Post by Akasu Naibun on Dec 20, 2018 23:50:49 GMT
Akasu sighed to himself as he looked at the menu as if it was the most interesting piece of document in the world. Well, it sort of was pretty interesting, he couldn't say he wasn't planning out what he was going to get rather meticulously, he had only reluctantly agreed (well, okay he got sort of dragged by force) but he had sat down because it happened the Izakaya they were at right now was known for its apparently god level charcoal grilled yakitori that he HAD wanted to try for a while now but hadn't got round to doing so yet.
But the point was, he usually avoided these sort of work related gatherings like the plague because he was slightly unsociable. Only slightly, as in he never attended them for the last 2 years but today was his teacher night out debut, he guessed. looking at the menu also meant he didn't have to sit there awkwardly, feeling like he had to make some small talk or something like that. He glanced up from the menu once he chose what he was getting, (Chicken skin, Negima, thigh, heart, liver, one each, plus the plum kimchee, crushed cucumber and an egg on rice to finish.) before discreetly reaching out for the drinks menu and glancing through it. It had the usual stuff, like shochu cocktails and draft beers and some sake. What should he get? Yakitori so...beer right? Oh wow, they had some Western imports here, that was pretty rare! He tried to look preoccupied so his colleagues wouldn't speak to him and he would just blend into the background so he could appreciate his food and sneak off home early, that was his plan. And as the self appointed king of not standing out, he was sure he could accomplish his plans if he played his cards well.

Post by Atsuko Hiyake on Dec 21, 2018 3:14:54 GMT
Oddly enough, Hiyake was dressed in completely ordinary clothes, just a plain green t-shirt and some jeans. Well, except for her cape, detached to her costume and hooked onto the back of her shirt. Was it for the sake of comfort? Brand recognition? A bizarre style choice? Regardless, she looked relatively usual. She'd been getting a bit antsy standing alone, but seeing as it was a teacher's night out, and her coworker was standing right there, she'd approached him. Being a fairly touchy person, she immediately wrapped her arm around his shoulder, leaning on him slightly. "Akasu-san! Didn't expect you along for tonight!" She gave him a squeeze before reaching out to grab a food menu, skipping over the drink menu entirely. For some people it was fine to have a glass now and then, but she preferred to do what she could to avoid slipping back into dependency. She did have a glass of warm water, though, so she stopped talking for a moment to take a quick swig.
"So? What do you think of this year's crop of hopefuls?" she said, turning her eyes to the list of meals. "Big mix of kids from hero families and no names! It's going to be quite the exciting year, that's for sure. I can already tell you're going to be busy," she said, cackling. Whether that was a comment on what the students seemed to be like or her own aggressive training regimen wasn't entirely clearly, but hopefully the former, as that was slightly less concerning. "To a year of adventure," she added, knocking back another swig.

Post by Aoi Sato on Dec 22, 2018 14:12:58 GMT
Going out was not exactly Aoi's thing. She preferred sitting in her apartment surrounded by her pets, which she had many of. Her mother would say she had an obsession. That and that if she would have a husband, she would not want to keep getting more cats and dogs. Jokes on her mother though, she was not interested in men. She just has not broken that news to her dear old mum just yet. In the current state she was in anyway, it would not be recommended to come out. Her father knew. He actually told her to be happy on his death bed. A moment that has stuck for her ever since he had passed away. She actually decided that more pets was the key to happiness. That's what she told herself at least. Who needs a girlfriend when you can have Corgis and kittens?
Wearing a simple shirt with a pair of black jeans, Aoi did not want to put too much effort into this teacher get-together. Sliding in on the opposite side of two teachers, she recognized them as the teachers she prepped 1-A with. They were both decent people. Akasu was a generally pleasant person to be around that didn't want to be noticed. She sort of understood that sentiment. Atsuko was eccentric but likable in her own way. Peering over the drinks lists, she nodded to herself. She did not mind a good mix drink from time to time. Listening in on the conversation, she decided to throw in her two-cents. "They look promising buuuuuuuut that doesn't mean much. I remember last year. Half that class isn't here anymore and they looked promising. I'm sure we'll do great though. Just hope cousin can tone down is spiel." She grinned a bit, tossing the drink card aside before looking at the regular menu. "Love the outfit, Hiyake-san."

"U..uh yes I...didn't expect to be out either..." Akasu replied watching the older woman drinking something from the glass in her hand, he remembered her asking the man at the counter for warm water...was she drinking actual just warm water? He hardly spent time with other staff as he mostly stayed in his office so he wasn't all that familiar with his fellow teachers even though he had been in U.A for 2 years already, almost 3 come summer. He was also pretty sure one was meant to wait for all the drinks to be ordered, then arrive before doing a kanpai but...well, it seemed Hiyake-sensei was a rather unique person, to say the very least so he let it slide. At the comment about having more work to do, Akasu couldn't help but sigh. It was very, very true. "Yes...it seems like it will be so... I am sure I will have memorized some of their names by the end of this term if not earlier..." And probably know half their life's worth of secrets. "I always wish they would be more careful but... I can almost see it in their eyes, specially 1st years are...something..." He was just hoping that the children were not harbouring any...darker secrets because his "bleed out" effect that triggered when he heard that type of secret wasn't pleasant to see or experience to say the very least, though it wasn't all that common for it to happen. "...Sports day...is coming up also..." He said with a tired sigh. That was usually the one day every first year overreached and so much healing needed to be done. He probably would have to ask the help of the boy from 3-H again...he had been very helpful last year also... he needed to sort that out on Monday. The waitress came and he ordered his food and drink, he couldn’t help but be a little excited for it to arrive.
