[attr="class","goodbye"] NOTES Rooooomaaaaaannnnceeeee!
It was late. She had to get home to make sure Kaito ate and did his homework. She had to also feed Kuro, her quirky cat. What a time to be stuck behind so much paperwork. Tsubame sat at her desk with a stack of papers on either side of her with a few scattered in front of her while she stared at them intently for what seemed like forever to her when really it was only about five minutes. She couldn't focus with how hungry she was and the incessant beeping on her vital gear started to annoy her due to it picking up on the lack of energy in her system. She called it energy, but really there was some scientific words behind her quirk that she didn't really understand. All she knew was that she had to eat to keep up her 'energy supply' or else her body would start consuming itself to keep her quirk satisfied. An empty convinience store bag lay opening on her desk; unfortunately empty from when she finished off the last of her snacks and drinks. They were not so good to keep her body satisfied, but they were a quick convenience for what they did help do: keep her going. Tsubame didn't need to use her quirk all the time, but she did since she loved how easily she could move. Animalistic and free was how she felt. Those around her tended to compare her to a cat with how she could move, bend, and twist.
Beep beep beep.....the noise seemed to get louder the longer she sat in silence. Irritation flooded her mind, making her reach up and grip the black band around her neck. She wanted to rip it off and toss it in the corner, but she knew that if she did that a certain person might come in and chastise her for it. Her hand lowerd back down to the pen in front of her. Since she got the gear, she allowed Hideki to keep an eye on the data. It was always good to have someone watch your back with things like this. She trusted Hideki with her life and with this she literally did. Absently she wrote his name on one of the papers in front of her with a slow flourish. Her closed fist rested on the side of her cheek while her amber eyes traced the name idly. Their being together had to remain in the dark for now due to the growing relationship between them. Kaito knew, of course, but anyone else just thought of them as close friends. Her own family didn't know the extent of their relationship, only that Tsubame often brings Hideki to the old shrine on family get togethers. Her brothers loved to try and challenge Hideki to physical challenges like arm wrestling and other things like that. Tsubame came from a very outgoing and physical type of family. Their quirks all had to do with their bodies and enhanced them to some degree or another. She has four younger brothers who love to tease Tsubame's close friends and love to spoil their nephew, Kaito.
Her eyes grew heavy with how tired she felt. Kuro should be accompanying Kaito at some point so she wasn't worried about the boy being alone. Down and down her body went until finally she rested her head on her crossed arms. Amber eyes closed as the constant beeping picked up. Just a small nap, right? It couldn't hurt.....perhaps she'll feel better afterwards.... One last moment of clarity came to her as she went to press the button on her vital gear that connected her to her emergency contact, which was Hideki. With her eyes still closed, she spoke softly and sleepily.
"Hideki....could you come here, I don't feel well.....I ran out of snacks...." It sounded childish, but for Tsubame this was an actual problem.

It didn't take but a mere moment for Hidekis phone to beep when Tsubame called for him - claiming she had a lack of snacks. He was about ready to brush off her claim and simply tell her to order something and have it delivered to the school, until he scrolled down a bit and saw her vitals. "Honey..." He said, in an almost annoyed way. "You need to keep better track of your bodies calorie levels, it's why I made your vital gear in the first place." He sighed, standing from his desk, moving to a nearby minifridge he kept in his office. Luckily for Tsubame, Hideki always kept a little extra food stashed away just in case this happened. "Just lay your head down and rest, conserve your energy and I'll be there in a minute."
He quickly stepped out of his office, locking it behind him, and began to move towards the her own. It was down the hall, given that he was her Vice Principal now. Smaller than hers, but with similar security measures taken. For instance, it was soundproof, and featured one way glass with a view of the schools courtyard. But that wasn't the point. Soon enough he'd arrive at Tsubames office, opening her electronically locked door with a thought - something he wouldn't normally do, given the implications, but his hands were full at the moment so he had no way to swipe his card. The scent of noodles would fill the room as Hideki placed down a freshly made bowl of instant noodles in front of her. It wasn't the best food, but it had enough nourishment that it should stabilize her for now.
