So, as expected (and they damn well should be), the kids had started to plot in front of the teacher. Which was fine, he wasn't really listening anyway, instead rummaging around a pocket at the side of his suit to try and find a treat to feed Bacon so he would stay somewhat still. Where was it? he could feel a few things in there but... Ah. There we go. He managed to pull out an apple shaped biscuit looking thing along with random other things such as bits of paper he had been given by staff (one was this week's teaching timetable, folded into a small square) that fluttered to the floor. Taking no mind, he gave the treat to Bacon, patting him with his weaker hand. That was around the time that a small black haired girl walked up to him...to tell him she was leaving. Huh... ... .. . He didn't really even have time to respond properly before she marched off and finally his thoughts caught up. Crap.Did he...do it again?? Crap crap crap... crazy sun lady was gonna KILL him dead...A small frown crossed his usually calm features, and he turned to the nearest child in front of him, who was blonde. Ok, they were all blonde. (Most of them.) But this one was easy. This was Alise's kid, he could tell because it looked like her. The way he talked, the way he moved, the fluffy hair that kind of looked tasty, that really uncertain way he held himself, and how he kind of had a perma sad face. Yep. This was Alise's boy. Couldn’t be anyone else’s. "Alise's kid. Who was that girl?" "O-oh...um... Himura Futaba-san..." Oh. A Himura. So there were two of them, huh? So Himura Small seemed to be the exact opposite of Himura Large who he also taught, who was trying to become the next great wall of justice or something like that. Itsuka didn't think it an issue the older boy was like that just... he did seem a little too serious that one day he might just crack or something. But as a student he was pretty capable and confident and honestly would do fine. He was aware of their parents too, and he could only think the girl developed some kind of complex. Oh well, being a hero wasn't a job suited to everyone, and just doing it because your parents are just didn't cut it at best, and would risk other's lives at worst case so it was probably for the best. "Mmm...ok thanks." He replied as he dug into his pocket again, pulling out a bright yellow plastic device that was shaped like a large smiley face, complete with the print of the face on the back. He tapped a button. The small digital screen read:
0 Red 4 Yellow You are doing fine!
|
And a large happy face on the screen. It was even animated! Okay no, he was fine. A sigh of relief escaped his lips and his frown relaxed to his usual deadpan expression. Probably. He hoped. If he had upset another student by saying some prohibited words again... the head of heroics would...put him through all that again. A thought that made the former pro hero's blood run cold. He pressed another button to save the reading incase he had to plead his case later. he hadn't said anything wrong. He hoped. He had this item made because he wasn't sure anything he said was all that bad but apparently they had received more than a few complaints from parents about how he spoke to students and... he was still recovering from the horrors of the eccentric head of department from last time. Well, with that worry out of the way,he guessed the kids had enough time to do whatever they had been doing now. Wow that big guy was super loud... "So you guys ready? Time's up... start." He said as his good eye scanned over 1-A, wondering if they were going to be any better than last year's 1-A.

Raphael nodded, listening to everyone's plans. He had been a little surprised at Futaba's sudden exit, but he was aware that the other girl had been struggling with herself for a while now, and well...if he had any other option... he may have done the same, or never been here in the first place. But now he was...he had to try his best to try and support everyone else and work with the task on hand. If he couldn't respond to the lesson now, how was he ever going to be able to be a hero like his parents? When Itsuka addressed him as "Alise's son" it made him blink in surprise. Had the man remembered raphael from all those years ago? He couldn't think of any other reason, as he was aware a lot of people said he resembled his father, and no one had said....he looked anything like his beloved mother before. If his teacher was seeing him as his mother's son....he really couldn't mess this up. "Okay, I'll...start with a orange song, then switch to green when Taka-san needs support." He replied, opening the bag he had with him now, taking out a headset and a belt that looked like something out of kamen rider with small speakers attached to the sides of his waist. After it had been secured, he pulled out two small orbs that when powered on, seemed to float near him. They were another set of speakers that could be controlled by controls on the belt. "O-oh...I...I'm sorry I've never...explained my quirk to anyone else have I..." Infact, even Hone may not know what Green and Orange songs meant. He was an idiot. Why was he so bad at communicating?? "Um... meaning... I will sing a song that should boost everyone's speed and attack output for a while to start with...and change over to aiding with pain and recovery to support Taka-san's quirk..." He explained sheepishly. "I hope that will work for everyone." His usually quiet voice floated around them, much louder than usual. Okay, well, at least his support gear worked! Not that he had any doubt on the support company that had produced it, but it was more....well, it was him. Things just went wrong, usually. You can do this, Raphael!!The blonde took a deep breath, straightening his back on the exhale. His shoulders tensed, and as he opened his eyes, he looked a little different to the usual quiet, reserved, shy person he was at the core. It was his trained face, the one worthy of being a Seraphine. "So you guys ready? Time's up... start."Upon hearing those words, he flicked the switch that connected to the hovering speakers and music started to flow from it. Counting himself in with his mind, he thought about all his classmates present as he started to sing.
