Well, three down, And what did you do? Throw the guy out the window? He felt his teeth grind, a motion that was nearly predatory. He regarded the unconscious guard settled beside the boy— unconscious, not dead. "Well he shocked me and then he bashed his head against the window annnndd... then he tripped and fell 50 feet. He might actually still be alive down there, still processing every ounce of pain but unable to move. Sorry fuck."
This was so...
"Why aren't they here yet?" Sen grumbled, though it had only been a few seconds. It might have seemed like he allowed the alarm to go willingly (which wouldn't have been surprising to them), but he had not actually intentionally allowed it. And yet it was eating at him. It shouldn't have been, but it fucking was. Either way, he had been trying not to be the fuck up for once. There was a time that he was not alone in the fuckups, hell even Aya had made mistakes, but it was becoming a bit of cliche at this point that the fingers pointed at him when things went sideways. And there was something strangely refined about Marionettist and even Wisp, that hadn't existed before. They worked like a fucking team, meanwhile he had been gone and now.. A dawning realization that was almost a little depressing, though he wasn't one to dote on depressing facts. He wasn't all there, not anymore, but he couldn't let Aya see that. Or had the other already noticed? Had all of them noticed? Sen felt the prickling of paranoia beneath his skin, which he subdued the best he could, though his skin continued to itch with it.
He decided it was probably best to stick with Aya, things only went sideways when he strayed, wasn't that the truth? Sen slipped forward and followed the other man, brushing against him— leaning on him. "Mine was better." He announced though had no actual vainglorious tone to his exclamation, he knew he had the artistic qualities of a five-year-old kid with Tourettes.
"I probably shouldn't be here, should I?" It was a peculiar question, it tasted weird on his tongue, mingled with the thrum of a migraine settling in his head. Onryō stirred, something hungry tangled in there, feeding off of him. He didn't understand insecurity, of course. He focused on the familiarity of anger instead, chose to take it out on the building around him, wanting to render the whole place to dust if he could. Wanting anyone that daredto regret the second they chose to answer that call.

Akuma shrugged. The guy would be dead soon enough. The other two had confidence that this would happen sooner or later, but wasn't too worried about it, yet. "I'll stick with Wisp." He followed the guy. If nothing else, he felt like he'd be out of Revenant's cross-hairs for a while. Taking the elevator up to the fourth floor, he came up to some labs. And one look already made him wish he'd brought Oni with him. But there were lockers as well, and files of things that they were working on. A paper trail and enough storage for some goodies. He doubted he'd get much out of the lockers...low grade stuff and maybe some lab coats.
He started to look through desk drawers though...some of these nerds had to be dumb enough to leave a password and username around. By the fourth one, he found something. Booting up the computer and putting in the username and password on the notepad, and he was in. Didn't these guys know not to leave those out? Well, Akuma guessed that even he was guilty of that too, but only for certain things...something like this he would have thought would be obvious not to do that. There was even some USB drives around. After a quick check to see if there was anything on them, he just snatched them and started moving projects and items of interest.
Some of the files were more interesting than others. One had something about advanced capturing robotics. Another was all about assisting a couple of heroes' quirks having less of a backlash. But there was one in particular that he found most fascinating. A creature of unknown origin being left in a cage for study in a vault. Not there, but in a different location. Tusks, with a reptilian like face, but wider, two sets of gliding wings, the forelegs being scythe like claws, two "arms" protruding from above for overhead strikes, filled with three bone claws that were strong enough to pierce light metal, even peel away heavier armor on vehicles, though that seemed to take hours. Storing that bit away, along with research on its genetics, Akuma continued to sift through it. Whoever this scientist and researcher was...he was about to get fired for just leaving his access codes out...