"Eat up, dear." In the safety of her office, he could address her the way he wished to, instead of how they had to in public usually. Stepping around the side of her desk, he'd stand near her, beginning to eat from his own bowl he'd made. No point in making her eat alone, after all. He wouldn't say much to her until she began to perk up - knowing it was hard for her to keep a conversation going when she was low on energy like that. "Feel better?" He'd ask after a few moments, before pulling out his phone to check her vitals again, just to be sure she was doing better.

The voice that came through the small speaker on her vital gear made her smirk and then frown once more. She didn't like to look so weak. Tsubame knew that she had to be the strong Headmaster that students looked up to; a role model for the future heroes and graduates of this academy. Today had gotten away from her so much so that she hadn't noticed her own body telling her to refuel. If it wasn't for the vital gear around her neck, she probably would be trying to muddle through regardless of what she was feeling. When she was a pro-hero it was worse than now. Every day she would fall into her bed at home and not move for a good five hours before her partner or one of her family members came to check on her. Her need to be the strong one in the room was detrimental to her health even from a young age. Constant fights at school, using her quirk needlessly to get from point A to point B like some spider monkey; it all culminated in the woman she was today. However much she put up a show of being strong on the outside, she was a regular person who felt just as others did on the inside. Same problems just shoved into a jar with a tight lid.
"Yes, but I ignored it to do my tasks today," Tsubame's voice was low, almost a whisper, but she was sure he would hear her. Hideki always heard her, and she was grateful for him.
After what felt like an eternity for her, she heard the door click open and knew it had to be Hideki. Nobody else was around this late, at least in this part of the building, and everyone else just knocked. Her nose picked up the smell of instant noodles and her body gave a pang of hunger with some pain. An almost animalistic feeling came up in her chest as her amber eyes locked onto the bowl of noodles he set in front of her. Her hand was shaking slightly as she picked up the chopsticks greedily and began to scarf down the bowl like some hungry animal. Her body was shaking as she forced the food down and packed her mouth with more at the same moment. It tasted like heaven to her even though it didn't have as many nutrients in it that she really needed. Her body wanted more but the bowl in front of her had no more in it. It had just had food in it, right? Tsubame grew annoyed that she let herself show such weakness in front of someone, even if that someone was someone she knew looked after her closely. Her hand curled into a fist on the desk while the other moved over her face as if to hide from Hideki.
".....Thank you....Hideki...." Tsubame said quietly, her voice a whisper as she then took a deep breath to steady herself. Hunger continued to pang her, but the noodles sated the beast within for a least a few more hours. She was going to have to go grocery shopping tomorrow for sure now. As if to put up a continued front, to protect herself and be strong for everyone, she quickly changed her attitude and gave Hideki a grin with a wink. "Just what I needed, mon chéri, you always seem to pick me up and for that i'm grateful." She stood up, albeit shakily and with some trouble, and proceeded to give an extravagent bow. Her hands still shook slightly and her body felt like lead. The beeping on her vital gear slowed slightly, but did not let up. Still she wanted to show him she was fine and not to worry. She had to be strong and not let him worry, right?
"I guess on busy days I have to up my snack breaks and allowance. Thank goodness i'm the Headmaster! Were it not for the high salary, I would have to go back to being a pro-hero." She gave a laugh, but it was forced and not as good as her usual. More food was needed, or rest and then food, but food was always a way to make sure she could still keep working without stopping.

Hideki may have been surprised at the gusto with which Tsubame devoured the bowl he'd given her, but he'd seen it so many times now that it barely bothered him any more. She still looked rather weak and shakey, but at least, according to her vitals, she was stable... for the moment. She was far from peak condition, but at least she wasn't at risk of her quirk devouring her anymore. That gave them some time, time that Hideki would use to set his bowl on her desk and slide behind her as she turned to face him. He smiled at her, sliding his arms around her hips, hooking around her stomach as he stood behind her chair, leaning down and snuggling his face into her neck, smelling her hair. She smelled nice... she always smelled nice.
