That smile came out big and wide again. Almost too big for his mouth. The young man was certainly brave and brusque even if he couldnt keep the shake out of his hand completely. THat in itself was pretty impressive. He relaxed and sat down to be less threatening. The boy had no idea what Youta really looked like, and this form was fairly tall and handsome, much more so than his standard tanuki look.
"Soon then if you wanted to. Yes, I am going to the high school here to become a hero. I grew up as an orphan in a monastery just outside a tiny village way up in the mountains. I dont actually have two hearts, just one. The monks used to tease me that I had two,one of a sweet pleasant boy and one of a wicked tanuki yokai out of legend. I cannot blame them. I do have a bit of a mischevious side. At times. But dont worry about it too much. And we dont have to be enemies, or even friends if you do not wish. Though I like meeting interesting people. And you are definitely interesting. I am guessing you like your privacy."

Kota nodded his head to a lot of things that Youta said. He was right about not wanting to be enemies. He may possibly be right about not becoming friends, Kota still wasn't sure of that yet. And he was definitely right about his privacy. Kota loosened up a bit. Youta's last scare has given Kota extra anxiety around Youta, but he was starting to get more used to him again.
Kota grabbed another paper and wrote a message on it, sliding it to Youta. He then leaned back into his corner, like he did before. Sometimes Kota wished he could talk, but he still thought it better that he couldn't, at least in the time being. His introverted self preferred the silence, but on rare occasions he sometimes wanted to use his social batteries. And that is obviously hard to do. Kota looked down at his message then up to Youta.
"You're right about me liking my privacy. This treehouse is supposed to be private, but I guess there's not a lot of ways to stop people like you from stumbling upon it in the forest. It's ok, though, because then I get to meet people like you. And look, I'm not sure if I want to be friends with you. I just met you. But I guess it wouldn't be too bad. Just don't be mischievous with me, okay? I'd like to see more of that pleasant half that you say you have, haha."

Youta chuckled as he read the note. Kota had actually written out "haha". It was in stark difference to the serious, questioning, unsure face the shy boy had on. He was starting to like this kid.
"Its not possible to be completely unseen unless you have some cloaking device or power. But a privacy sign will make sure most people leave this place alone. Of course in a city like this it you really can't make sure no one is around you. Not reliably anyway. It was easier up in the mountains far away from any sizable population. Still, people have a way of finding each other. If there were only two people in this entire world I bet somehow they would find each other."
He grinned again. The movement behind him, under his shirt was steady ad strong, back and fourth.
"I can't guarantee I won't be mischievous around you but I can promise not to aim it directly at you. Sort of like sneezing or coughing. I promise to turn my head and cover it up when it happens. Who knows you might find it to be fun."
He looked around again, looking at the walls and all the notes.
"There are a lot of words here. Do you keep them as a reminder or are they all important to you?"

The first part of what Youta said was kind of obvious. There was no definite way to keep people away, so Kota just had to deal with it unless he could find some help. But with his shyness and introverted personality, he doubted he could find out. His personal haven would sometime become public knowlegde.
Kota then thought about the other parts of what Youta said. He frowned at the part about being mischievous despite his wishes, although he shrugged it off. It was something Kota could deal with, just not all the time. Kota too had a silly side that he revealed to his most trusted peers.
And then the part about his writing. He did think they were all important, he wrote the stories and poems so that he could escape from reality and most things in it. Which is why he didn't want Youta here in the first place, but he couldn't blame him, Kota was the one that threw down the rope.
He wrote down a message. "I think that all of my pieces are important. I write them to escape from the real world." That was really all he had to say, so he ended it there. Passing it over, he shuffled awkwardly in his seat.

He blinked and looked around him again. All those notes, were stories? He had assumed they were conversations like the on they were having, written on a note. But to think he had written all this
"All these are stories? that is pretty magical!"
There was the sound of aw in his voice.
"I am sorry. I feel like I havent been respectful enough to this place. So you use your stories to escape? I can understand that. Though I guess I have been lucky in my life, even I need to escape sometimes. This place is your escape in several ways then. A hidden getaway, a fortress ad a place filled with magic doors."

Kota grinned. Youta understood how he felt, and that was good! He was beginning to grow lots more comfortable with Youta, and maybe share some of his closest stories with him. Still, Kota wasn't sure he was ready for a big jump like that. He took another paper off the ground and wrote a note on it, sliding it over to Youta.
"I'm glad you understand. Feel free to pluck off anything from the walls and take a quick look at it, although don't look under the bean bag. Those are some more personal papers I don't want you to look at. Although if you don't want to read, then I can talk about whatever."