As a hero, Anthony believed that he was never actually off. As a young boy his parents beat into him the severity of letting his guard dawn. So now he was always on high alert. Even when he's supposed to take his supposed "required" time off. He usually worked sun up to sun down. Crime never stopped, so why should he be any more lenient when it came to kicking some villain ass. Smirking as he stood on a roof top, he scanned the area for any criminal activity. So far things were quiet tonight. It was as if all of the criminals were taking the night off, contrary to what he had been thinking earlier.
Halting his gaze at a taxi that had just pulled up, he watched as a mother jumped out of the back seat with her son. It was a late hour, making Tony sympathize with the fact that she still had on work clothes. She must have just gotten. off. She closed the door of the taxi and the little boy looked up and saw him, a bright smile on his face, The hero smirked and held out his palm, letting his flames dance around. The boy beamed and reached to get his mother's attention. But when she turned around, he was gone.
"-security measures in the building unresponsive, we suspect a villain attack. Investigate the building and subdue villains if found. Alarm was triggered on the 6th floor."
That was definitely trouble. And not too far from where he was. To think the villains would be bold enough to orchestrate an attack lie this. No wonder everything had been so quiet up until now. Running across the roof, he pushed off with a burst of flames from his feet, opening his arms to reveal his fireproof wings. Shooting across the sky, he tried to get there as fast as he could. Based on the distance, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get there. He flew through the skyline and watched the pretty much empty streets below him. It presented a calm aura around the area. One that he didn't want some thugs to ruin!.
When he got there, he landed next to a crowd of civilians. They looked traumatized, crying and backing away from whatever was troubling them. Passing through the bystanders, he finally saw what was the center of the commotion. It was something that was both grotesque and sad. A guard had been flattened on the streets alongside shattered glass, without a doubt thrown from a building. The police had not arrived yet, so the civilians were getting an eyeful. Turning around, he held his arms wide to get everyones attention. They began to realize that Phoenix was here.
"There has been an attack on this building! We suspect villains. I need you all to evacuate immediately! Go home and lock your doors!"
The frightened looks on their faces was hard to look at, but he had to relay the seriousness of the situation, and he didn't have time to babysit. They all scattered, some screaming as they got as far away as possible. Looking up, he saw the exit point, and almost growled in anger as he shot up with a stream of fire. Midway, he relinquished the flames, using the momentum to glide easily into the room. He would find who did this, and they would pay.

Rom left his motorcycle in an alley a block or so from the commotion. The anti-theft measurements made him comfortable enough to leave it where it was without worrying about it being taken. Ensuring that his mask was well in place, he took off at a run, rounding the corner and heading for the back entrance. He'd caught sight of a crowd on his initial pass by the front. He preferred to avoid those when possible, as it usually slowed him down. Evacuation was important, but, he tended to prioritize neutralizing the threat beforehand in situations like these. After all, if a villain was still on the loose, someone needed to stop them quickly. The police could handle waving civilians on.
A back or side door usually meant a set of stairs that would be unblocked for the sake of emergency exits. If the alarm was triggered on the sixth floor, that would certainly warrant investigation. His main focus, however, was what else he'd seen on his pass by the front. There had been what he knew was a banner, fluttering from the front of the building. Judging by the broken windows above it, it was a recent addition. Whoever the unwelcome guests were, they were making a statement. Damn, he hated it when the bad guys had to make a statement. It was always so much easier if they just wanted to steal something or pull some other petty crime. Those who made big deals of things like this seemed to almost always be idealists or have really big self-images.
Reaching one of the side doors was a simple thing. Getting in was a bit harder. One thing was for certain, though, this place needed some stronger security measures. After a few precious seconds of tinkering with the lock, Rom sighed. Insurance would cover the damage of a broken lock. He backed up just a little. Then, he drew back and slammed his foot into the door, near enough the handle to channel the force properly. The door shuddered. Another kick followed, a full-forced front kick with all the strength he could put into it. The door rattled again. The third blow finally opened it, sending it slamming back into the wall. Admittedly, as badass as it might have looked on that final attempt, his foot was not all too happy about being rammed into a metal surface. He was fortunate, though. A door was only as strong as its lock, and this one hadn't been anything too special.
With that out of the way, Rom set off up the back stairwell, pleased to find that his guess had been correct. Any building with multiple floors like this one would have an emergency route in case of a fire. Which meant easy access. Hopefully, he hadn't drawn too much attention already. A fight on the stairs was never as exciting as it might sound.