"You know I worry about you. You promised you'd take better care of yourself." Thankfully she kept her vital gear on at all times, but still. She joked about taking more snack breaks and he chuckled, still holding her close. "Maybe we should install some signs or snack machines around the school. I'm sure the kids would enjoy it." It wasn't a bad idea, but Hideki wasn't a fan of the idea of discussing business right now. Tsubame needed some real food, something to really refill her tank, so to speak, and Hideki wanted her all to himself for the rest of the night. He decided he was going to be selfish, and his right hand reached over to grab her left, lacing his fingers with hers, while he gently caressed her neck with soft kisses.
After a moment, he'd pull away. "Let's go to dinner. We haven't been on a date in a while, and you need food. I know a nice sushi place downtown, real crowded, I doubt we'll be noticed if we dress in street clothes. What do you say, babe?"

Her smile faltered slightly when he reminded her that she promised to take better care of herself. It was true, she had said that, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty she tended to push herself to the fullest to make sure everyone is happy and all tasks are done. Deep breaths came and went twice before she looked at him with a slightly sheepish smile. No matter what she couldn't hide herself from him even if she wanted to keep her own body faults to herself. That was why she gave him access to her body vital data. It was a gift to better take care of her and her body. Had she had this when she was younger it would have made things plenty easier. She felt his body around hers and shivered slightly. Despite her being the physically stronger out of the two of them, he was by far the strongest of wills when it came to things like intimacy. Tsubame was fine with being intimate, but she didn't quite know when to let go of her stubborn personality and let people close. Hideki had managed to get closer and closer to her over the years. A feat that was hard to come by when it comes to relationships for Tsubame. Her arm reached up to rest on the side of his head as she blushed against her dark skin.
"I just had so many things to do today. Meetings, training with students, more meetings, dealing with the press and hero agencies...." She chuckled at the list that mentally went on and on in her head even while she stopped speaking. She turned her head to kiss his head gently and leaned into his embrace. The idea of having vending machines on campus piqued her interest. She could defend the idea to the school board by stating that students whose quirks rely on calorie intake would benefit from them as well as maybe raising moral. However, the thoughts on business quickly went away when he started to kiss her neck and she closed her eyes to enjoy the embrace. Food and Hideki, she didn't know who she loved more, but she knew she couldn't live without either. The moment he said dinner her mind instantly went back into beast mode. Her amber eyes narrowed as she chewed on the idea for a mere moment before laughing and agreeing.
"I don't see why not. I can even bring home dinner to Kaito-kun and Kuro," Her thoughts always went to her son and her quirky feline companion. They too were part of her life fully and she couldn't live without them either. She squeezed his hand back and shivered again. "You certainly know what makes me agreeable, Hideki. Date and company might bolster my spirits. I don't think we should have many problems being seen this late in the evening, but even so...."
Tsubame pulled away to walk towards the closet in her office. She wore training clothes like usual, so the only thing she put on over it was a simple long black cardigan with a hood that had big cat ears. Absently she pulled her hair into a messy bun. Her tank top was dark red with a black sports bra underneath. Her pants were sweatpants with the academy logo on them, but it shouldn't be noticeable. In the mirror she lightly fixed the vital gear around her neck; it was a black leather band with a flat circular gold disk on the front. In some ways it reminded her of a cat collar, but she didn't mind. Tsubame was both beauty and beast in the same body. She turned to give Hideki a smile and walked over to hug him tightly as she pressed her face into his chest to breath in deep with his scent.

