Hacking for Dummies [Closed + Aya]

Watching at the smaller....guy thing moved in front of the discount king of pop, Kaji's smile remained light and carefree as it usually was. He had been kind of hopeful the man wouldn't sic his short-men on him, but given his luck, he wouldn't have been surprised. Fortunately though, rather than order the short man to attack, Micheal Jackson instead began to talk.

"I am sure, you were not stupid enough to just come unarmed either, so this is... insurance."

Pausing for a second with a sort of quizzical expression forming on his face, Kaji's eyes glanced at the Hacker, then at the guy/girl thing next to him. And then finally at the person who had stepped in front of him. His gaze shifted several times between the two individuals the hacker had brought before he brought a hand to his chin and began to stroke it slightly. "What are you talking about silly! Those are people! People aren't insurance!~" Kaji announced rather innocently as he his smile and face took on several feline-like qualities.

"My name is The Marionettist."

"Marionettist huh? That's a really long name." Kaji noted for a second before judging it. "You should really shorten it."

Of course he wouldn't linger on that thought very long however as he had to clear up any misconceptions the man might have had about him. How dare he think Kaji would have come to a place without a weapon! This NEEDED to be rectified! And Kaji was just the cat man to do it!

"Anyways that's really rude for you to say assume something so baseless about me!" Kaji stated bluntly even after having judged the man's name.

"Of course I wouldn't come unarmed! I have this!" Kaji said proudly as he unzipped his jacket oh so slightly so he could stick a hand into it. Considering that the knife was placed in a pocket that wouldn't allow for easy access unless he fully undid his zipper, Kaji had to kind of fiddle with pulling the jacket away from his body with one hand while the other tried to snake it's way down his jacket. Given how cold it was however, the Black Kitty wasn't willing to undo his jacket any further and the whole spectacle was quite bizarre. With his upper body wiggling as his arms tried to bend in ways that they weren't supposed to, Kaji's eyes lit up as his fingers grasped the very object he was looking for. It was his favorite (and only) blade!

"TADA!!!" Kaji said triumphantly as his hand launched itself up into the air as a small and beat up closed balisong knife was held in his hands. Given the condition of it's casing it was easy to assume that it's blade probably wasn't well maintained as well. Lowering his arm and flipping the blade open with a few practiced flicks the wrist, Kaji gave the man a bright smile as he displayed his pride and joy to the man. "I never leave home without ol' reliable! He's been with me since the beginning!"

"But that aside-" Kaji said flippantly as he whipped the blade back into it's case before pocketing it inside his right pants pocket. "You didn't come here to see knife tricks and I didn't come here to see your weird bodyguards named....insurance? I'm here on business. Important business."

"There are some people I need to meet and right at least one wrong in this world." Kaji said rather seriously as his expression grew dark for the first time. Looking at Marionettist with a pair of dark orbs that showed no signs of the light that had danced around them before. Kaji hoped the man wouldn't make him say what he was presently conveying to him but given that he'd just met the guy who could know? But the guy seemed smart so Kaji figured he could catch his drift. Given the grim expression on his face, it sure as hell wasn't like he was going to ask these people out to dinner. Oh no no no.

Ignoring the comment about all this being a tasteless joke, Kaji would press on like usual. When asked if they were the people that he wanted to find, he gave the man a slight nod as his peerless eyes stared forward. There wasn't a drop of hesitation behind them. Or so had been the case until the man mentioned killing them. Hearing the guy so bluntly ask him something like that caused Kaji to blink twice before averting his momentarily. Though rather naive, Kaji wasn't stupid. Well...he WAS. But he wasn't so innocent to thoughts like those. He did promise retribution to those that had wronged him....but killing them seemed a bit extreme. Or so he would always initially think. Considering what had been done to him....to his brother...was it really extreme? Or was it not proper? Those men had taken everything from him. They stole his livelihood. His family. And then his own life. Blood could only truly be repaid with blood. Which was why Kaji's eyes would return to meet the Pedo's and he'd steel his heart. "I don't have any such quirk. But yeah...."

"They don't deserve to live..."