Wisp strode into the elevator with Akuma in tow, leaving Revenant and the Marionettist to continue their work 'decorating' the third floor of the building. The banner that their mastermind had brought along was a bit flashy for his tastes, hell; this entire job was, but there was no getting around that. Even if he didn't like the attention, he was technically a part of this group and as always, a job was a job. But if he was gonna put his ass on the line, he was damn well gonna make sure it was worth the risk.
As the doors slid open, the two villains quickly went to work scouring the labs. The first stop was a computer room, and Wisp watched with amusement for a few seconds while Akuma poked through the desks for any sort of clues for a log in to one of the machines. "Well, that's one way to go about it..." He said with a chuckle. Seemed to him that the kid played too many video games, and while it looked like he found some success, the thief had his own methods. Moving over to one of the machines, he pulled the power and pried off the side of the tower case. A brief scan located the hard drive and he unplugged it before pocketing the tech. Modern SSDs were small enough that he could fit a few of them in the pouches at his waist, so he repeated the process a couple times before moving on. His sis could dig the data off them later, surely one of them would have something valuable on it.
But that wasn't his main target for the evening. No, he was far more interested in the workshop next door. Walking to the far side of the room, he pulled out the security card he'd taken from the guard and swiped it through the reader. The device gave a chirp and a green light clicked on a second later. "Come on, kid, all the best toys are in here." He held the door open to give his colleague a chance to get in, then stepped through himself and let the lock re-engage.
The interior of the room was filled with sleek white tables, covered in all manner of high-tech machinery and devices in various states of construction. Being a big hero sponsor, this company had it's own in-house support department where they developed and produced equipment, most of which was on the cutting edge of the industry. To someone like him in the the business of 'clandestine asset procurement', this whole room was like one big candy shop. Before he had a chance to indulge himself however, there was a loud crash from below. Sounded like it came back from the direction of the stairwell.
"Look alive everyone, sounds like we're gonna have some company in a second." He said into his headset before turning toward Akuma. "We're in dangerous territory here kid, still probably got some time since the lab's locked, but I suggest we try to approach this quiet like. Any issues with that?" The police weren't this quick, so that meant it was probably some passing hero. Not something he was particularly excited about, but they were prepared for this and luckily their guests didn't seem to care much about keeping quiet themselves.

“They should be here soon enough.”
Aya replied his head moving a little towards Sen as he lent against him like some kind of overgrown nekomata...or maybe he was a shadow cat? Well, that HAD been what he had called the other man when they first started living with each other.
“Well, I tried my utmost best to...recreate your design.”
He replied with a faint ghost of a smirk on his lips.
There was definitely something up with Sen, he could almost feel the unease, restlessness, it was far more erratic than it used to be and that wasn’t a good thing, from his experience. The last time he had been this ruffled was before… a series of incidents that had got them almost killed. This...wasn’t good. A hand slowly went around the other’s shoulder, running up his neck, towards his partner’s head, the movement slow enough so Sen could expect it rather than some sudden action.
“Why do you say that?”
Aya asked as his fingers tingled slightly, like static between them. It had been a while since they connected, it should...be fine...right?
“I told you I-”
That was when he heard a loud thud, followed by a few more than a crash.
“Oh...it seems we have much anticipated guests…”
He said softly, his eyes almost glittering in the dimly lit room, the light catching the small shards of grey in the violet orbs.
“I suppose we need to… introduce ourselves.”

