“A warehouse? I thought you said you were taking me to get experience in the field?”Hyousuke hadn’t known what he was expecting out of the first session outside of the training area. He had, however, expected something a little more exciting than poking around somewhere that only really posed a threat to people with dust allergies. Sure, there was the occasional squatter, or gang looking to find somewhere to use as a base of operations, but by and large, the most exciting thing about them was whatever rubbish the previous owners had left behind. “We are.” Yuuto replied bluntly, while making some final checks on his gear. “Remember, you’re here to learn how to be a hero, not some thug with a permit.”“Yeah, I get that. But what are we doing here specifically? This doesn’t seem like something the Bloodhounds usually do."“It doesn’t seem like that because nobody ever writes about these jobs. Sure, we get plenty of jobs like you see in the news. But we can’t just stand around training all day until something comes up if we’re ever going to turn a profit while keeping all our facilities. So between kidnappings and asset retrieval, we run this sort of job. Security sweeps, guard duty, bodyguarding, whatever pays the bills.”Disappointed though he was at the fact that the day wasn’t going to be as eventful as he’d hoped, Hyousuke supposed there was little to do but accept it. At the very least, he’d likely be able to pick up some skills while accompanying Yuuto. Scanning a room, what to look for… Dull stuff, but necessary, especially as a hero. He started forward, but found himself stopped by Yuuto grabbing his shoulder lightly. “Wait. Check your gear first. You don’t want it failing on you in the middle of a fight.”“I checked it before we left, it’s fine.”“Then check it again. We’re not in any hurry, so don’t get hasty when you don’t need to.”It was annoying, but if it got Yuuto off his back, Hyousuke figured it’d be worth it. It was hardly as if there was much to check either way. His hands ran over the armour, checking everything was stable. Heat and night vision worked fine - he couldn’t see much through them, given the conditions, but they were working. And, while he had no real way to test if the electrification in his costume was at full capacity - not without doing some damage to someone - the feedback from his suit was positive. With it all verified, Hyousuke let Yuuto know, and his mentor nodded at him. “Good, it always pays to be thorough. You’ll be thanking me if your gear screws up on you before you go on an op.”With Hyousuke taken care of, he turned towards Isamu, weapon pointed towards the floor, his scarlet gaze glinting in the midday light. “What about your gear?” he asked, focusing mostly on Hyousuke’s classmate, but occasionally glancing back at the door in case there was someone in there deciding to try and get the jump on them. “Everything working as it should?”

Isamu had, perhaps predictably, gotten an offer to intern at his parents’ agency following the sports festival. But he had also gotten several; other offers and, truth be told, wanted to broaden his horizons more. He was already familiar with how his parents worked, and how their agency worked, so had sent a letter—an actual, handwritten letter—thanking them for the offer but explaining that he was taking another offer. He hoped they wouldn’t be too upset, though he expected some razzing from his older brother at some point.
Instead, he had found himself here, at the Bloodhound agency, looking forward to learning about some different kinds of hero work. He was also mildly surprised to find a fellow classmate there, as well, though he couldn’t be sure the other student wasn’t equally if not more surprised to see Isamu there as well.
He had committed to the in-base training without comment or complaint, complimenting it with his own training regime in his downtime to compliment his other skills, and was actually mildly looking forward to their assignment. Mostly because it seemed like the investigation work might play to his strengths, although he couldn’t help but overhear Hyousuke’s complaining. He held his tongue, however—his estimation was that Yuuto would chastise him, and he was right.
His hero costume wasn’t overly gaudy or flashy, but it didn’t need to be. A simple black, streamlined suit, for stealth, with a black vest over it containing all of his various throwing capsules. A small concealed pouch on the back of his vest contained some miniature tools should they prove necessary. On his left wrist was a slim wrist computer, and on each hand were a pair of black, fingerless gloves with metal studs across the knuckles.
Of course, he hd checked all of his gear when they suited up back at the base, but when they had arrived on-site he had also started double-checking his gear of his own volition. Vest cinched tight. All pockets and pouches secured. All of his thrown items in their proper places. Wrist computer online and recording. Gloves pulled tight, and the safety off so they sparked when he closed his fist.