We can change things more to the positive, Let's go on believing that, Even if someone had laughed at you, I won't do such a thing It's a new start, However "you" may be, you can always shine Uncertainty, and hope, Oh try yourself
Please! Let my words reach everyone's heart!!
He imagined sparkling orange energy, forming at his chest, rising up through his throat, riding his voice as words spilled from his lips.
I was so captivated, I didn't realise time passing by, But we've gotten this far, haven't we? The orange sky we happened to look up at, We are where we dreamt to be, aren't we The worries that weighed us down, The tunnel of darkness that seemed to go on...

Jun's eyes bugged out when Fu-chan left. Well...so much for that. Sitting cross-legged, he took out his two wrist grappling hooks that looked like oversized watches. Well, that made things a lot different. He listened. And gave his last opinions after glaring at Daiki to just shut up and stop being stupid. Seriously, what a way to make yourself look like a fool. "Yeah, I'd like to keep Ryuuga in reserve, when she has the likeliest of chances to hit with her few shots then. In this case, when he counters me. I think we're all in agreement with Satou being on pig duty, but back up should be Ryuuga...did anyone else notice how the pig was nuzzling her leg?"
Then it was time to go. Oh shit. Well, a villain wasn't going to wait around he guessed. Giving them all a thumbs up, he darted over to the guy's blind spot, and fired four fire balls, three aimed at the legs, and the other aimed at the elbow of the free hand. Normally, his fireballs were strong enough to dent car doors. But Raph's song had an...effect on him...increasing his quirk's strength. It felt...odd, but not unpleasing. Hopefully when the teacher was focused on him, Satou and Isamu can get the pig and run, with Ryuuga covering him, and Taka adding onto the pressure. But the real tell will be how the teacher responded.
Enhanced physical capabilities with support equipment, and these were new? This was gonna be really tough...

Itsuka had been petting Bacon to try and pacify him when Jun started to move, and he supposed it was time to actually do some work. He closed his eyes for a split second, before he opened his eyes again, a flurry of colours sparkled in both his eyes as he activated his quirk, he could feel stability returning to his limbs, his body straightening out as the darkness and silence on his right side cleared to focus and full sound again, as if someone had flicked a switch back onto his eye and ear.
The black haired man reacted to the fireballs far faster than they were travelling, or maybe he had just anticipated them coming from the direction that had been his blind spot. Okay, so a fire quirk user. Or something like that.
Cool.
So, Small Blonde was an emitter. Probably. Itsuka kicked off on his feet after he had dodged, doing a perfect flip in the air (keeping his claw closed gently around bacon so he didn't fall off) before swiftly landing by Jun's side- it was a pro of being small. He was pretty light and agile, even with the gear on. With speed that was so swift one would miss it if they blinked, his right hand came throwing a punch aimed at the blonde teen's jaw. If it landed, it should knock him out, which was the aim.
He'd get nagged at by SecretKeeper if he went around being too rough on the baby students, so to try and demobilise them as gently as possible... was going to be a challenge but that punch didn't have his quirk concentrated at his arms so it should be alright... right? He had enough of being nagged at by the man when they were both pro heroes in the past and sometimes ended up working together. Was it really HIS fault he had no secrets to trigger the other man's quirk? Wasn't honesty a good thing?
"...mages at the back. RPG basics, kids."
He said in his monotone, jumping back a few incase someone else decided to jump at him.

Post by Taka Hone on Mar 3, 2019 22:54:48 GMT
Taka listened to everyone's response to his plan, a small smirk crossing his lips at the fact that everyone seemed to agree with his version of the plan. Even if they knew next to nothing about him, or even the fact he'd not seen anyone's quirks in action yet, he was able to put something together based purely on what information he had gathered from Jun's plan, and improve upon it. As Ryuga stepped forward and explained the limited uses she had of her quirk, Taka made a mental note. If they were going to be working as a team, he would need to keep track of everyone. Everyone had their role, but if one piece fell out of place, the whole thing could collapse. Still, a contingency needed to be created for Hoden when she had ran out of her quirk. Immediately Hone began considering options...
