical things. The thought of her being exposed as someone who loved the idea of a tussle with a fellow classmate and frequented underground fighting rings were not things she wanted getting out. Especially the latter; that was illegal! However, fate was not so kind to her, for the vice-headmaster was already being… well, assailed was really the right word here. The boy approaching her really didn’t seem like the calm, collected type. If anything, he was kinda weird! She wasn’t really judging, especially with all the kinds of people in U.A., but still. Regardless, she needed this. An opportunity to speak in private with the vice-headmaster wouldn’t arise so easily again. While this wasn’t strictly private, it was better than whatever else she might get, especially if she decided to train the odd boy. It was for this reason that she chose now to approach her, and the response was… interesting, to say the least. As soon as she opened her mouth, the boy snapped his head around so fast she’d swear he could break it, and the gaze he gave her very clearly wasn’t pleasant. Competitive, to be precise. He clearly didn’t like the idea of another student stealing the spotlight from him, for whatever reason. He felt the need to be number one. This was made abundantly clear by what he said next, outright declaring he was most suited for a position as number one pupil. Well, at least he was honest. She decided to not say anything to his words, instead opting to speak to the comparatively more polite Takada-sensei. She was so nice and— she mentioned studies. Why studies? “But that’s boooring! Do I have to? History’s not gonna help me stop baddies!” She complained, already in the role of somewhat whiny student. While more than willing and able to learn all things physical, she did not seem like the type to lean towards academic pursuits. But she had no time to complain, the sensei was speaking! Unsurprisingly, she clarified that there really wasn’t a number one spot when it came to pupils, and that she wouldn’t tolerate them using her training for nefarious purposes. Naturally, the sensei’s look became quite hardened, and considering her skill, it was kinda scary to look at. Still, Saori was not the type to even consider doing nefarious things. “Yes, sensei! I’ll never do any bad stuff!” She said with an enthusiastic nod and smile, “Any test you give me, I’ll do!... Except maybe a written one. That’s boring.”Tsubame Takada Riku Sakamaki |

"Ahh." Riku replied simply as he remained locked in his pose of respect towards their sensei.
"Sensei. Ignore the ramblings of the second best student under your tutelage. I am fully ready to excel both physically AND mentally!" Riku said as he cast a pair of side eyes towards the girl beside him. Riku wasn't above getting all that brown on his nose so long if he could become the very best ninja possible. Given that the girl was already crying about the things that their sensei was asking of them, Riku didn't think her to be a very strong Rival at all! But don't get it twisted! Riku still wasn't all that sure about the girl's abilities. She looked relatively normal but....she could be one of THOSE. Those who were gifted. Those who were lucky. Those who were born with the abilities to do whatever they wanted. Yeah. She definitely could have been one of those. But then again, Riku thought anyone could be one of THOSE. Until he was proven otherwise he looked at everyone with a pair of skeptical eyes.
When their sensei however told them that misuse of their taught skills, the girl's demeanor seemed to change. She seemed quite confident when it came to the physical portion of the training which lead Riku to double down on his thoughts that the slender and thin girl was one hundred and ten percent...ONE OF THOSE! He hated people who were born with a far superior than his own and couldn't help his own insecurities that rose from those thoughts. But that aside, Riku wasn't about to let the girl steal the top spot from him. He was dedicated to proving himself to be the more capable one of the pair and would do whatever was necessary to solidify that fact.
"Sensei. Please. Give us your test. I, Riku Sakamaki, will prove myself worthy of your teachings!"

Tsubame grinned gently at her two new students as she thought about the training session she could put them in that wasn't overly challenging, but at least gave a good example of their abilities. Quietly Kuro weaved in and out of her legs as she also listened to the two of them talk. They seemed completely different from each other. One was really feminine while the other was simply odd. Neither bothered her as she too was different than those that she trained with when she was their age. Perhaps having some competition between them will help them grow, though too much and negative feelings could be gathered. Tsubame chuckled quietly as Saori whined at the mention of studies. While physical training was part of the shinobi way, one must train their body and mind as well to become the best they can be. She was about to answer Saori when Riku spoke up about how he was fully ready to train both body and mind. Well....I am loving his energy and keenness to train. I wonder what will come of his eagerness in the future. Tsubame thought quietly to herself when she just crossed her arms as she regarded her two students. "I know it may not be your cup of tea, Saori, but studying different subjects will help your mind strengthen as well as expand. In the shinobi arts there is more than just throwing knives and using katana's. A warrior must use their head to get out of situations when it calls for it." Tsubame adopted her usual teaching tone while talking, though it was just a more gentler one than she normally used. As the Vice Headmaster she tended to try to talk to others a bit more informally to help ease their worries. "You and Riku have to train your body, mind, and spirit to create the best body to fight with." Tsubame uncrossed her arms to rest her hands on her hips. She grinned at them as she thought again about the training. It can't be too challenging so as to dissuade them... But it also can't be too easy... It came to her in the form of a sharp meow at her feet. Of course. It had to be that. Kuro wanted more sandwiches and meowed at her owner to get her attention. Tsubame pointed down at Kuro with a grin. "The first test will be to catch Kuro. The grounds of the school will be the training grounds and you have until 8pm tomorrow night. Since tomorrow is going to be a day off, we can start in the morning at 5am." Kuro looked up at Tsubame with disdain, but did understand what was now expected of her. Kuro was expecting at least two sandwiches for this.... Kuro

Despite her posture and demeanour, even the likes of Saori knew that this sort of thing was to be taken seriously. A lot of her life involved fighting, and while she was aware that Tsubame’s training likely involved more than just learning how to be a better fighter, she still had the idea of discipline ingrained in her… somewhere… and when it didn’t come to stuff like studies. Honestly, why did she have to do that? Still, she was the sensei, so she guessed she had to.[break][break]
But what Riku said next shocked her in a bad way. He… he actually said that!? Just how rude could someone be!? She couldn’t help opening her mouth with a look of shock, and had half the mind to lay in on him for what he said, but she restrained herself. Closing her mouth and taking a few moments to cool off, she’d turn to Riku and speak in a calm tone.[break][break]
“Y’know, Sakamaki-san, you can keep pleasing Takada-sensei. But putting me down when you do it really isn’t nice, so please stop, okay?” She requested, “I mean, you’re probably smarter than I am, but like, saying it like that is mean.”[break][break]
With that out of the way, she turned back to her sensei, waiting for the challenge they’d be given. Tsubame gave another lecture on the training they’d be doing, and what she said did make a lot of sense. A shinobi needed to be strong in mind as well, to keep on their toes. That didn’t mean she had to like it though, so she simply resorted to pouting and nodding with resignation.[break][break]
And then, the challenge, a test of agility. Saori couldn’t help but smile; her Quirk was absolutely perfect for that, “Okay, Takada-sensei! I’ll do this in no time!” She said with beaming confidence, “Is there, like, anything we should know before doing this test?”