"Remembering what they did to me....to my family...it's hard to not want to kill them. But I've tried to forgive them for years now. And yet...I can't. Even if I know that it's wrong to want to harm them....I just can't let it go." Kaji stated bluntly as he began to bite his lower lip. "They destroyed everything I had. Everything that I loved. I can't just brush that under the carpet. No...doing that is impossible. But as for killing them. Well...I want to make them at the very least feel the pain that they caused me."

"Which is why I need your help." Kaji said as he felt his mission being reaffirmed. "I can't offer you much but if you help me with this, i'll at the very least owe you a life debt."

Smiling sheepishly as the man began to tell him that his services wouldn't wind up costing that much, Kaji felt a wave of relief wash over him. Presently the man only had a few hundred bucks to his name! So being that the man was readily offering his services at what was supposed to be a nice price, Kaji was quite pleased! So pleased that he planned on tipping the man quite a bit extra due to being so agreeable! The man didn't judge or chastise him for the course of action he was about to take! All mister pedo did was calmly assess that his services needed to be rendered and that was something Kaji could totally respect. Though considering he lost quite a lot of points dude to hanging around little kids it really was a shame. Kaji could've have grown to like the man! Not in that sense naturally! But as a reliable companion! He really needed more of those ya know!? Especially considering the last batch had betrayed him and all!


Pulling out his wallet and opening it, Kaji was prepared to pay the man a hefty sum. Or so he was until the man mentioned the price. Blinking several times as his mind began to process the number, Kaji froze. Examining the man in front of him who said it with a look that declared it to be the most natural number one would ask for the job, Kaji's mind began to move in overdrive. That number was uh...how should he put it. An impossible one to reach. One that he couldn't hope dare obtain even if he worked a steady job for all nine er- eight of his lives. Maybe he could sell his organs? OH! YEAH MAYBE THAT COULD WORK! Though that would probably only net him a few grand. Also seeing how he was pretty much half cat, wouldn't that mean his organs were those of an animal's? And if that was the case would they be valued for more? Or for less? Mmmm....these were questions that needed to be answered. If only there was some magical thing that people could use to search for information on topics of varying degrees without much of a hassle. Something that was like a searching device. Someone really needed to make that. In any case, seeing how he needed to supply the guy with money, Kaji did the only thing he could. He pulled out all two hundred dollars from his wallet and dropped to his knees. Offering up the bills as though serving a god, Kaji bowed his head as he presented his offering.

"This is all I have!" Kaji said humbly as he continued his gesture. "Please! I might your fee on me right now but I promise i'll get you your money!"

"But if that isn't satisfactory, then...then um...." Kaji began as his mind tried to come up with anything acceptable. "LET ME WORK IT OFF!"

It was the only thing he could think of.

"I'm very reliable!" Kaji added as he tried to sell himself to the man.

"Please please please please please please!" Kaji begged. 

If the guy didn't accept this offer whelp...Kaji supposed he would just have to find another way to his former friends.

Peeking slightly up as he hoped to see an expression that reflected satisfaction, Kaji hopeful gazed dropped as a look of disgust gazed down at him. Shivers instantly shot through the kitty boy's body as his eyes began to reflexively widen in horror. His offering hadn't been enough. Yet...it was everything he owned. The only other thing he had was ol' reliable! He couldn't part with that though! That knife had been with him through thick and thin! It was almost like a second brother to him! Especially considering it had been a gift from his actual little brother. So...yeah. Parting with it was impossible for him. Yet....what else was there...?

Biting down on his lip as the man rejected his offer and then struggled to recall his name, Kaji watched with bated breath as he wondered what the man was going to say. Whether it had been a bit of bravado to emphasize his point, the man eventually remembered the cat man's name before promptly asking him what abilities Kaji could bring to the table. Lowering his eyes as he wondered how to answer that question, Kaji quickly realized something. He had no answer. His mind had instantly told him to yell out that he can offer the man all the perverted or peculiar pictures that he wanted but the hacker had stopped him before he could even present the proposition. Given that Kaji probably filled several niche....preferences of people, it could have REALLY been quite profitable! But that wasn't an option. Especially considering the guy said he would kill him if he.....did? And just like that a light bulb went off in Kaji's head as a impish smile spread across his face. Naturally though, he quickly snuffed the smile out before he raised his head and began to speak.

"Are you sure you don't want my nudes?" Kaji asked innocently as he gazed up towards the man with a rather pure expression.