He nodded to the pro hero when he finally turned his attention to him, already tapping at his wrist computer and pulling up a holographic map of the address they had been sent to sweep to inspect the floorplan for entrances, exists, and other information of note. “Yes, sir. Everything is in place.” Isamu was usually more quiet and restrained, but always worked hard and rarely complained.

Yuuto simply nodded, and made his way to the door, unlocking it before placing his hand on the handle. "Good. Both of you, follow me, and keep an eye out. Chances are there shouldn't be anyone or anything worth our time - some rats, maybe an opportunistic vandal if we're unlucky. Always pays to keep your head on a swivel though." Yuuto moved up closer, and flashed three fingers up at the pair, signalling for them to get ready, then two, then one. He stepped through the door, sweeping the immediate area, his gaze and his rifle scanning across it before lowering. "Entrance seems clear. Dynamo, set your visor to heat vision and sweep the area. If there's anyone hiding on this floor, I want to know before they get the drop on us. Shadowkat, get the lights - they shouldn't be far from here. Keep those senses primed, though. Thermal doesn't pick up sound, far as I can tell." Yuuto didn't think they'd be tangling with anyone other than perhaps a police officer that wasn't in the loop, or an overzealous bureaucrat pulling some obscure and unenforced law out to get them off the premises, but the last thing he needed was for his agency to be responsible for a couple of kids being put into danger they could've avoided. "Got it." Hyousuke responded, before switching his helmet's vision to thermal. He looked over each corner of the room, scanning slowly from end to end, but nothing was there. Nothing that he could see, anyway. "Ground floor looks clear to me, sir.""And the ceiling?""The ceiling, sir?""Might be someone with a climbing quirk or something similar around here. It only takes a second to check - saves us a lot of trouble if we catch someone before they drop down on us though."Hyousuke nodded, before glancing upwards and scanning again. It seemed clear, and he said as much, but Yuuto nevertheless advised they both remain vigilant. Hyousuke nodded at this, and kept his fists clenched, walking with Yuuto as they followed Isamu to the light switches. "We'll take a closer look around the ground floor, and repeat it on the second. Keep in mind you're not just looking for people - if anything seems out of place, report it to me. I'm talking graffiti that looks like it was put here recently, footprints that aren't ours, even a creak that sounds a little bit too heavy." Once Isamu had the place lit up, Yuuto once again started to lead the team around the warehouse, rifle pointed down - but his eyes shifting and hands waiting, ready to lay rubber into anyone that seemed to be a threat.
Above them, creaking and quiet footsteps sounded. Between the floorboards and the ceiling above them, as well as their helmets, Yuuto and Hyousuke couldn't hear a thing - but for those with enhanced senses, it might have been enough to raise suspicion.

Isamu already had his nose to the ground as the small group entered the building, sniffing back and forth before the fresh air and their new scents provided too many competing scents to mentally filter out. “I’m picking up a fourth scent… somewhat recent, but I couldn’t say how long ago, or if it was heading in or out. We should be on our guard.” While his nose was to the ground both ears were up, whiskers out and tense, his whole body on alert for the slightest bit of stimulation. “But it’s human, either way.” He wantered in a few steps—taking care not to get too far ahead of Yuuto, of course, still trying to pick up more detrails. “Mmm… chemical smells? Can’t tell if that belongs to the fourth person or came from the warehouse.” Old decrepit buildings could go through a lot of changes as they were left unattended for long periods of time… to say nothing of any contents that may have been left abandoned inside, as well.
He nodded as the pro issued further orders, reversing course and scanning along the walls. He didn’t need a lot of lighting in order to be able to pick out details in the warehouse, and quickly found what he was looking for, a thick cable running along the wall. He followed it to a control box that looked like it had several switches on it. “Time to see if they left the mains on.” He hopped lightly up to a box next to the switch and reached out to the switch.