Then Daiki spoke, and the smirk quickly left his lips to look wide-eyed and slack jawed at the students attempts of suggesting his own version of events. Taka stared on in disbelief at his speech, and his "explanation" of attempting to fool the professor did little to lift his fears. This was the man who was, unquestioningly, the most physically gifted person in the class, and yet he acted like a moron. However, the glare given to him from Jun seemed to display the...questionable...attempts at fooling their teacher were frankly, not appreciated.
As Raph stepped forward and explained how his quirk worked, Taka gave him a reassuring nod, listening to his sheepish explanation, before suddenly Itsuka went time's up. Immediately Jun have a thumbs up and launched into action, as Seraphine began singing his tune. And as he did, Hone closed his eyes for a moment.
Taka had gained some form of comfort from listening to Raphael sing. He had heard him practise many times due to them having rooms across the hallway from each other, however, unlike those tunes that put him at ease this one was different.
The words hit his ears like war drums. He could feel his pulse quicken, he could sense the electricity running through his nerves, he could feel his breath become deeper.
And when he opened his eyes again, barely a blink had passed as Taka's eyes looked over to see Meka rushing towards Tomoshibi, dodging the fireballs coming from him. it had become clear that the teacher's "Blind Spot" was a little less blink then first anticipated, however, with Jun's actions, he had created another opening. Clearly, if Ryuga was going to struggle to keep up the pressure due to the limited amount of uses of her quirk, then a three-prong tunnel attack wasn't going to work...
...But a pincer attack would.
Swiftly, Taka shot straight ahead, using the small speed bump from Raph's song to get to Itsuka's former position. And just as predicted, after making an attack against Jun, Meka attempted to create space by retreating backwards. Taka couldn't see if Jun had been struck or not, but now Hoden had more options with where to position herself and what to do, be that backing up Tomoshibi, or attempting to go after the pig.
Well...now or never...
The folded up sleeve covering Hone's stump suddenly disintegrated, as a large, dense bone spike ripped out of it. Even Taka was surprised by it. He could only theorise that Raph's quirk had caused the calcium in his body to flow faster around, becoming a lot more pliable to use. However, if he could bet on one thing, it was that he was probably going to be feeling that one as soon as the singing stopped. Still, no time to contemplate such things, there was a pig to save.
"I was more strategy then RPG!" Hone called out as the teacher jumped backwards towards him. He silently cursed himself for the fact that that phrase sounded a lot cooler in his head, but it was too late now! Hone pulled his spike back, before lunging it towards the back of the Professor, aiming away from the arms as not to accidentally hit Bacon. He knew the chances of actually reaching the skin underneath all that metal with his spike were slim...
...but getting through enough to get some circuitry however...
(NOTE: Due to Raph's Song of Vigor, Taka's spike is now twice as long, strong, and durable. As such, any side effects he would suffer now come in half the time.)

Itsuka could hear Raphael's song and wondered what his quirk was. Well, based on the fact the blonde was allowed to be here and the fact he answered to his makeshift name, he guessed he was a Seraphine who also had a fitting quirk to be permitted carry that brand name around over his head. What was Alise's quirk again? Healing. Oh yeah. Healing words. She could basically make her words reality, calm people down, heal them just by saying "It's okay.".
Didn't explain why the kid was singing as no one apart from fire ball chibi needed healing at the moment and the singing started way before that. Most obvious was he inherited all the stuff the stuck-up-angel-guy had, but his signature move was...uh... that horn thing. If it was, he'd have used it already to suppress him. Must be a combination of the two, a combo quirk or something like that. He guessed he would have to watch the kid a little longer before deciding what order he'd attack. He was in the middle of debating all this in his mind when he felt someone behind him and made him whirl around, his eyes catching a figure with a blade...no some white thing coming towards him, clearly aiming for his torso. He held out his hand, and the moment he dexterously caught the thing that kinna felt like a bone, his grip became incredibly strong as he managed to stop it from getting to him. Wait, this was the guy's bone. He was attached to it. Okay, this was Skele-guy. "...but RPG basics are the foundation of teamwork." He said flatly before he swung Hone sideways by the bone he was holding onto, before flinging him as hard as he could with enough force to send him crashing into a building on the right.

His fireballs were avoided easily, but Jun still reacted fast. His pretty face was still grazed, almost immediately forming a large red mark and a bruise there. He still stumbled to the ground, and soon after let off twin bursts of flames, hopefully scorching the teacher's legs without trailing up to harm Bacon. He did a front flip and landed thirty feet away, spinning on his heel to face him. Just in time to see him catch Taka and toss him aside. RPG basics? Fuck that. He pointed at a light pole, and let off an arc of lightning. Which then "bounced" off that towards the man's right shoulder. Two more fire balls were also fired, aiming towards the left arm.
