...Well this was unexpected. Sitting quietly in the small room alone was Kaji. The light from his computer screen flickered across his face as his eyes darted back and forth across the screen. His tail swayed playfully back and forth as his fingers danced across the keyboard. Being that he had been at this for several days already, one might have called him dedicated. Quite frankly however, he was likely retarded. A few days ago he came to this Internet Cafe with the explicit purpose of finding a capable hacker. Now that idea hadn't been retarded but the method by which he was going about it likely was. Kaji didn't waste any time diving into the shadiest parts of the net to include the dark web. The rocks he flipped over in his attempts to find that which he was looking for was by no means subtle. The poked bears, shook beehives, and given that he hadn't moved in the last couple of days it was surprising that nothing had happened...yet. Had Kaji been well-versed in the ways of the interwebs, he might have been smarter in the way he approached this situation. But given Kaji's very limited exposure with things like internet security or safety, what he had essentially done was put a big target on his back. Regardless how you might have perceived this situation, it was destined to end but a single way. Badly. Hence, you can imagine Kaji's surprise the moment a text box forced itself open onto his screen. Kaji yelped as he jumped backwards and fell out of his short chair onto his back. Hair standing on end, Kaji slowly pulled himself upright as he slowly moved his eyes to peek at the message that stared him in his face. On it was a single word. Staring at the word, Kaji wasn't exactly whether or not he should respond...but slowly brought himself to hit Three keys on the board before hitting enter and wondering what in the world was going on. Every bone in his body told him to ignore the message. But how could he!? He was a fucking cat. And you know what they say about cats and curiousity!~ |

...Well this was unexpected. ...And rather irritating.
For someone to actually be this dumb, like, this had to be some super dedicated troll, surely? Aya sighed irritably, emptying the bottle of iced tea and throwing it in the bin near the door, before looking at the multiple pages he had open. So, for the last few days, some person was doing every dumb thing to try and apparently "Find a good hacker" which, sure, it got the attention of probably every underground hacker going, but it also meant whoever this guy was (knowing how things went, it was probably another dumb 17 year old child playing villain.) was attracting a lot of attention of possibly authorities and heroes by not having any sense of internet security with his search. In essence, the oaf was leaving a clear trail leading any hero who found it straight to him, something that could get the whole of the dark side of the Japanese web into a lot of trouble if he carried on, and someone had to shut him down before that happened. Aya had volunteered to do it, mainly because he had some spare time, but also he was sort of curious incase this wasn't a teenage troll he (and everyone else) assumed it was, seeing as this person logged in from the same internet cafe for a few days now, so most likely some runaway kid who was living out of a internet cafe. It was easiest just to hack into and use the messaging system the cafe used to tell clients of time being used up and the sort to talk to this guy, just incase this was some elaborate trap set up by police. Which is what led him to this conversation he was having right now.

Blinking at the screen as his anticipation continued to build, Kaji was actually surprised.
He was not dead.
Not that he wanted to be mind you!
It's just that the internet was supposed to be a place filled with scary things. Yet, now that he had a chance to sit back, breathe, and let his nerves settle down. He realized that this situation wasn't actually all that bad. It was only that a complete stranger had somehow managed to access his terminal and was presently communicating with him. Coming to that small realization, Kaji's body seemed to freeze. Time seemed to stop around him as a soft ping echoed in the room. It was the man's reply. Reading it slowly, the response only served to reinforce the notion that had slowly started to form inside the man. This man was likely a hacker. And ergo... .

Pun intended. But anywho! If this guy could hack into a random place like this and track a guy like Kaji down didn't that mean he was likely a pretty big deal!? The answer to that question was quite obviously no. But given that Kaji again hadn't a clue about computer his eyes were shining and his enthusiasm levels were presently through the roof. Half tempted to do a victoriously little jig in the small confided room he'd been afforded, Kaji restrained himself as he tried to bring what little composure he had back to himself. With stars twinkling energetically in front of his face as he read through the man's message again, Kaji's passion began to quickly cool as he reached a sudden impasse. Even if this guy was indeed what he'd been looking for. How did he enlist in his aid? From the looks of things, the guy hardly seemed amused or willing to talk which meant that Kaji was presently facing a rather big challenge. He needed to send the man something that would compel him to his side. Something that would convince him that Kaji was worth his time. He needed to send him something like... This. Hi.

A tired sigh left his lips as he shook his head to himself, a hand running through waves of violet hair. Why did people like this exist? Why didn't they just prune themselves out of the life stream? Why was it now down to people like him to have to deal with them? Ugh... He backtracked the IP address, it wasn't all that far away from here but he guessed randomly killing a person in a public place might be a little reckless, it wasn't the same as killing a Yakuza member who was very unlikely to report it to the police.
What a hassle.
He had to somehow get this guy to leave that place and go somewhere far more ideal to be disposed of. Right. So he had to play along with this damn troll for a little longer, and failing that he would have to monitor him and find an opening to take him out. Whichever really.

Oh? Well it seemed like this new hacker friend was apparently more willing to help than he assumed. As he had waited for the man's reply, Kaji really wasn't feeling all that hot about having to take pictures for the person on the other side of the screen. But...considering this was all for his raison d'etre. Without having a place he could call a definitive starting line there really wasn't any telling how long he'd pointlessly spin his wheels around Japan. Given the popularity of The Alley Cats, it was relatively easy to catch stories about them in the local papers. But those were only highlights. Like with any official acting body, their present activities were shrouded in mystery while only their past achievements were highlighted. The nature of their profession was one where information was power. If they spoon fed the press a list of their current activities that could and likely would jeopardize all their operations. Which was why Kaji had decided to resort to this. He needed an information broker...or at least a guide to point him in the right direction.
Considering the grudge he held against his former friends...