He froze in midmotion, ears perking up, followed by his head turning upwards, both ears facing forward as he held up a hand to the other two to silence them. He kept listening, focusing, making sure…. When he heard it again he nodded to himself. “We have company,” he said quietly. “Upstairs. I hear the floorboards creaking.” His ears twitched faintly as he tried to pinpoint the sound. “Do you want the lights on or do you want to keep the element of surprise?” There were arguments for and against, so he left that decision to the pro. He didn’t need lighting himself in most cases, but nott everyone had his senses.

"Human and chemical smells, plus that floorboard?" Yuuto muttered, glancing quickly over at Isamu as he spoke. "Sounds like a vandal. Probably someone packing some spray paint.""Agreed. Stay on guard, though. There's no telling what kind of Quirk this guy's packing. We'll keep the lights off for now - so long as we're quiet, we should be able to get the drop on him before he sees us. Dynamo, stick close keep an eye out for anyone else on the second floor. If there's two of us, he's less likely to put up a fight. Shadowkat, see if you can get around him while I take point. If things go south, don't hesitate to drop him." Hyousuke nodded affirmatively, and followed close behind as Yuuto took point and moved swiftly up the stairs. Fists clenched, and the occasional arc of electricity running across his suit, he was ready for a fight - and judging by Yuuto switching his rifle out for a flashlight and a pistol, both aimed forward and ready. Yuuto's moved with almost inhuman precision, with his steps being nigh-silent and surprisingly quick for someone in armour such as his. He tried not to show it, but Hyousuke struggled to keep up while still remaining quiet enough that the vandal wouldn't hear them as they approached. Yuuto - being no stranger to low-light conditions, especially with light filtering in past the boarded windows, quickly found the culprit before they had a chance to so much as turn around. Caught in the light of Yuuto's torch mid-spray, it was fairly obvious that the tag on the wall had come from them, and for a minute, Hyousuke felt a little smug that they'd managed to catch someone red-handed while barely even trying. What little of that feeling he had started to fade the moment that he saw the sigil on the wall, though. That shade of green, the V with a snake's head to the left, the triangular border around it... there was no mistaking it. That was the Vipers' sign. One he was all too familiar with. Unaware of the mixture of shock and fury that had begun to emerge on Hyousuke's face, Yuuto kept his light and the pistol aimed on the vandal, hoping to keep them stunned and too confused to act until he could close the gap and put them in cuffs. "Put the paint down and your hands up!" Yuuto commanded, his voice commanding, even through the filter of a helmet. "Now! Hands where I can see them!"The vandal didn't even have time to process the order. Hyousuke, in a fit of blind rage, pelted towards their target. That sudden movement seemed to be enough to shake them out of their stupor, however, and they themselves darted off to the side to leap off the guard rail and down towards the stairs. Not thinking, and ignoring Yuuto's shouts, Hyousuke followed suit. The two of them landed on the floor below with unceremonious thuds, stumbling down the stairs after each other until they reached the bottom. Then came the heavy footfalls of one chasing after the other - a predator hunting down its prey with single-minded determination. "Son of a- Shadowkat, get after them! I'll be right behind you!" Truth was, Yuuto had Hyousuke pegged as a loose cannon from the start. The kid had promise on a purely technical level, but his personality needed work to say the least. He'd kept a tracker on the kid before they'd even entered the building, but he'd not expected to have to use it so soon. Without waiting for Isamu to provide confirmation, he started down the stairs after his intern, moving with practised finesse as he made his way towards them.

Isamu withdrew his hand from the light switch, nodding as the pro hero gave them both orders. “Understood.” He jumped down from the create he’d been standing on to reach the lights and vanished into the depths of the warehouse, a black stream lost in the dim lighting of the abandoned warehouse.
He had several options to get to the top floor, between his jumping and climbing abilities, but simply opted for an alternate staircase in case he needed to block off an escape route. His padded feet made no sound as he crept his way up the decrepit stairs—even if the stairs creaked a little, his weight was so slight they didn’t make much sound, and any small amount of sounds could be attributed to the building creaking and settling.