"For a guy who has certain tastes like yours...I'm sure you'd find them to your liking." Kaji added as he slowly shifted his body off of both knees. His pose now resembled the one that a guy might take as though he was proposing but it wasn't because he had any idea of that sort floating around in his head.

And just like that, the man was caught like a rat in a trap. It was rather fortunate for the cat! Or so Kaji would have said had he expected what happened next. Rather than the mystery man throwing a a blow at him, Kaji who had been alert could only see but the slightest of motions from the man's fingers. It was subtle....but there. Remembering his encounter from before, Kaji instantly whipped his head around and he jumped backwards away from the the man. With his senses sharpened to degrees generally unattainable by humans. Of course, they only allowed him to perceive things slightly better than a regular human but they definitely helped. Seeing and sensing nothing coming from behind him, Kaji face twisted in confusion. If not the back. Then...


Almost as though answering his question, the sound of the fast approaching assailant from the opposite direction caused Kaji's eyes to spring wide open. Hand going into the pocket holding his trusty companion, Kaji reflexively snapped out it's blade and readied it in front of him. Considering his strength was rather unimpressive, Kaji didn't feel that the blade gave him an unfair advantage. Rather instead, he more so thought of the thing as something that evened the playing field! In any case, with the blade steadied in front of him, Kaji was now ready. Or so he once again thought. But like before, what he expected was quite different from reality.

Seeing the thing charging at him, Kaji thought the man-thing was going to punch him. Which was why he was more willing to take the attack in a more direct manner. Yet imagine his surprise when the thing's arm changed. With time seemingly slowing down as Kaji did he best to react, the cat man was almost sure he was fucked. Letting out a small yelp as he parried the arm as best he could, Kaji could only slightly redirect the attack that had been launched at him. Instead of going straight for his throat, the blade instead was launched slightly up and off to the side. Naturally given that he'd put most of his being in trying knock the attack to side, Kaji couldn't hide his shock as the blade sailed up towards his face. Maneuvering his head oh so slightly out of the way, Kaji tried his best to avoid the blade but the metal shallowly cut the man's cheek. Grimacing in pain, time seemed to speed back up as the doll sped past him. Staggering off to the side as his movement to avoid the blunt of the attack completed itself, Kaji's eyes couldn't hide his mind's attempt at trying to understand the situation. But there was no time to contemplate the what. What he needed to handle was the why. And the why had to most definitely be the hacker. What this thing was didn't seem to be human. And prior to that weird twitch of the man, it had been rather passive. Whether it was robotic or otherwise, Kaji didn't know. But what Kaji did know was that the key to stopping it was likely the man. Which was why Kaji wasted little time flinging his blade towards the man's shoulder with the fingers that had moved. Whether the attack connected or not, Kaji didn't care. Because he'd instantly dart in the man's direction running in a rather low position. A position that was well suited for tackling. Tackling what you ask? Well that was obvious! Aya of course! He would try his best to take the weird man down and get him off his feet. 

Watching his knife sail through the air, Kaji preemptiviely began to celebrate at how on course his aim had been. But before his knife could make impact with the man's shoulder an unexpected obstacle moved into his way. He'd known about the second bodyguard...guy...thing but he didn't think it would've been able to react fast enough. Shows what he knew however given that the 'thing' quickly moved to block it's 'master' from the harm the the cat boy wished to cause him. Watching him knife bounce harmlessly off the man-thing, Kaji's eyes once again widened as he saw his knife do literally no damage against the protector. The knife which had been thrown with all the strength he could muster flew harmlessly straight upwards into the air. Watching it's interaction with the protector meant that the kitty man himself likely took little to no chance taking the man-thing on himself. Which ultimately meant to Kaji that he had little choice in his next course of action. 


Eyes narrowing as his feral instincts began to take over, Kaji's perception of time began to slow. Naturally however, given that his body was moving faster than normal, the doll shouldn't have been able to keep up. He kept charging straight ahead until the very last moment at which point he'd quickly perform something akin to a basketball spin move. Charging directly at the opposition, Kaji would wait until the last possible moment before quickly pivoting around the target and launching himself towards Aya. He wouldn't show his hand until just right before performing the spin at which point he'd unleash his absurdly quick cat-like movements at the last second. With the sudden burst of acceleration, he would rocket himself in a backwards circular motion around the doll before launching himself cleanly at Aya. Given that there should have been any more obstacles in his way between him in and the puppetmaster, Kaji should have had a clear shot at the man. Which if he did he would've tackled the man down. Even if there was another 'protector-thing' close behind him, it shouldn't have been able to catch up with him given the sudden burst in speed he would have displayed. Also with how fast he would have moved in contrast with the protector that now blocked him, neither should have been able to anticipate his movements. And the path should have been clear.