He concentrated electricity at the elbow of his left arm. Forming a ball. He charged. If Sensei charged with him, he'd fire off a fire ball at each leg, then his Zap attack at point blank range. Or if the guy again went for his head and moved behind him, he'd fire off the Zap right away at the gut. Either way, he'd fire off his grappling hook at a light pole nearby, to reel himself in and up. And flip on top of it and watch. Just waiting for the others to join in.
His zap was one of his stronger attacks, possessing the same force of his fireballs, and would cause surface electrical burns if it hit flesh. It had a range of twenty-five yards though, a fairly good range. Still, he better lay off the electricity for now. And hopefully Taka will recover quickly enough, and the others join in soon.

Post by Daiki Satou on Mar 5, 2019 20:02:13 GMT
In the moment things really, truly mattered, where jokes couldn't be afforded? They just weren't there. The boy at the start of the fight was not the one before it. Instead his expression wrote of determination, problem solving. Despite the plan he was actively trying to find a chink in the armor of the Villain since he had been tasked with rescuing the kidnapped animal. If he saw this as anything less than a Villain terrorizing little animals he wouldn't be able to take it seriously enough. The 'Villain' sure as hell treated them like they were genuine Heroes. This was serious, as all Heroics must be to be done right. He watched as Jun narrowly avoided a strike to his face, his stance spread and ready to pounce at a moments notice. If that was a hit it'd complicate things, but he had people he could rely on, at least for now until he's able to shoulder the weight of the world.
Then he saw Taka sent out a bone of sorts towards the Villain. If that connected it could be lethal; perhaps not the approach he would take personally, but nonetheless it wouldn't matter seeing as the attack was intercepted. The large mass of bone was sent flying yet, was grabbed before it could make purchase. Using it as a point of momentum the Villain went to whip Taka towards a wall. No. The 'Villain' here was fully immersed, who knows what the person playing that role had really been through, but regardless they were seeing the product of it. If they couldn't overcome this challenge, they couldn't overcome the weight of a society constantly attacked by those enabled and made capable because of their quirks. Absolutely not, he couldn't let someone go down when there was something he could do about it.
Absolutely not.
In a moments notice the stance dictating tension and preparation became a blast of energy. The boy moved in a way that surprised even him due to Raphael's singing. His feet felt like they made purchase alongside light, moving at incredibly speeds and blurring his shape. Ground tore in his wake as he burst through the battlefield, but even then could he make the distance? Taka was far to begin with, and he was thrown even further. Unless he did everything he could, optimized his approach and rapidly adapted to his increased abilities he would either miss by going too short. He'd make a sloppy catch, or some other mistake. In Heroics you could be as good as you wanted, but the moment you make a mistake someone can die.
Absolutely not.
The determination in his eyes, he was lighting up like a Christmas tree, lines racing across his entire body in a beautiful bio-luminescence. Daiki leaped. This was it, and the idea was just crazy enough that it might work. About thirty yards off the boy leaped and turned his mass so that his feet landed against the wall, going so fast that with the right angle and the right movement, only capable of being pulled from a moment as opposed to pre-planning, he began to dash alongside it. Losing height over time, it wasn't perfect, but it was enough to line up Taka's thrown trajectory and his own. As the other student came flying in Daiki opened his arms, entirely cushioning Taka but in the process, getting banged up. The force wasn't just mitigated and instead with Taka in his arms, Daiki slammed into the wall at not just a straight angle but instead a grind flowing with his forward momentum. He grit his teeth, letting out a grunt as rubble kicked up into him, cuts formed along the arm partway in the wall plowing through it. Eventually he'd pull away, causing them both to spin out and away from the wall, Daiki landing on the ground and skidding to a halt with Taka in his grip. Collecting himself and shaking off the pain, he'd speak towards Taka.
"Don't worry, you can go all out. I'm here for you."
His voice wasn't jokes, it wasn't stupidity. It was downright serious with an astounding level of determination. His eyes looked passed Taka towards the Villain. He wondered just what he saw in that moment. Did he recognize the message he sent? It didn't matter one way or another. Daiki gripped his fists together, shifted his stance and prepared to burst to intercept again. Explosive power locked beyond unwavering temper and patient. A little too refined of an analogy, but like a Samurai and his sheathed katana, ready to strike or parry at a moments notice. He took the time to further analyze. Whether you're the best or the worst, that's generally dictated by the potency of ability. Sometimes that can be intellectually grounded, but often time even the best can make mental mistakes. In the position of the underdog if he wanted to save the victim, he would have the exploit any slip that the teacher made. Anything he didn't account for. For now he'd continue on his tasked assignment, staying true to the plan.
