It was one of those perfect Saturday evenings, the day had been a good one, not too hot, not too cold, not a cloud in the sky. The small four foot seven figure of Yui Lynne currently occupied one of the sofas in the common room. Her fingers played an excellent melody from her guitar. Yui's was well known for her musical talents, perhaps even more than her particular Quirk. She clad in a pair of worn blue jeans, white socks and a white T-shirt which was decorated in all manner of musical notes. Her pink redish hair hung just shy of her shoulders, she seemed to be in excellent spirits, not to mention her singing voice being in incredible form this evening. It was rare for the students of 1-A to not hear Yui playing her guitar and or singing, or both. Fortunately, most of the time she either practised in a classroom at the school itself, or in the privacy of her sound proofed room. However, there were the days, she played in the common areas to entertain some of her fellow classmates. Perhaps it was fortunate for all their sakes that their petite classmate happened to possess an excellent musical talent.
"We are living our lives. Abound with so much information. Come on, let go of the remote, don't you know you're letting all the junk flood in? I try to stop the flow, double-clicking on the go, but it's no use, hey I'm being consumed. Loading loading loading, quickly reaching maximum capacity. Warning warning warning, gonna short circuit my identity ahhhhh." When Yui sang or played, or in this case both, she seemed to come out of her shell, no longer this shy quiet type, but someone who seemed confident, in control and happy. "Get up on your feet, tear down the walls. Catch a glimpse of the hollow world. Snooping round will get you nowhere. You're locked up in your mind." There was just something to music which made all her problems and cares simply melt away. Some might be forgiven for mistaking her for someone with a musical based Quirk, alas for Yui her musical talent was simply that, not a Quirk. "We're all trapped in a maze of relationships. Life goes on with or without you. I swim in the sea of the unconscious. I search for your heart, pursuing my true self." Were Yui not so shy socially, she would have attempted to find others who shared a love of music or a talent for playing it and attempt to form some manner of UA High band or club. She lost herself to the music, simply living, enjoying life, letting the sounds and her lyrics flow through her. The stresses of the week, pressures of life and homework simply vanished. "Get up, get up, it's time to get real. Can't control the steering wheel, outside is in a veil. Of mystery, won't get out so easily. We are living our lives, and we realize what's happening. Hey Brother, watch yourself. Grab your things, don't miss your chance. Find your own rhythm and dance your own dance."
Though she was generally a quiet and shy soul, Yui did actually quite enjoy living in dorms at UA High. Sure she missed her home and family, but the house always felt empty, it was too big and seemed to lack the people to fill it. It tended to be quite the source of embaressment to the small student that her parents were incredibly wealthy. Not everything student was able to afford the means to go home if they wished to, Yui however was able to at any time she wanted. Train, car, even be chauffeured if her parents desired another soul to pick up their daughter. Whilst Yui had never been the kind to throw her money around, the occasional slip up or mistake in conversation often embarrassed her. Though perhaps it lay in her overthinking every conversation, every reply and stressing herself out over them. She preferred music to conversation, it simply flowed out of her as natural to her as breathing was. "Be creative. Chart your course. You must know what lies ahead. Driving through the deep end of the ocean. Leaving obscurity." Yui tended to write her own songs, but could also play a fair number of different songs or failing that be able to sing to seemingly everything thrown her way. She even did request. "You are standing in the middle of another world. It's hard to feel your real emotions. You are smiling in a shirt wet with bitter tears. Let me help you find a place to call it home. We're all trapped in a maze of relationships. Life goes on with or without you. I swim in the sea of the unconscious, I search for your heart, pursuing my true self..." She finished singing and played on for a little longer before ceasing and letting the last echoes of the notes fade away. It was clear, whatever happened in regards to Yui's hero career, she would be able to have a successful music one.