He peered carefully at the second story from the stairs, not creeping up until he was satisfied the culprit wasn’t standing right beside the staircase. Ears perked up, he followed the faint creaking of the floorboards until he found the suspect. And it was indeed a vandal of some kind, someone spraypainting some kind of tag onto the wall. He carefully took a picture of both the gang member and the tag for their records later, in case they were needed, then kept crouched behind a crate, body low to the ground to minimize the chances of someone spotting him—most people looked around for things at eye level, and his black fur let him blend into the darkness.
He could hear Yuuto and Hyousuke approaching their general location easily enough in the silent and dead air, and allowed himself to relax just a smidge as the pro hero called for the vandal to stand down, though he didn’t relax too much, remaining hidden until he got the all clear.
And then the damned idiot ruined what would have been a perfectly safe, textbook arrest. He swore in his head as he emerged from his hiding place to charge towards the scene while the other student and villain both launched themselves over the railing to get to the ground floor. “Copy that!” he shouted as he followed suit, leaping cleanly over the railing but directly to the ground floor below. He grunted softly as his knees bent, muscles and tendons asorbing the impact with the ground even as he rocked his body forward, propelling himself forward into the clutter. He couldn’t precisely smaller pinpoint noises yet, but the frackas of two people barreling through the warehouse was easy enough to track.
He surged through the warehouse, weaving through crates and even leaping from box to box when he had to—at his top speed of 30 mph he could easily overtake the pair, but he was heading for the exit instead, to once again block off a possible escape path. As he ran, paws flying, heart beating in his chest, he weighed his options. Protocol dictated they identify themselves as heroes before making a capture. They had started to do that, until Hyousuke had interrupted that. That would complicate things with the law, but that was a concern for later. He also had orders to take down the suspect if things went ‘south’—which they had, by any reasonable construction of the word. Prioritize the capture. Then figure out what’s going on with Dynamo.
Flashbangs would be his preferred method of staling the villain, but with Dynamo in hot pursuit there’d be too great a risk of catching him in the blast. Oil slick had the same problem, plus the danger of Hyousuke’s electricity igniting it. Glue bombs, then.
After overtaking the pair and getting ahead, Isamu leapt up from behind a create and flung the glue bomb directly at the fleeing suspect’s face, hoping that he wouldn’t have time to notice or react. Hopefully it would over his eyes and prevent him from running—if he grabbed at his face to get it off and trapped a hand, that was just a bonus. Isamu dove behind the boxes again and hauled tail to a different vantage point to avoid any possible retaliatory attacks—they still didn’t know what the stranger’s quirk was, so best to play it safe.

Hyousuke barely paid attention to the fact that he was being pursued. He heard footsteps behind him, of course, and shouting, but it didn't register. His focus was on the vandal, and them alone. He was only inches away from them, hands reaching towards their neck, before Isamu's glue capsule came flying at them from out of nowhere. Hyousuke didn't even acknowledge his teammate after the fact, instead pushing the culprit's back against the wall while they tried in vain to tug the adhesive off of their face. Mucha s he wanted to watch them squirm, Hyousuke had questions.
The distinct crackle of electricity sounded into the air as Hyousuke's arms began to arc more intensely, the bright blue flashes of power running along them showing just where he was directing his energy. "Who sent you?! What are the Vipers doing in Musutafu?! I want answers!" The vandal tried to swing, waving the spraypaint around - either to bludgeon Hyousuke with it, or to get the paint in his eyes. Either way, it failed, and the blond was quick to tear it from their hands and toss it to one side while the crackling from his arms grew ever more intense. He pressed his forearm up against their neck, drawing ever closer while his voice turned to a vicious snarl. "Talk, damn it! What are the Vipers doing outside of Tokyo?!"
Before Hyousuke could get any answers out of them, however, Yuuto had his rifle aimed at them both, his finger ready to pull the trigger at any second. "Let him go! Both of you, hands in the air, now!" "Like hell I will! This asshole was spraying a-" "I don't care what the hell he was spraying, we'll sort it out later! Now both of you, stand down! Final warning!" Teeth grit, and gaze flitting between his mentor and what he was certain was a member of the Vipers, Hyousuke eventually saw reason and drew back, hands raised weakly while a scowl crossed his face. The vandal did the same - as much as they could, anyway, given that both of their hands were stuck to their face.