A moment of true definition, finally. The boy was a lot of things, but when it really mattered?
He was there.

The ex pro hero looked round to see the small blonde boy was still standing, not really having time to see if Hone had actually hit the wall. He was aware some fireballs had almost hit himself and Skele-guy just moments before, so where did that come from? Huh.So fireball chibi had somehow avoided the punch from connecting properly as intended. Weird. He was pretty sure it would be a pro hero level feat to intercept an attack the kid wasn't even expecting, but well, there was also sometimes fluke luck. Oh well."Chibi, you fire stuff too much, calm down. Aim better. Your aiming is really bad." Itsuka said in his monotone as he felt heat whoosh past his arm as two fireballs narrowly missed- he stayed still to prove his point. Then he heard that crackle of electricity... oh wait fireball chibi was actually a dual quirk user. maybe he should be reading those files, huh? Nahhh, it was always fun to find out quirks as you go. That and he had no idea where his copy of this year's 1st year student files had gone. The latter point being the main one. "And don't do straight charges like this..." He sighed as a soft whirring sound was heard when Jun reached around 10 meters before coming into contact with Itsuka who was, still standing rather still. Without warning the metal triangular, spear head shaped thing that was attached to the "tail" on Itsuka's suit whipped round to his front, smacking across the advancing boy's legs to clothesline sweep him off his feet, before the tail like harpoon head jabbed downwards, aiming for the boy's solar plexus if he was on the floor. "Cos that happens." That was when he heard a combination of crashing sounds and jumped back a few bounds, half distracted by Bacon getting restless and wanting to be free of his claw while it seemed Skele-guy was caught by Loudmouth aka blonde boy no.2. Oh.
Nice catch. To be honest he was pretty impressed the big kid managed to catch the other like that, he hadn't seen what was exactly happened but...must be some kind of speed and strength and durability quirk of some kind or a combo of all 3 OR interchangeable (like his own) or something like that as he was pretty sure a normal kid wouldn't have been able to catch Skele-guy and not been knocked out themselves from the impact (if anything, the terrain around them showed this) as the bald student wasn't exactly...small. Another loud squeal from the porcine pet made Itsuka sigh. "Alright, alright when we get home I'll feed you an apple. The ones that are honey veined...deal? Just stay still for a few more minutes for me..." Sparkling multi colored eyes glanced over the teenagers- what now?

Post by Ryuga Hoden on Mar 5, 2019 23:26:48 GMT
The blonde girl would stare at Ace Pilot carefully. Watching intently, as he pulled up... something? Plastic? Was he worried about Himura-san too? It seemed coincidental, but maybe there was no correlation. Ryuga felt herself trying to understand what the device was. What was with these weird gadgets? It reminded her of that weird scientist g- Oh. That makes sense. Soon after, Ace Pilot said that time was up, and to start. Seraphine-san began to sing, a song that would increase attack output, and speed, as he had explained. Ryuga would stay back for now, and wait for a moment to strike, Tomoshibi-san telling her to stay back. Ryuga agreed with that mindset. Her Quirk was built for more one-hit knockouts, but for prolonged usage. Tomoshibi-san continued to impress her. But as he would rush forward, he watched as Ace Pilot dodged perfectly, as she herself began to rush forward herself. And... Ryuga stopped. As Tomoshibi-san and Ace Pilot fought, with an almost cute comment about RPGs, Hone-san came in next, both giving Ryuga thoughts on where to go. She attempted to look for the proper opening. More fireballs, a stomp from Hone-san, and... bones? But still, no opening. If Seraphine-san's quirk buffed her own, she needed to make damn sure not to hit Bacon. The thing about it was, if Ryuga accidentally hit Bacon, she would get them all expelled. Every step had to be calculated. While Tomoshibi-san and Hone-san would handle Ace Pilot, she had to be DEAD sure that she didn't hit Bacon. She could feel the power, but she wasn't versed in holding back. Hone-san dealt with bones, or perhaps calcium, Tomoshibi-san more with fire and... electricity? There was control, something she had to be careful with. There's nothing she could do to keep Bacon safe. If she got knocked out early, she would be effectively useless. She bit on her bottom lip, looking for the opening, fiddling in her jacket pocket. Hm. If the pig was in his claw... Then Ryuga needed to find a way not to hit the claw. She needed to go around it. Which meant... confidence flared. Pulling out of her pocket, she pulled out a small capsule, and began to drink. As she finished, she tossed the capsule to the ground. Keeping the contents in her mouth as long as she could, she began to run. You get one shot, Ryuga. She needed to make this count. Messing up meant expulsion, so she needed to get close to Ace Pilot without hurting Bacon. Rushing forward, her mouth full, and her orange eyes watering, she rushed in, not attempting to throw her fists forward for a punch. No, this was different. She needed to get right at his face. Right at his body. Not breathing was murder on the lungs, especially with drinking straight from the source, but she would still hold her breath. Gulp. If she was allowed to get right next to Ace Pilot, she would attempt to push the claw away, and right when they were face to face, her lungs began to burn, her eyes watered crazily. Ryuga opened her mouth, cupping one hand over her lips, the one that did not push the claw away. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"Out ignited the fire of a dragon, focused, or attempted to be focused. Her hand would suffer some burns, as the inferno of molten flame erupted, all point-blank aimed at Ace Pilot and anyone that was behind him. If she was deterred from this though... if she was pushed away, or otherwise, she had already gulped. She had to release it. She would be forced to aim up. The drawback was much more intense too. It felt like fifty flames had all sparked all at once, and her eyes were watering hard. She wouldn't be able to speak after that one. Not for a few minutes. The pain on her hand was intense, as well as the pain in her throat. It was almost too much. Raphael's Quirk was a blessing and a curse, it seemed... didn't make him any less cute.