"Recreate? Sheeeit, you went and made my drawing all fancy and good. Do you have to be good at everything?" He cooed, none too shy with his rather blatant mid-heist affections, not that he was particularly ever worried during the job. The movement of the other's hand wasn't expected but it was welcomed regardless, practically purring at the slight contact, leaning into it and in turn feeling a sense of stability he hadn't had before that moment. The world was still, the noise in his head subsided beneath the firm contact.
"I feel like..." He didn't know what to add to that. What was he feeling? Did he honestly want to bother Aya with his feelings, that wasn't going to get them anywhere. And making Aya worry didn't sound like a good idea either. He could lie or be partially honest, but Aya would see right through his bullshit immediately. The last time he'd fucked up, he'd gone and gotten Aya stabbed and almost lost his mind in the process.
Then there was a bang. It seriously ruined their moment. It was, of course, a reminder that they weren't on their own, they were still on their mission. They had a job to do and real talk could wait till later, but fuck this bastard.
"It's whatever.. doesn't matter right now." I'm gonna fucking murder this god damn son of a bitch.
Fights and killing idiots always had a way of making him feel better, right? And this idiot was using the fucking stairs, practically begging to make his day, and Sen hated to disappoint. He slipped towards the stairway door, edge of a growl on his lips as he spoke, "I'll show them in." And then he slipped through the door.
He put a foot to the stair railing and then dropped over the other side. Spotting their "guest" mid-drop, he grabbed the railing to that level and vaulted over with a quick, seamless movement. There was very little about Revenant that wasn't impetuous and violent, usually a strike from him was fatal with very little care for the foreplay of it. But he figured, what the hell.. Everyone likes a little foreplay. He didn't recognize the hero in question, but he rarely paid attention the media or the politics of pro-heroes.
"Didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to keep people waiting? I am not a patient person."
With a low-striking kick at the hero's ankles, attempting to uproot him. He drove upwards, knife aimed for the throat. Ease them in gently, kill them with kindness, all of that trash.

Akuma shrugged at Wisp. "Might as well...pure luck was what this was. If Oni was a better hacker than he already is, or if we had funds to hire a pro, I'd take the hard drives themselves...just like what you're doing..." He was a bit resigned. He was just thinking about that too...and here Wisp was already doing it. Should have been expected, but Akuma would be the first to admit that he was arrogant enough to think that maybe the more experienced villain wouldn't think of that. Only to be wrong.
Oh well.
Getting what was left, he deleted the info on the computer. It would take a bit to find it again, he was sure, but just to set them back a little bit. Besides, that creature was interesting to say the least. He took the flash drive and stuffed it in his pockets. Then followed Wisp into the lab proper. Soon after the lock reengaged, they heard a noise. The police weren't this quick, so that could only mean one thing: Heroes. Wisp asked if there was any issues with stealth. "Nope. We're in complete agreement there." He took out six knives and put three in each corner beside the door.
Then he took in the unfinished projects around. If they were gonna fight, he needed to know where things were to make the best use of his quirk. At least Wisp could easy defend and attack at once, with the way his quirk worked. Still, Akuma was going to play support for the hot young man.

So much for having the night off. Although really Livewire hadn't known of such a thing for a long time coming. When the emergency alert sounded through her earpiece, well it was a lucky thing she was in the immediate area before some other idiot botched it up. It felt like eternity since the last time any villain had been dumb enough to do anything like this. And boredom didn't suit her in the least. It was a good thing that transport was fairly simply for her. She read the intrusion in the building lab, which only made it easier for her to access considering all the electric systems held within. So her own entry into the building was seamless, slipping in through the electrical structure of the building. She couldn't identify much in this form, besides the knowledge of two men in the room, but very little other information was available to her. The lights crackled and sparked as she slipped through the halls. The sound systems crackled with a high-pitched squeal, voice emitted from the lab's speakers. "Most villains are smart enough to take what they need and leave, so either you boys are really stupid or you're here for the attention. Either way, you just made the worst decisions of your life."Livewire climbed from the system in a wave of electricity and wild sparks, form reassembling from the voltage until she was solid once more several feet behind the strangers. "Looks like you're locked in here with me, also unlucky. Livewire is the name, I'll cut the formalities though, you're fucked, so give up now."