"Power down, kid, and step to one side. I'll deal with you later. Shadowkat, keep an eye on him while I get someone in here to take care of our guest. Last thing we need is him running off again." Silently, Hyousuke moved aside, while Yuuto dragged the vandal off to the side somewhere nearer the entrance. He started to speak over his radio, relaying information and requesting someone come by to pick up the kid whenever was convenient, leaving Isamu and Hyou alone. Slowly lowering his arms, Hyousuke glared at Isamu, though it was likely difficult to tell past the helmet. "Don't. Whatever you're going to say, I don't want to hear it."

After diving behind cover again, Isamu immediately peeked around a different crate—good, it had hit, and the villain wasn’t going anywhere. Unfortunately, he had left the vandal vulnerable to Hyousuke’s outrage—Maybe the flashbang next time, collateral damage be damned—and he emerged as his fellow student slammed the villain against the wall.
“That’s enough!” shouted Isamu, trying this best to project authority from his ridiculously small, cat-sized frame. Though now that he was on edge his fur was standing up a big more, at least giving him a little bit larger of an appearance.
And when he seemed more determined to inflict harm on the captive he growled faintly, hand slipping into his vest to grab that flashbang after all. “Suzuki, this is your last warning!” He had a brief thought for protocol and whether he was permitted to attack another hero, even one going as far off the rails as Hyousuke was—but if inaction meant letting a captive come to harm, he’d take his lumps later if he needed to.
His arm wound back, and he tensed to throw, when Lockon suddenly appeared, wielding his gun at both Hyousuke and the vandal. His ears snapped to focus on the pro, but he didn’t take his gaze off the pair. He’d been so focused on Dynamo he’d lost track of their mentor arriving.
He let out a sigh when Hyousuke finally relented and stepped back, and quickly moved around him to stand firmly between them, rising up to his full two and a half foot stature, arms crossed over his chest but the flashbang still palmed. “Yes, sir,” he said in response to Lockon’s order. When he had the vandal well in hand he reached into a different pocket and pulled out another capsule marked ‘Solvent.’ “Lockon!” He gently tossed it to the pro so that they could ge the glue off at the appropriate time.
Only after Lockon was safely out of the warehouse with the captive did Isamu finally put the flashbang away.
He didn’t really need to see Hyou’s face at that moment to guess there was probably a scowl or a glare there, but remained silent, arms crossed, eyes narrowed, tail lashing back and forth.
“You don’t get to make any demands right now,” he said, after a long moment of silence. Isamu kept his gaze on Dynamo the entire time—he didn’t even need to blink, so he could follow that order both metaphorically and literally. “… but I’ll let Lockon read you the riot act. You recognized that symbol, didn’t you? What does it mean to you?”

Yuuto offered Isamu a quick nod by way of response, silently thanking him before pushing the person out the door, leaving the other two alone. Judging by Hyousuke's actions, and what he'd read about the boy in the files the school had passed onto him, Yuuto had an idea of what it was that'd angered him so. But it didn't pay to assume. He'd thinking about it more then the kid he had in his grasp was in the police's hands instead. For the time being, he'd let Isamu handle things there. Perhaps someone that Hyousuke didn't see as an authority figure would be able to at least get him to settle down some.
Hyousuke's piercing gaze - somewhat lessened by the fact that his face was almost completely obscured by the visor on his face - bored into Isamu, but eventually he relented, looking away with grit teeth and a scowl etched into his expression. He didn't particularly want to tell his teammate anything. Hell, his relationship with the Vipers was something that he didn't like reminding himself of - it was a sordid part of his history that he wanted to leave behind, lest it colour other people's judgement of him. But at the same time, that outburst hadn't been nothing. If he was ever going to get Isamu to drop it - at least for a while - he supposed it might be best to give him something. Just enough to get him to relent.