When she moved to kiss his head, his eyes closed as he savored the feeling of her lips on his skin. Soft and supple, odd for how rough her hands were from years of training. He wanted to stay like this with her, just holding her, losing himself in her scent and shutting out the entire world. Just the two of them, forever.... that would be nice. But there were others who needed them, and he couldn't just let them down, now could he? When she stood, his hands slipped out of hers while she moved to get dressed in some street clothes and he chuckled. He was hardly as famous as her, so taking precautions like that was less needed, but he had some clothes he could change into in his office.
She came to embrace him again, and his arms wrapped around her, holding her close while she snuggled into his chest. Though after a moment, he'd look down, moving his hand to her cheek and tilting her head up, leaning down to kiss her on her lips, his eyes closing. The kiss was passionate, and he had no intention of letting her go until they'd shared one for a few moments. He hadn't had much chance to see her in days, and he wasn't going to let this opportunity get away so easily. She had mentioned getting food for Kaito and he chuckled. "Kaito will have to be okay with reheating." He spoke, before his tone got low, and he leaned in to whisper into her ear. "Because I thought you and I could go to my place afterwards..."
He'd pull away after whispering some more suggestions into her ear that would be inappropriate for a normal office setting, but thankfully they were alone. He'd press his forehead against hers gently as he looked into her eyes, awaiting her response while he smiled. "Sound like a plan, ma chère?" His french... wasn't great. Tsubame had managed to teach him a few words here or there, but he mostly only used it when flirting with her. He knew how much she loved it when he actually managed to use some words in context right, and this seemed like a good opportunity.

Tsubame's face blushed deeply as she listened to his whispered suggestions; her breathing hitched slightly with how easily she was taken aback by the machine man in front of her. Her body shook, but not entirely from the effects of her quirk's downside. She breathed in deeply against him yet again and smelled pine and the faint smell of oil on him. He seemed to take her enjoyment of the outside to his scent as well. Despite their attraction towards one another, they couldn't be more opposites. Tsubame was reckless and impulsive with a love for physical activity and the outside. Hideki on the other hand seemed more akin to thinking things through and liked to work on his machines. Perhaps that was why she was so attached to Hideki like she was. He kept her grounded when she easily could be soaring the skies with no mind to the earth below her. He also seemed to keep her health in his best interest more than she did. A secret downfall of the Headmaster was that she would gladly run herself into the ground if it meant keeping her students safe and happy. Her hands clenched against his suit as he face snuggled ever closer. He made it very hard to keep her cool when he did this. Still though, he kept her life both lively and grounded. Their shared kiss had left her dizzy and wanting more, but she knew she had to get going to make sure her body wouldn't devour itself after it needed more energy.
She pushed against him while looking down. Her face was still blushing hard while she kept her eyes downcast. Her forehead was pressed against his now; her eyes glanced towards his own and it was as if there were magnets keeping their gazes intact. The animal was rising again inside Tsubame, but this time it was because of the challenge of locking gazes with Hideki. Part of her wanted to look away but the other part of her wanted to be dominate and keep looking at him. It took her a moment to snap out of her own thoughts of Hideki and food to understand that he had asked her how that plan was. He even used French, which made her smile up at him. Still, though, the thought of leaving Kaito to heat up leftovers did not sit well with her. A small whimper escaped her as she quickly covered his eyes with her hands and shook her head to clear her foggy thoughts. She cursed inwardly at how easily he could shadow her in an instant if she let him. Only Hideki seemed to have that power over her, though.
"While you get ready i'm going to call one of my brothers to watch Kaito-kun for a while," Tsubame said as she was already pulling her phone out of her pocket. She hated the thing, but it was a necessary evil that allowed her to keep in contact with her family in both Japan and France. The phone call was very quick and it was mostly in French due to the fact that she didn't want Hideki to know that her brother was grilling her about who she was going out with. He had correctly guessed it was Hideki and was soon teasing her. However, after a moment of laughter and some fuming from Tsubame, her brother had agreed to look after Kaito while she was out. She had also explained that she was close to passing out as it was and the reason for such. Her brother had gotten quiet, an understanding since it also happens to him and her other brothers, and told her to take as much time as she needed and not to worry about Kaito. She just prayed her house was intact when she returned.