As Revenant descended upon Nightfall, the hero was caught off balance by the villain's sudden appearance. He felt his feet slip out from beneath him with a sudden impact and the world started to tilt. He was falling, and a knife was chasing down after him. Some distant part of his brain recognized that the floor was approaching, and that as soon as he met it he would lose this race with the hungry steel.
But what happened next wasn't anything that he'd been expecting. Before his reflexes could take over, the ground beneath him seemed to tear open and a glint of metal streaked past his head to intercept the knife. As he fell, he recognized the shape of a katana, being held by a figure in a yellow, hooded coat that was covered in all manner of swords. The figure wasn't quite human though; a lithe form with slender, animalistic joints, elongated claws, a set of furry ears poking out from its head, and a pair of tails extending from the base of its spine.
Lynx flipped up through the portal he'd torn in the staircase, leaving the other hero to fall to the lower level while he kept the knife locked with his own blade. "Take it easy Nightfall, this one's mine." He said with a grin as the floor closed back up beneath him, blocking his comrade from sight. As much as he was sure the other man would have been useful, he wanted to handle this particular incident himself. His red eyes traced up toward the man in front of him as he continued to speak. "You know... Kenshi was a friend of mine, and I bet you didn't even know his name." The grin turned to a snarl, his fangs bared as he gave a fierce shove with his katana to disengage from Revenant's weapon. The extra space freed him up to draw another blade from his back, and he immediately dove in after the villain with a wide slash aimed at his stomach.
***
Wisp glanced back and forth across the work benches as he strode down the center of the lab. The room was pretty sizable, but the thief figured they had a little bit of time before their company arrived. His primary targets for the night were both requests that Iris had come up with after doing a bit of digging into the company. The first of which was a sample of a new fireproof fiber, apparently lighter and more effective than what was currently on the market. He assumed that was probably for his next suit upgrade, since his quirk had recently burned out a bunch of the thing's systems when he lost his temper a bit. This one wasn't terribly difficult to find, as there was a spool of material left out on one of the tables, and he snipped out a square to stow away for later. The second target was a bit harder. Apparently the supports were working on a new piece of equipment for one of their heroes. His name was... Galeforce? Something like that. Some sort of device that compressed or shaped air? He didn't know the specifics, nor did he know why his sister wanted it, but a target was a target.
Scouring over the area, he eventually caught sight of the thing; a small canister like object that was slightly smaller than his forearm, but before he could go to retrieve it all the lights in the room started to flicker. Sparks rained down and several of the tubes blew out as a taunting voice crackled over the speaker system. "Well, so much for quiet..." Wisp grumbled, his head turning toward the sound of more sparking behind him in time to see a figure take shape from the wave of electricity. The face that came into view was actually one he recognized from the news, a hero that was known to raise a little hell when it came to the association's regulations. "Well, Livewire is it? Forgive me if I don't just take you at your word there." He tapped his comms to speak directly to Akuma, temporarily cutting off his helmet's speakers. "I don't suppose you've added an air filter to that mask of yours. If not, you might want to hold your breath or clear out for a minute."
An instant after he finished speaking, there was a sharp hiss and a massive cloud of hot ash exploded out from his body, obscuring him and Akuma from view as his helmet swapped over to the thermal cameras.