"They're a gang. Small-time." His words were disdainful - it was fairly obvious that he had no love for them, with each syllable laced with venom. "Muggings, petty theft, that sort of thing. The problem is that they're a Tokyo gang. Got no idea what they're doing here." That was about as much as he was willing to reveal, though. He couldn't just say nothing. Chances were, that wasn't going to be an answer that'd satisfy anyone. But that didn't mean revealing everything either. He turned back to face Isamu, arms crossed as he leaned against the wall, waiting for a response.
He wasn't going to reveal what exactly it meant to him, of course. The hatred it inspired in him, the fury that it lit deep inside his soul, and how it burned him to remember his days in the Vipers' clutches. No, that wasn't a discussion to have with someone he wasn't particularly close with - but even then, even if they were good friends, Hyousuke wasn't entirely sure that he'd be comfortable revealing that much of himself anyway. That part of him that he regretted so much would stay buried as much as he could manage, and God willing, he would take his secrets with him to the grave.

Isamu was loathe to admit to sharing any traits ascribed to cats by folklore or pop culture, preferring to focus mainly on the physical attributes of his quirk. He did, however, share one particular trait, a sort of intrusive curiosity into the world around him.
Of course, it was hard not to be curious about what prompted Hyousuke’s reaction, but it was also not hard to guess what the connection between Hyousuke and the Vipers—and there was a connection, that was clear as day—might be.
It was also plainly obvious that Hyousuke had dodged the important question, of exactly what the Vipers meant to him. Time to poke and prod, then. His tail’s lashing slowed down as he regained his calm, his voice slipping back into its usual stoic tone.
“You have a history with the Vipers,” he said, matter-of-factly. It wasn’t a question. He watched Hyousuke carefully, looking for any twitches or clenching of the fist that might betray his emotions, using his honed, predator’s sight to catch the reactions. And also in case Hyousuke started to lash out.
“For such a ‘small-time’ gang they provoked a big reaction from you. To me, that suggests one of two possibilities. First, someone close to you was harmed by the vipers.” He paused, watching carefully for any reasons. “Second, that you were associated with them in some fashion.” More careful watching.
“Regardless of what might be in your past, you need to focus on the here and now.” After another pause his voice softened for just a moment. “Don’t let what happened in the past consume you. Let what happened fuel you, or learn what you need to from it, but keep your head on straight. Otherwise you’ll just be letting the Vipers of the world continue running your life.”

Hyousuke twitched at Isamu's guess that he had history with them. Thinking on it, he supposed that it was inevitable that such a thing would be guessed - his was too violent a reaction for someone that was just concerned that they were spreading out. But that didn't mean that he had to confirm any of the details. He just kept his glare focussed on Isamu until he was finished, waiting while his fingers dug into his costume, twitching as he gripped his arms and tried to keep from lashing out. "Fine, I'll admit that we have a history." He grunted, standing up straight after prying himself from the wall. "But don't act like you've got any idea what happened between them and me. I don't go prying into other people's pasts like they're some half-baked character in a badly-written RPG. If it's fine by you, I'd like it if you returned the favour." Hyousuke wasn't shouting, but the venom in his tone hadn't faded much at all. Behind that visor, his eyes were cold and piercing, as if to try and get Isamu to back down and move away from him through force of will alone. It was going to take more than some advice to get past his shell. Not that Isamu had much of an opportunity to give any once Hyousuke had finished. Not moments after he had, Yuuto moved in past the door, nodding at Isamu before turning his gaze to Hyousuke. Even when it was hidden by those scarlet lenses, Hyousuke could feel the weight of his glare as it bore down on him, judging him, and finding him wanting. "Well?" Yuuto asked. Though his tone was flat, it was ice-cold - enough to send a chill coursing through Hyousuke's spine as he stared back, desperately trying to make himself seem bigger than he felt. "Got anything to say for yourself?" There was a pregnant pause between them, the air in the room thick with tension as silence reigned. Eventually, Hyousuke spoke, though it hadn't nearly the confidence or anger that he'd shown before. "No sir." "No, I didn't think you would." Yuuto sighed, and his posture seemed to fall. He looked less tense, but by no means was he relaxed. "Shadowkat, would you mind stepping out for a second? I need to have a word with your teammate. Alone." He had plenty to say to Hyousuke, of course. But not in front of his peers. The kid was already plenty humiliated, there wasn't any need to pile it on.