If he was successful in getting around the final defender, Kaji wouldn't have done much harm to the guy they should have been supposedly protecting. Sure he would have tackled the man and gotten him onto his back, but he wasn't trying to do the man any serious harm. He would've launched an arm towards the man's throat and loosely held it while telling him to call the two guards off.

"CALL THEM OFF!" Kaji would order the man if he was somehow successful.

Given that he wasn't sure whether a verbal command was needed, Kaji wasn't trying to actually hurt the guy. He'd just try to get the man on his back, straddle his stomach, and hold him down while trying to stop the onslaught of attackers to prove his worth. Naturally though, there was no guarantee any part of his plan would have worked. Each parted was contingent on the previous part succeeding and considering that there were a WHOLE bunch of factors that had to work in his favor, Kaji wasn't particularly confident in his chances of success. Still though, if this one didn't work out as he hoped, he could still push himself a little further. Yet.....no much more. His body would already be tearing itself apart by the time he would avoid the 2nd doll and given that it would barely be holding itself together if he somehow found himself able to be on top of the man, well the whole ploy of a gambit in and of itself.  

Being that Kaji was clearly a tactical genius, he knew that it was bound to work! Half surprised that he could follow through with the motion entirely, Kaji had his hand firmly around the man's next and gave it a soft squeeze to emphasis his point. He wasn't trying to hurt the man of course. But being that his life was clearly in danger, he had no choice but to exert at least a little bit of pressure. surprisingly enough, it seemed to work. The man seemed agreeable enough although he his expression seemed to say otherwise and he spoke two simple words which caused Kaji to wonder if it was all over. Turning away from the man for but a second as he checked to see the dolls had stopped, Kaji practically jumped out of his own skin as he saw the two dolls charging towards him. Sights shifting back towards the man, Kaji's eyes widened once more as he saw a knife seemingly sailing upwards towards him. Being that time appeared quite a bit slower to him while in his enhanced state, Kaji used every fiber in his being to push his body back and head away from the trajectory of the flying blade. It honestly must have been Kaji's lucky day because instead of finding a knife in his throat, Kaji was able to skate by the with only the a small nic on his cheek opposite of the one that he'd already been cut on. Two streaks of blood was pouring down his face now and though both cuts burned, given the adrenaline that coursed through his veins, he could hardly feel it. 

Seeing as how the man wasn't about to stop in his onslaught, Kaji pulled back his right fist as he reared it back in preparation to deck the lavender haired man across the face. He wouldn't just hit him one time however. He would literally beat the man unconscious since that seemed to be his only choice of recourse. Or so had been the plan. Hearing a snap echo throughout the warehouse, Kaji's senses alerted him to something being wrong. The snapping noise had been loud enough where anyone could have heard it yet the sound-waves of said incident bounced around sporadically though the near empty warehouse. Visibly confused, Kaji eyes darted around momentarily before the cat man was suddenly struck by something falling from above. Stars flashing before his eyes as whatever had struck him bounced harmlessly away, Kaji went from highly alert and ready to instantly seeing stars and unconscious. His body tried keep him steady but the man was knocked straight out from the sudden impact. Swaying in a dazed fashion, Kaji's body fell forward on top the man he presently mounted and would remain unmoving as he laid upon him. 


Everything had been coming up Kaji during the fight, yet there had been something he hadn't considered. When he had launched his knife at the robot-thing initially, the blade had flown wildly up into the air. Being that it disappeared into the darkness above, Kaji hadn't thought much of where it had gone. Being that it had been deflected, the blade flew upwards at a rather shockingly fast pace and clipped the rope which happened to hold one of the many hanging lights in the old warehouse. It hadn't been enough to take the thing down completely....but given the weight of the fixture it supported...it had only been a matter of time. And when the time came for when the thread that held the lamp couldn't support it's weight any longer....well the rest was history.