Aya followed a few meters behind Sen when his partner launched himself at the arriving hero, though he stood back, amethyst eyes studying how the scene played itself out. When the very fabric of existence seemed to tear and some...creature crawled out, eyes narrowed trying to focus in the dimly lit surroundings. The thing said some stuff, but he hardly regarded it and instead focused on its movements, any sign of attack, how it was coming… That...was a hero wasn’t it, wasn’t the thing’s name Lynx or whatever, Aya didn’t really know much specifics but he could have sworn the guy was mainly operating in Tokyo, god knows why he was here. And why...why the fuck was that thing a cat?? He had better knowledge of the active heroes in Osaka and the Kansai region in general but he guessed he really should start studying a bit harder of heroes all around Japan, specially if being more public was going to be a thing they were going to do more often. It was around then that Aya heard a loud sound somewhere above them and the lights that were somewhat illuminating the place flickered and frizzled. Well, that could only mean Wisp and the child upstairs also have visitors. Well hopefully they could handle them fine.
"Any large developments up there, please let me know, Wisp"
He said into his earpiece as the villain moved back a little back into the office as the cat-like creature attacked, Kimi shifting a little into a more cautious stance and his free hand going to his waist, his main objective to support Sen in combat as much as possible.

The situation seemed well underway, almost a little too easy. Just like that. Heroes really weren't up to par these day, it was sad. This wasn't his first encounter with a hero, but it was certainly the most disappointing. And then just like that, it all changed. Things were interesting now at the very least, which was all that Sen could have asked for. The others were probably hoping for a simple and easy night— get in, cause a ruckus, get out— but Sen thrived upon violence and chaos. It fueled him. There was nothing that made him feel more alive than the taste of strength and destroying his enemies in the most explosive and painful manners possible.
Right when he was about to sink the knife in, his knife was struck and held fast by a long and impressive weapon. The first hero (his hopeful victim) vanished from sight and, by god, did that piss him off despite the change of pace. The plot twist had been appreciated, of course, but that had been his kill, which left the perpetrator in the killshot—in the refined lens of his rather aggressive temper.
"You know... Kenshi was a friend of mine, and I bet you didn't even know his name."
And just when he was about to say something particularly snarky and biting in return he finally caught sight of his newfound soon-to-be victim (the sorry wretch).
"Y-..."
This wasn't right.
The shove was enough to knock him back, mostly because he was too focused on the individual in question to put weight in his heels and hold steadfast. His ass hit the stairs leading up to the next floor, and he sat there staring up at the creature. The blade would have gutted him like a fish if he hadn't managed to phase the second prior. And then he grinned and laughed.
"You're a cat." He practically squealed. "Violet, look how cute it is. LOOK AT HIS LITTLE EARS."
Tell me this isn't happening. Onryō sighed at the actions of its host.
"No one told me heroes had cats. Okay I change my mind, my whole life has been a Lie. I'm changing sides." He leaned forward where sat, gripping at his hair, "Violet, can we keep him?"

Livewire huh? Well, that was slightly unexpected. What Wisp said was true. He hadn't gotten an air filter or anything of the like. He needed a professional for that. "You should probably work on improving your reputation if you wanted us to believe that." She was a fake of sorts. Hero work wasn't always so clean cut, but with how much hell she causes, it was a bit ridiculous. Akuma backed off, covering his face and holding his breath. His eyes glowed molten orange as he manipulated a philips screwdriver and a couple of screws behind the hero, and to her sides, to stab her in the knees. Problem was, city fighting was something she was likely to be extremely good at, considering her quirk. Turning into energy and travelling through the wires was as good of an escape plan as it was a good way to attack.
He snatched all six of his knives on the sides of the doors and moved to unlock the door. Only opening it enough for him to slip through. But he also stayed near it. If there was any sign the hero would come out to fight him, he'd open it wide open, give Wisp an idea of where she had gone if she'd went back into energy form.
Unfortunately, he didn't know enough about her quirk to come up with some sort of plan. Right now, his main hope was that she wouldn't set off the sprinklers. That would hamper Wisp, and possibly give her the advantage...electric quirks were so annoying...

