Hacking for Dummies [Closed + Aya]

Talk about a rude awakening. Partially screaming as he lurched forward, Kaji's eyes were wide and wild as he tried to get a handle on his surroundings. Being that he was a man with very pronounced cat-like features, he wasn't one who particularly enjoyed being splashed with water. Which was why when Aya had decided to douse the man in a bottle of it, Kaji senses had been shocked alive. Breathing heavily as his eyes darted back and forth, Kaji's quick pupils began to settle down after about ten seconds and the man began to calm down as his sights had finally begun to focus on Aya. The man in corner seemed bored at best and contemplative at worst which made Kaji wonder exactly what might have been going through the man's mind. 

"Who...who are you??" Kaji asked as his left hand went up to his forehead as he tried to recall the events before he'd been knocked out. A knot on the side of his head seemed to throb painfully with each pulse of his heart but that was the least of his worries. Considering he had just whacked hard across the head the man found that his memories were beyond fuzzy. Speaking of which....wasn't there something he was supposed to be doing? Questioning himself as his mind tried to sort through the painful white noise of his mind, Kaji could only palm his forehead as he tried his best to remember. There was his group. His squad. And they....did something to him right? Yeah...they did.....is what he wanted to say.

And then came the water.

The water was familiar.

He had been thrown into it.

And considering that he was still wet.....it could only mean one thing.

".....Did....Did you save me...?" Kaji asked the man who was the only other person in the room.

"Yeah....I......uh....what happened..?" Kaji managed to mutter as his hand still gripped his hurting head. The spot by which he got hit was especially tender but that was nothing compared to the throbbing pain that coursed through his noggin with each beat of his heart. Actually now that he actually had a moment to take stock of everything, why did his body hurt too? Like his head had been what hurt the most but thanks the shock of having water splashed on him he hadn't really noticed the horrible pain every muscle in his body was presently in. When that happened, that meant that his quirk had been in use. But....that didn't make sense. Why did he use his quirk. And better yet, why couldn't he remember anything!? Everything was fuzzy for the man. Yet the focus of everything was slowly starting to shift due to his persistence. Concentrating on his thoughts as his mind struggled to replay the events that led him here Kaji blocked out everything as he began to retrace his steps. Half ignoring the threats the man lobbed his way, a flash of realization shot across the cat man's face.



"I WAS TOTALLY ABOUT TO KICK YOUR ASS!" Kaji added as his brain began to recall the fight the two of them had just been in. He remembered the guards and the things that they actually turned out to be. He remembered how hard they were to face and how they seemed to have a myriad of dangerous features installed in them. And then he remembered that he had managed to straddle the man who he now faced and almost beat. But what he didn't remember was how he'd been knocked out. Though thinking about it, he supposed that detail really didn't matter. 

"Somehow I suppose." 

"You must have cheated though." Kaji said casually with a light sigh. With his memories returned, Kaji's eyes first quickly took stock of the place, then Aya, and then finally....himself. Glancing down at his shirt which was now soaked from collar down to about halfway to his chest. Kaji quickly wrapped his arms around himself as though to hide his shame. Though he didn't have assets that he really needed to hide, it was hard for Kaji to act in a manner other than this.

"Y-Y-You....you didn't do anything to me while I was sleeping right Micheal Jackson.....?" Kaji asked in a rather nervous fashion. Given the man's fashion choice and Kaji's initial perceptions of him, the cat man couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive around the man. 

Or so Kaji's expression would have said as he looked at the man with shocked eyes. How dare he say something so scandalous about Kaji! Kaji would NEVER do such a thing! At least not without a good reason! And stopping his death at the hands of some creepy dolls was as good a reason as any right!? Right! This is what made the man's words so much more outrageous! Not only did he make it sound like Kaji had forced himself upon him! But he also was trying to act like Kaji WANTED to do it! Oh no no no. Looky here mister! Kaji didn't swing that way! Sure he was flippant, eccentric, and a likely had a screw or two loose since going through the biggest betrayal he had ever experienced in his life but those things TOTALLY didn't matter! Kaji wasn't the one in the wrong here! It was the creepy purple haired man! Or so he would've yelled back but Kaji was the mature one here. Which is why he simply donned a smug smile and gave the man a little shrug.