It was all Isamu could do to keep from facepalming as Daiki offered his ‘plan’ to the rest of the group. “Meka-sensei can enhance his hearing,” he hissed, “so that really wasn’t necessary.”
He kept an eye on the teacher, trying to see if he could discern quirk activation or usage, anything that could give them an edge in the upcoming drill. He made a mental note of both the odd-looking device and the fallen pieces of paper on the ground. He also made note of the fact that he didn’t seem to know any of their names, and probably not their quirks or gear either. Surprise could be on their side… then again, they still didn’t know what the support gear the teacher wore did, so that one cut both ways.
Then the teacher told them prep time was up, and that was that.
Raphael led them off with some sort of support quirk. Songs and music, interesting… in fact, those speakers could be quite handy, depending on theirs and Raph’s capabilities. Remote control speakers… he made a mental note to follow up on that later.
Then he watched June take his first volley and… there was the moment their teacher activated his quirk, judging by the shift in posture. Itsuka quickly dodged and countering the first volley. Isamu frowned. That was… distressingly fast. Meka had little trouble countering Hone’s attack, and then…
Well, that was a pretty surprising performance from Daiki. Isamu made a very small upwards adjustment of his assessment of that classmate. Speed and what had to be some kind of durability to keep from severely injuring himself from that impact. He was an idiot, he was still sure, but he may actually be capable.
Still, he had to take some sort of action, and diving into the middle of fireballs and spikes was a surefire way to get himself toasted, and a head-on attack wasn’t really his style, anyway. Not against this caliber of opponent, anyway. But if a direct attack wouldn’t work, what did he have? Unconventional tactics.
Hoden’s massive gout of flame—holy crap—was as good a time as any to make his own move. He used the benefit of his enhanced speed to dive for the dropped papers, skimming them while Meka was still dealing with the latest attack and grinning. This was a small gold mine. He turned to face the teacher, papers in hand. If he was still standing—hell, if he was still alive after Ryuga’s attack, he’d make his move.
Clearing his throat, he started reading out loud, trying to get the teacher’s attention. “8:00 AM to 8:30 AM. Staff meeting. Itsuka, make sure you bring your reports tomorrow or else. 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Quick Control with 1-A. Don’t make anybody cry.” If he got the attention and it looked like the teacher was moving towards him, he’d take off running, heading for the nearest building to get inside, going for cover where he could hopefully use his small size, stealth, nimbleness, and weapon pods to buy the others some time to regroup. And if he got caught, well… he’d just have to be ready to strike any open spot he could with his taser gloves. Chest or upper arms would be best, but even hitting the gauntlets or visor he could hope to try and short the equipment out or disrupt it temporarily.

Okay, Jun was irritated. His aim wasn't that bad. Ok, maybe some of his shots were. But the electricity did nothing to the armor. Well, that was somewhat expected, but still a little bit of a pain. Fire still seemed to be his best bet. His legs got tangled up, making him trip and completely miss his Zap attack. But in the other hand, his normal bright yellow flames turned dark orange and was concentrating into a ball that was actually giving him a sunburn. He fired the ball at the incoming harpoon thing, hopefully melting it in half. Nova could melt a two foot think wall of reinforced concrete. But with Raph's songs coursing through him, it's strength was increased. But so was the side effects, much like with Zap.