She took a deep breath to steady herself. "I'm ready to go when you are, Hideki," Tsubame said as she buttoned up her cardigan and pulled on her hood. "Though we probably should split the bill since I can literally eat the entire restaurant." She laughed in her good humor. while her body wasn't feeling the greatest, her mind was better due to Hideki's interference.

If there was one thing Hideki could endlessly savor about Tsubame, it was the way she looked at him when they started getting... very intimate. The love and desire in her eyes lit a fire in his soul, and he always found it hard to keep his hands off her when she gave him that gaze. It didn't help that her face was flushed a deep shade of red, even against her dark skin, and her body was shaking in his arms. A bit from the quirk, true, but she shook more when he spoke. He couldn't help but have a sly grin when their foreheads locked, though she had to make sure someone watched Kaito for the evening.
So that was a yes, then.
Hideki chuckled a bit when she spoke to whom he presumed was her brother. He could hear the phone a bit - and make out some words here or there. His name, 'date', her brother teasing. He had the general gist of the conversation and he laughed when she put the phone away. She buttoned up her cardigan and as she pulled on her hood he slid his arms around her again from behind, moving to cup her cheek and turn her head to him, stealing another kiss from her lips. He'd pull her body into his so she could relax into him while they expressed their affection for another moment, before he let go. "Sorry, I just realized I hadn't told you I love you today, yet. I love you, Tsubame."
Turning to the door, he moved to open it before he began to lead them out. "Split the bill? If you want. Not like you're short on cash now, right?" He chuckled a bit. Her promotion had come with a large salary bonus - as had his, but he was still just under her, after all. "Should we take one of our cars, or the subway?" The subways were faster, but the car had less risk of people seeing them together. Hideki preferred the car personally, since it was more private, but it was ultimately Tsubame that needed to make the call.

She felt his arms around her once again. Her body reacted accordingly as she leaned back into him. His hand moved her face so that they were kissing once more. For a moment she lost herself in the bliss of his embrace. His arms held her tightly, and her body simply melted. Hideki's hands were so gentle, but yet so sure when he held her. Their kiss lasted a few moments before they both pulled away. Her blushed persisted on her face while he told her he loved her. A spark of joy came to her heart and head while he held her. This is where she wanted to stay but knew that this could only last a few more moments before her body once again reminded her of her time limit. How cruel the Beast was within. Her amber eyes held his as she whispered back to him her own words of love. "I love you too, Hideki. Thank you for always being there for me," A small shy smile lit her eyes while she gave him one last kiss before fixing her hood and walking towards the door.
The topic of what she had suggested came up again and she hid her face with her hand for a moment. "Well...yes, but what I meant was I could eat a lot....and I didn't want to put that on you..." She murmured mostly to herself. She ate to keep her body from caving to her quirk, but she sometimes felt embarrassed about it since it looked odd to some people. Within the school she was better about it, but when she went outside the walls of her school she tended to be more reserved about her eating habits. Tonight might be a different story, however. The topic of what they should take came up and snapped her out of her own thoughts once more. For a moment she thought about the subway, but since her body was already feeling weak she didn't want to risk passing out in public.
"Um....one of our cars would be preferable. I don't want to pass out on the subway. This way you don't have to carry me if my body does end up giving out." Before she left she grabbed her katana out of habit. She never left the school without it since it felt part of her person. She didn't expect trouble, just felt she needed to carry it with her. Her quirk didn't require a weapon, but her family trained in many fighting styles in order to be of help to people and keep their bodies in top shape due to their quirk natures. "Mine is....." Her mind stopped. It was still at her house. She had ran to school today. "Well mine is back at my house. I ran to the school this morning....again." Tsubame gave a sheepish grin to Hideki as she laughed.