"Ah whatever..." Kaji started as he started as he began to pick himself up and off the floor.

"You didn't do anything right? Or so I would gather from your reaction. Which in that case tells me that I can rest easy. I'm not really in the mood for trying to fight ya again so how about we let bygones be bygones?" Kaji would offer as he gazed at the man. Considering the man hadn't killed him or done anything too horrible, aside from splashing him with water, Kaji didn't think the dude was up for throwing hands again. But even as he thought the man wouldn't attack, he made sure to keep his senses sharp.

"So I suppose as far as I'm concerned I guess we're both good huh?" He'd flash the guy a light hearted smile as any thought of the man's creepy persuasions left his mind. "And since we're both good I guess I should get goin- OOWOOooooahahHHHH!!"

Moving towards the door that was conveniently positioned behind Aya, Kaji's body in absolute mocking fashion gave out on him. Given that he'd just used his quirk for a short time, one would think that the drawbacks attributed to using it might have been a tad severe. All his muscles in his body ached and his legs felt like absolute mush. He couldn't really walk well and that had been further emphasized by the fact that he hadn't even taken a full step before he began to fall over. Desperately trying to save himself from the fall, Kaji fought as hard as he could to try and get his other leg to respond and stop himself from falling forward. Yet such efforts were in vain as he headed straight towards a certain man who likely wouldn't have been pleased by this development. Moving his arms which seemed to be about the only thing that wanted to respond, Kaji instantly moved them to try and grab hold of the nearest thing which again....just so happened to be Aya. If he was lucky he would succeed.

"I-I-I-I-I'm sorry!" Kaji stammered out as he glanced quickly up at Aya.

With tears forming in his eyes. Kaji felt like he was at his wits upon his decision to leave the room. With the cost of the man's help absolutely unobtainable, the cat-boy felt like the world was closing in on him. He had expected the guy to be impressed with the display he had put on earlier but considering he had been knocked out in such a anti-climatic way, it really sort of put an emphasis less on the fact that cat was rather capable and more of a nuisance. Ironically enough however, the cherry on top of their whole encounter had been when Kaji's legs had given out on him. Forgetting the immense strain even a rather short usage of his quirk put on his body, Kaji couldn't help but fall. And because he couldn't help but fall, he couldn't help but be frustrated. With most of his money being used on trying to find a hacker while at the cafe and not having many options at this point, Kaji figured he could probably just slowly slink away under some random bridge somewhere to lick his wounds both quietly and alone. Yet his body not even letting him retain what little pride he had left, he couldn't hold back the floodgates. This whole revenge thing was clearly coming along rather well.

"I really didn't mean for this to happen." Kaji quickly added as he tried to move his arms to push his body off of Aya's Yet like with his legs, his body didn't want to respond.

"I swear...this isn't me." Kaji struggled to say quietly as he felt small streams start to trace down his cheeks. "But....my body can't move."

"...Can you like....just put me outside or something?" He said in a quiet and meek voice as he lowered his gaze afraid to look at the guy while his tears fell. "....I'm sorry for the inconvenience..." 

Today had completely fallen apart. Kaji wasn't usually one who wallowed in his emotions, but everything just suddenly felt it was a bit too much for him. The weight of his vengeance truly weighed heavily on his conscience. It was something he told himself that he needed to do. But actually carrying it out was another story. His muddled thoughts were further agitated by the fact that he didn't have much of anything. He had no money. No home. His brother was dead. And to top it all off, he couldn't even exit a meeting gracefully. He had tried to show the man his use, but that had been entirely short lived. Hell, the other guy didn't even need to take it upon himself to knock Kaji out himself. What did Kaji in was his own shitty luck. Wasn't that the story of his life though?