Live wire was many things but not patient, her reputation tended to hang on a rather narrow precipice, but she usually kept herself under control to keep from drawing too much attention. The last thing she wanted was authority on her ass... again. Last time was so not cool and so adding a second time and even a temporary bar on hero work was not in the books so she had to play this smart. It would have been a touch easier if she knew either of these guy's quirks and how to handle them quickly. She was both well in her element but also in a precarious situation. The electricity was freeflowing in this area, allowing for quick access and movement through the system and the environment, but several consequences could result from her not playing it smart. One, the she could damage the electrical structure and cause a hell of a headache both for herself and the technicians that worked in this lab. Two, she could set off the sprinklers, which could result in an overload that could damage herself if not well-timed or she could end up accidentally and seriously hurting these two idiots. The latter seemed like it should have mattered less to her but again... good behavior.
These two were cheeky, which made not frying their brains relatively more difficult.
"I'll have you know my word it reputable in this situation, give up now and I'll make sure things run smoothly." It never quite worked out that way though did it? Which was EXACTLY why she couldn't seemed to keep her name off someone's shit list.
This proved to be the same bullshit.
Great.
And truthfully she meant it. These two deserved what was coming to them. Suddenly then, smoke filled the room, obscuring her sight and she was just quick enough to make sure the mask blocked most of the smoke though the stink still stained her nostrils. Smoke boy and... what of the other then? Right then, she couldn't tell.
"Fine then, let's play it that way then." She said drawing in the energy from the room inwards. Overhead the lights flickered and the monitors and computers blacked out. Then she let out a strike of electrical energy into the direction she last saw them. Just enough to stun. If it hit one it would most likely spiral off and hit the other.

As Lynx's blade rushed right towards his target, something interesting happened. The man's body seemed to shimmer slightly and turn transparent, and the cat's wakizashi found nothing but air. Some sort of phasing ability? That could certainly complicate things... The hero followed through and prepared for what seemed like an inevitable counterattack, but.... nothing came. No, the villain in question just stared at him for a second before letting out a squeal like an excited little kid.
His ears twitched as his fur stood up on end.
So not only did they kill his friend, but now they were mocking him. Lynx took note of the second individual on the upper level, but for the moment paid them little attention as his blood began to boil at the person in front of him. His teeth clenched and his grip around his weapons tightened. "That's right, just a cute little kitty." Before the words even finished leaving his mouth, his muscles tensed and he lashed out with as much speed as he could muster, throwing a bell punch right at the guy's face. At the same time he dropped the blade in his other hand, passing it to one of his tails as his claws took on a golden glow. Spinning with the momentum of the punch, he raked them across the wall to his side and a rift appeared in their wake, with a matching hole forming on the stairway behind Revenant. Completing his spin, he brought his sword around again and thrust it through the new portal, aiming for the back of one of his foe's legs in an attempt to cripple him.

Wisp started to move as soon as his smokescreen was in place, firing his vents in order to propel himself upward and take a perch on top of one of the lighting fixtures. His movements were as silent as always and he continued to let fresh smoke pour off his body the whole time. Looking back down, he could see that Akuma had taken his advice and stepped out, leaving just him and the hero in the room, which was rapidly filling up with an ever thicker shroud of ash. The real question was; how to handle this? His equipment gave him a single powerful advantage here that the other two lacked; he could still see the whole room while they would be limited to maybe a few feet. It certainly did tip the scales in his favor, but it wasn't an absolute and he was playing things particularly cautious tonight.
While he considered his options, Wisp heard a voice crackle in through his earpiece as their mastermind decided to check in. "Eh, we've gotten the attention of a loud one. I'll let you know if she starts causing any-" At that moment, it seemed like Livewire's patience ran out and she hurled a bolt of electricity at where he'd been standing a moment before... as if he'd actually stand still after blocking out her sight. Static from the blast washed over the comms channel and Wisp couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit. "...trouble. You happen to know much about a hero named Livewire? I've got an idea or two, but if you know anything I might be able to use, I'm all ears." Whether or not his colleague had anything to offer, he kept still and made as little sound as possible. The wild attack made it obvious that he was dealing with an impatient type, so it was in his best interest to just stay hidden and wait for her to act out and present an opportunity.