Rolling away, he fired his wrist grappling hook onto the lamppost and reeled himself in. His right hand was clearly sunburnt fairly badly, already peeling in places. He also noticed his left shoulder was a little sluggish. That wasn't good. He slid down the lamppost and watched as Ryuuga let loose the dragon. He thought his flame throwers were impressive, but that was incredible.
Isamu dived for some papers, earning a confused look from Jun. Then he started to get close and started to read them. Making the boy smile, he moved himself at an angle to get a clear shot to grab the pig with his grappling hook. It should snatch the cute, terrified piece of food without hurting him. Just as the teacher moved to get to Isamu, he'd fire it at the pig to hopefully snatch it and throw it at Ryuuga, moving between her and the teacher.

We can change things more to the positive, Let's go on believing that, Even if someone laughs at you, I won't do such a thing Even if the path you chose seems like a long and winding road right now, Just keep walking straight onAs Raphael sang, his large lilac orbs scanned the field to keep up with what was going on- it all happened so fast, quirks being activated and blurs of movement as his classmates exchanged attacks with their teacher. Ofcourse, with his actual quirk being non combative, all he could do was stay back and make sure he didn't get in the way and do what he could- sing. However he couldn't help but wince whenTaka was grabbed, and he could only watch as the shorter man effortlessly tossed him aside. He was preparing to go and check on the other teen when a blur of movement followed by a loud crash made the blonde look away for a moment. Dust flew and it took a moment for Raphael to open his eyes again. Daiki had caught the new student. A slight glad smile spread on the boy's lips as he let out the breath he had been holding for not much conscious reason, before he switched back to being on alert mode. Observe, check the status on your teammates... It seemed they needed some minor healing in the grand scheme of things, he coul- He didn't have time to switch his mindframe as more combat broke out, firstly from Jun then...what was Ryuga thinking of…- The answer to his question came rather soon in the form of a large eruption of flames. He realised he had never spoken to most of his classmates about their quirks, which was probably a large fault on his behalf. He had seen some briefly but to be able to support them to the bets of his ability...he needed to know. That was his failure, but he would fix it very soon. His eyes went to the girl's hand- it looked charred. He needed to switch right now- the music was getting to the bridge too, so it was a perfect time to switch. Trying to clear his mind of all the negativity, Raphael straightened out his back and started to imagine the orange light turning green- a soft, calming, assuring colour that would fill his whole chest and be carried out of his body in words... The world we couldn't see as children, Is slowly coming to view , welcoming us Rather than worry about the future we can't see, Let's get hyped for what may happen, with me It's a new start, however you may be, you can start new, Uncertainty and hope, Oh Try Yourself

Itsuka pulled out another treat, with more ease this time as he could actually use his hand when he heard someone approaching him and glanced up. It was one of the girls. He tensed a little, anticipating some kind of attack as one didn't just charge at another without having some plan. She looked like she was gonna cry. What the hell... probably something to do with her quirk. Shifting his quirk over to his reflexes, he kept his eye on the girl as she grabbed his arm. Okay yeah she swallowed something and she was still holding her breath. She was going to spit something out. Usually meant something bad. Like acid or fire or water or whatever. Wasn't there a villain a while ago who spat fire? Some dragon guy. Yeah...stuff like that... No thanks...He didn't want a full frontal facial shot of that stuff. No way. As he ducked, his free hand delivered a swift uppercut to the girl's jaw- he assumed his other hand had been pulled away from his face to protect his pet so he kept it as far as possible. The flame that erupted out of the girl and into the open air above them was...uh... kinna scary. Thankfully, it seemed that attack took a lot out of her so he managed to wriggle his arm free from her grip and back away pretty easily. Ow.Seemed he got his knuckle a little burnt, where the stabilizer wasn't protecting it. That fire must be pretty hot for it to have singed him even though he didn't directly touch the fire. Thank god he didn't actually get a face full of that. "Jesus... dragon girl...that was dangerous..." He mumbled, shaking his head. It was around then that the cat...spoke. Switching over to increased hearing, he now realised that the cat (who seemed to be a boy) was reading his timetable for today. Oh yeah... I forgot about those reports...ugh I gotta do them today...or Sunburn's gonna really roast me...He frowned, pausing as something else floated into his ears. That song. There was a slight pitch change in Alise's son's song just now. Huh. Wonder what that does.Well whatever it was, it was time to put an end to the concert. To be honest, he should have done it first, and if he was a villain that would have been his obvious strat but he supposed it was their first lesson so it shouldn't end in 30 seconds or otherwise it would be another PTA (Parent teacher Association) complaint filed on his head again. This teaching thing was kinna tough. All the red tape. Shifting over to speed in his legs, he was just about to move when Bacon let out a loud, very fed up squeal and jumped out of his claw that admittedly wasn't fully closed due to him being a little distracted by his thoughts. Oh shit. The small pig trotted into the nearest building to it's right with surprising speed, clearly wanting to be away from all the noise and heat that it had been subjected to in the last few minutes. ... first thing's first. Ignoring the whereabouts of the pet for now, Itsuka zipped a few meters to where the blonde was standing and simply aimed a punch to the boy's gut with his signature speed. "Ok... gonna have to cut the gig short, sorry."