He could feel her body relaxing into his with their shared kiss. If she wasn't so exhausted from overuse of her quirk, they may have just stayed like that. She told him she loved him too, and he couldn't help but smile. Though she quickly became embarrassed when he'd mentioned the food. He chuckled. "It doesn't bother me, Tsu." It never did. She ate as her quirk demanded, it wasn't like she was a glutton. Even if she loved food as much as he did. She asked to take his car and he nodded, though he frowned again when she mentioned her car was at home. She'd ran to school.
Again.
"Tsu..." He sighed. "No wonder your feeling so out of it. I keep telling you that you need to conserve your energy while at school. You're going to run yourself ragged." There was no talking her out of it, though. She'd just have to keep more snacks on her. If she'd just calm down and relax around the school some more, she'd have no issues with her quirk. But, Tsu was obsessed with her job and making sure the students had all their needs met. Hideki could respect that, but as the old saying goes 'One shouldn't light themselves on fire to keep another warm'.
He began moving towards the parking garage, making sure to stay next to Tsu in case she grew faint. Once he got within range, he used his quirk to command his car to pull out from its spot, and meet them. Hideki opened Tsus door with his quirk while he made his way to the drivers side, sitting down. In the back was a pack filled with his hero gear and his drones - a spare he always kept nearby, but he didn't think he'd need them. Once she was in, Hideki would reach over and lace his fingers with Tsus own with his free hand as he began to pull out of the school. "So, aside from needing to eat, how was work today?" He imagined it must've been busy, what with all the students getting active again now that the administration was finally getting sorted out.

Ah yes, the same old song and dance of them creeping up on the same argument they usually have when it comes to Tsubame's use of technology. Sure she could use her phone like she should and use her car to get to school on the daily......but she doesn't like to since she feels the need to just use her own body and ways to send messages and get around. She knows it annoys Hideki yet she does it anyway. Even when she was a student she rarely used her phone except to call her parents or family overseas, and she tended to get around on foot rather than take a car. Many a time did they have actual arguments about Tsubame's use, or lack of, of technology. She didn't feel good after those fights and tended to shut herself away a bit after them, but eventually she tried to make amends between them later on. Tsubame was raised in the modern world yet she found amusement and peace in doing things the old way. Sending Kuro with messages instead of texting (which usually sparked fights), moving on foot rather than her car, and not using any actual technology type gear for herself. The only exception was the collar that Hideki insisted she use to help her keep track of her body. As much as she hates the thing, she relented after she saw the look on his face. She didn't want to make him sad because of her.
"I'm fine, Hideki, nothing a little food and rest won't cure. Besides, the school is my main priority when i'm working. Since Wal---" She bit her tongue and couldn't say his name. It still stung and tasted bad in her mouth. She switched gears quickly. "Since I became the Headmaster I have many more responsibilities. The students rely on me and I cannot let them down. Besides, I can't turn down an offer for a spar session against my favorite student. He surprised me recently." Hyousuke Suzuki ended up becoming a student she was looking forward to see his future and how he grows.
Tsubame got into the car once it came around. Before she knew it her hand was laced together with Hideki's own. Her amber eyes closed as she took a deep breath to steady herself. She felt her body weaken still, but not as bad. Thoughts of sushi danced in her head while she thought about her day. It wasn't very eventful, no more than usual, but she still had a pleasant one.
"Mountains of paperwork aside, it was pretty relaxed. There were a few students who decided to test the limits of the teachers they were with and I was called to help. Needless to say they did not appreciate how hard I can make my bones when they throw punches." Tsubame chuckled as she remembered when Hyousuke punched her in the face and she wasn't fazed by it since she hardened her bones. Man that was such a time ago now. "I then ran errands around the school in a timely manner. We should really install better roofing materials on the office buildings. The board asked me to look into the repairs to the training grounds and test them out. We need to up the budget for that by the way...." The Headmaster laughed. This wasn't even her busy day. "However, I did manage to get to train with a student who I have been keeping an eye on recently, so I have to work extra hard to make a good example for him."