Tears flowing as he began to snuggle his face into the chest of the other man, Kaji couldn't stop the tears. He tried to shut off the water works seeing as how he had already shown the man how useless he truly was...what was the point. If he could at least enjoy the presence of another person for a little while longer, Kaji would indulge himself in it. His friends had betrayed him. His only family had been killed. It was only him. The world was a lonely place after all. Even if he knew on the inside that the man he was currently pressed up against was likely freaked out by the display, Kaji had done his best by telling the man to just throw him out of the building. Yet the man hadn't. He did indeed seemed shocked, but he asked Kaji if what was happening was because of his quirk. Kaji gazed up at the man for a second wondering how he knew before giving him a slow nod. "Y-Y-Yeah....." He forced out in-between sniffles as he turned his eyes back down. "Usually it hurts quite a bit....but it's normally not this bad..."

"Then again..." Kaji began as he forced a smile onto his face while tears still fell, "I haven't actually used my quirk in quite awhile..."

"I guess my body isn't use to the blow back anymore..." Kaji added quietly as he again looked away from the man.

Hearing Aya suddenly talk about proper compensation, Kaji quickly turned his head to look up at the man once more. Wondering where exactly the man was going with such a statement, Kaji tilted his head slightly towards the lavender haired puppet master. "Well...I mean. I wasn't trying to be a burden to you. I was just trying to show off my skills a little to you...." Kaji said quietly as he again lowered his stare. "It was supposed to impress you.....or so I hoped. I wasn't trying to actually fight you though. I just thought....once you saw what I was capable of....that maybe...."

"Iunno...that maybe you might be willing to help me..." Kaji tacked on softly as he again avoided the man's eyes.

"But please believe me though!" Kaji then piped up suddenly as he turned to look up at the man. "I promise to do my best to pay you back for everything."

".....Regardless what you might ask of me...." Kaji whispered quietly as he bit his lower lip softly.

Kaji felt really useless right now. Like much more useless than he had before and even then he had felt that he had just about reached rock bottom. Fully revealing his weakness, Kaji wasn't sure how he was supposed to act at this point. He really felt like a piece of shit crying in front of another guy but he still tried to salvage what remained of his dignity. Considering however that his little display had pretty much destroyed what minute amount remained well...he wasn't feeling all that good. Or so had been the case until the man he'd been in the arms of suddenly uttered words he thought he would never hear. Using what little strength of his that remained, Kaji tilted his head upwards as a look a wonder overcame his face. He initially thought that the guy was going to perform the bare minimum and maybe just set him on the general right direction...but no. The guy was actually going to fully provide him with what he was looking for. Which is why Kaji quickly activated his quirk once more and gave the guy a hug. He had been careful not to exert too much power as to not harm to man, but being that Marion was opting to help him out, Kaji wanted to make sure the guy knew he really appreciated the help. Even with his quirk activated, his body ached all over, but that wasn't important right now. What was important to Kaji was showing his gratitude. With arms moving rather suddenly, Kaji wouldn't give the guy time to react to the warm embrace. It was one filled with hope, desperation, and all around happiness.

"Thank you...." Kaji mumbled embarrassingly under his breath as he hugged the man. He knew that with every good deed one needed to be properly thanked for it which was why he displayed the guy such affection. He would have licked the guy's cheeks as his instincts so instructed him to do, but Kaji felt like if he attempted to do that...he wouldn't have a tongue in the following minutes afterwards. Which was why he only opted for just a rather neutral show of appreciation. The moment wouldn't last long however as Kaji would disengage his quirk rather quickly due to the side effects and backlash. His body would be instantly decimated by the pain in a few short moments afterwards, but like he said. He had to show his thanks. Still given he had a few short seconds before the pain came, Kaji would use his short time to answer the guy's second comment hopefully before he was seized by the cost of his quirk. 

"No where....to be honest." Kaji replied as he lowered his eyes.

"But like I said before! You can just toss me outside. After the backlash of my quirk I'll find somewhere to go!" Kaji replied happily as he cast the guy a bright smile.

"After all, I always found a place in the past!"