Isamu, despite his smaller size and his feline instincts, wasn’t one to be easily intimidated. Especially not when he had to keep such a tight grasp on his instincts and emotions to keep them from controlling him instead. He just weathered the other student’s creed, and had to admit to himself that he was, in fact, prying a bit. But he was, in his own way, concerned for his fellow hero-in-training, even if he wasn’t yet willing to admit to his own murky history to drive his point home. Instead he stood silently, letting Hyousuke get those words off his chest before starting his next retort.
“You’re right, I don’t know—” And then Yuuto arrived again and he cut himself off, straightening his posture just a little bit.
Hyousuke’s glare he could weather with no problem, but Lockon’s, however, was one he would have withered underneath. It was uncomfortable enough just being in the room with it, despite not being directed at him. He kept silent, letting the pro hero handle the promised reading of the riot act.
He nodded to Yuuto, “Yes, sir. I’ll… go secure the perimeter.” He jumped up onto a crate, taking the direct path to the exit, but paused there, turning halfway to look at Hyousuke one last time. “For the record, it’s not your past I’m concerned about.” He glanced briefly in Lockon’s direction before facing forward again, hopping and leaping between crates as he made his way to the exit and outside.
He noted the lack of the presence of the vandal. Police must have picked him up already, he reasoned. He shut the door behind him and then, out of deference for Hyousuke’s privacy, moved away from it to avoid catching any part of Yuuto’s lecture. He made his way around the perimeter of the building, looking for anything else that might be useful—alternate means of ingress and egress, more stashed paint cans, anything of the sort. And while he did… “Nicole, tell me what you can find for ‘The Vipers’ of Tokyo…”

Yuuto was under no illusion that Isamu couldn't listen in if he wanted to, but he trusted the student enough to assume he wouldn't listen in on what was supposed to be a more or less private lecture - or, at the very least, he'd make it seem like he wasn't listening. Regardless, once Isamu had left, Yuuto turned his gaze back to Hyousuke, arms crossed sternly as he looked down on the other blond, the silence between them growing thicker with tension by the second. Eventually, Yuuto broke it, though his tone wasn't angry. It was cold, yes, but it seemed to lean more towards disappointed than infuriated.
"I'm sure I don't need to tell you that what you did up there was reckless. Even you're not headstrong enough to deny that that was careless." Hyousuke's hands were at his side, clenched tightly into fists. He looked up at Yuuto, teeth grit before he summoned the courage to provide some kind of response. "It- I wasn't- I could've gotten them to talk, damn it!" Yuuto simply shook his head at this, and sighed deeply. "We'll talk about how questionable an interrogation method screaming and threats of violence are another time. They aren't the point here." "Then what is?!" "You, Hyousuke. You put yourself in danger there."
Yuuto paused to let the idea sink in, and continued a moment later. "None of us knew what kind of a Quirk they had, or what weapons they might've been able to use. And maybe you don't care. Maybe you think it's fine that you might get yourself killed. But what about the rest of us? You go charging in headfirst, and it's not just yourself that you put in danger. You endanger the civilians standing near you. The hostages they might be holding. The heroes you're fighting alongside. This isn't a simulation, kid - there's lives at stake out here. Everything you do has consequences."
Hyousuke fell silent, his gaze lowered once Yuuto had finished. He couldn't offer a response - what was there to say? He could defend his need for information all he liked, but there was no denying the truth in Yuuto's words. His mind was awash with thoughts, and he couldn't make sense of any of them. It was taking him all he had to stay upright and looking in Yuuto's general direction. The pro understood this at just a glance, however. Hyousuke wasn't the only headstrong brawler he'd taken to straightening out, and right now, he figured it'd be best to let the boy think on his actions and the lecture he'd been given. "Come on." He said, motioning towards the exit. "Let's go. We'll have someone else perform the sweep for now. You too, Shadowkat - let's get back to HQ."