Moving in bursts, his current burst had ended after releasing Taka. The entire area around him was lighting up, literally in some sense but additionally the environment. Everybody was doing something, a catalogue of developing information all so fast that it was almost hard to keep track of. That's how much weight was on a Hero in the moment; likely even worse. They have to keep in mind collateral, nearby civilians and spectators, the Villain or Villains that can act erratically and unpredictably in a moments notice to jeopardize lives. It was that sort of passive knowledge that came to him, he understood it in theory but in practice things were different. You never really know how good you are until you're put against the grindstone. Surveying the field as Taka recovered he noted attacks from Ryuga and Jun, he was doing pretty good in there. Isamu had an idea to try and exploit the teacher, while it potentially could've had some effect if the teacher didn't want that information getting out, if it was an actual Villain there's not a whole lot for them to lose. Still, the main target was Itsuka and the pig. A large gout of flame shot from Ryuga, it quite literally looked like the breath of a dragon. Bursting up into the air he admired how serious she was to do something so dangerous, but on the same token even if Itsuka was a legitimate Villain, Villains are taken down, not taken out. Normal people would lose a head with that most likely.
And then it happened.
Daiki watched as the pig slipped from Itsuka's arm amidst the chaos and started to bolt for it. He'd keep going if it wasn't for what was happening otherwise. He faced an ultimatum that couldn't be thought upon. Only impulse and the soul could decide this decision, and decided it did. The decision was between two things. Go after the pig and 'win' the objective in class or save Raphael from getting a wicked punch. In a real situation, that punch could be a knife and getting winded or knocked out could be death. The pig in a real situation was a hostage that had gotten free, they were unharmed and getting to safety in their own way. Not to mention Isamu was around, he could trust in his friends whether he knew them well yet or not to tie loose ends. He knew he needed to do exactly this, because if he didn't he wouldn't be able to live with himself. The markings across his body glowed an aqua coloration. It looked beautiful in a vivid way, a captivating blur of color and motion that ripped through the scene. Thankfully he had a sharp reaction time, and thankfully Itsuka had the fumble with Bacon just prior to rushing Raphael. However even then it would be close again. The margin of error tight as always, because in order to even hold a candle to the situation he needed to give it absolutely everything he had. If he was a pro hero and was in the future, maybe he'd be able to tamper his abilities to not have it be overkill, but here? Right now? As the bio-luminescence of his body ignited from aqua to rose, it signified that he was giving it everything he had. His feet were a rapid blur of dust and motion amidst it, debris or otherwise. His eyes were trained on that intersection between Itsuka and Raphael. It was getting smaller, and he was getting closer. He wanted to be able to just punch Itsuka off, but that wasn't possible. Another split decision needed to be made.
Let Raphael get hit to avoid being hit himself, while still throwing a swing at Meka-Sensei, or push it as far as he could, burst in between fist and target to take the hit and in the process throw a hit of his own. Another split decision with another split answer. He knew while using a wall or something or leaping around dramatically might be flashy, showy, if he leaped for the destination Meka could intercept; after all he didn't have the power to change his momentum in the air. So he had to just go right into it. Lowering his body, he charged to intercept as Meka's fist rammed into his stomach. Letting out a sound of almost nothing as the wind was all but knocked out of him standing in front of Raphael, he was severely beaten down but not out. It'd take one more clobber to shut him down completely. For now though, he'd go for a hit back in that same moment he was hit.
With a smile over his face, he attempted to raise up for a right hoo- no, a knee to Itsuka's stomach. A clever faint in the moment that would take more money than it spent. It was an attempt of course, but this was his letter he wrote in this class, his message to his student career and his declaration towards his future as a Hero. The knee was fast after the feint, being able to switch gears along with his amazingly short reaction time. It raised up in a flash, Daiki's body glowing a rose color.
One way or another, whether his hit landed or fell short he did what he wanted. He protected Raphael.
And that's all he needed.