To be honest, Aya wasn't sure what to think anymore about all this.
For a troll, whoever he was talking to seemed to have too specific and niche an agenda. An affiliate group attached to a Pro-Hero agency?? So not a pro hero, but...a group who worked for them. Right. It was suspicious to say the very least, but at the same time it was odd enough a request there was around a 5% chance it may be genuine. That didn't change the fact the idiot should probably be disposed of for causing so much potential issues while trying to seek the help, but... Aya couldn't deny he wasn't sure if this was for sure, a troll anymore.
He guessed he would let it talk more and find out. If the price was right (and not nudes, something he had no use for unless it was some super famous person he could blackmail them with) he wasn't totally against doing a job, just... after he taught them some lessons in internet security. The fact the person was saying SUPER EASY that may times was making him feel like it may not be that...easy however.

Staring at his screen for a second, Kaji crossed his arms along his chest as he closed his eyes in quiet contemplation. The message he had gotten back had been a rather curious one. Reading it, the guy on the other side had asked a very interesting question. But it wasn't really one that Kaji could answer. It had been three years since he'd had a falling out with his old squad, but from everything he read, they had only positive press. It had taken Kaji awhile to steel his resolve for the task he was about to undertake, but he had been keeping tabs on what the group had been up to. After he'd been 'dispatched' from their ranks the group quickly grew in both notoriety and fame. Their impact on Tokyo was close to reaching a head when miraculously they had found a hero agency that had apparently decided to take them in. With the backing of an official hero, the group had then become free to do as they pleased. Within reason of course. The pass they had been granted apparently hadn't gone to their heads however. From every headline that came out about them, they were apparently bastions of justice. That however didn't mesh with what Kaji knew about them. His final impressions of them were that they had given into their carnal desires and that they weren't about to let anyone stop them from realizing their goals. Or so he had thought. But publicly, their records had been squeaky clean. Though positive that they likely had done several unethically things, Kaji had no proof to back it up. Which was why he wasn't about to ask his new hacker friend to try and find a needle in a haystack. No. Asking that of his new friend would have been a bit much. Rather than that however, he was going to ask for something much simpler. Hi.

The Alley cats? To be honest, Aya didn't really pay much attention to heroes and the like in Kanto (okay, he hardly knew the villains active in Kanto either for that matter, only the top 10 that really mattered.) so he had no idea who these people were. He typed it into search, a few headlines came up they seemed to be some kind of contracted sidekick group or similar, something like that. And so wait, this person didn't really need any information that was hard to get about this group, just their location?? Where they that hard to find? Many unanswered questions started to fill his mind as he speed read the articles. It was apparently some cat themed? Or were they cats? ...Either way, some group of guys with a cat theme who did good things. It all sounded pretty dumb. Ugh, he was starting to really hate fucking cats recently, it was like some damn curse where cats seemed to be involved everywhere he went. He was still rather confused as to why the other needed help locating them, surely if one stalked the hero they were connected to long enough, they could find them?
I wouldn't task a complete stranger with something so impossible. Rather than that, all I want is a location.~

Finger tapping lightly on his keyboard, Kaji was legitimately torn. Considering who he was talking to he silently debated whether he should spill the beans or not. It would have made the nature of their interactions crystal clear but there was one big thing that was presently stopping him. The person on the other side of the screen was someone he didn't know. A complete unknown. About the only thing he did know about this person was that they were skilled at hacking. That was all. That was hardly a qualifying reason to divulge his intentions. Which was why Kaji had a rather serious expression resting on his face right now. Crossing his arms along his chest Kaji slowly weighed his options. On one hand it would make the guy understand why he wanted to do things discreetly yet on the other...the dude might instantly sell him out. Yeah.
He couldn't do it.

Kaji's cat-like smile grew several sizes as he pressed the enter key and shot the message across cyberspace. He wasn't being needlessly whimsical because he simply liked it mind you! Well....he kinda liked it. But! That honestly wasn't the only reason he was being coy. Even a dumbass like himself knew how serious the consequences would be for someone who was contemplating what he was. He wasn't going to meet the Alley Cats out of some innocent child-like curiosity. The Cats and him had history. Bad history. History so deep that he used to almost be willing to kill for them. Unfortunately however, fate was ever ironic. Winding up literally dead by their hands, Kaji would have almost been willing to let his ill-timed demise go. Yet they hadn't just killed him. They killed his little brother too. It would have been one thing had the group simply took their malice out on Kaji alone. Yet the only thing he had loved more than the group itself had been the only other family he had known. And yet that one love went and killed his other. He'd grappled with that fact for a few years now but recently he'd finally decided that he really couldn't just let it go. A group by his making had destroyed that which he had loved. Which was now why he was going to do what he should have done all those years ago and finally rectify his mistakes. ...

Aya blinked. He was still uncertain of a few things, the main one being if this guy was just a idiot who was serious, or seriously an idiot. There was an equal 50/50 chance of the person he was talking to being either. But hey, the perfect opportunity to do his initial aim of meeting up with this troll had been dropped on his lap by no other than the troll themselves. This was starting to smell a little like a trap, as it had been so easy. Aya sat back, thinking about it for a moment. Well, as long as they met somewhere that he controlled, so knew there were no backups/police/heroes hiding in the shadows...it should be fine. Around a 20% risk. Well within the permitted parameters to proceed. He pushed himself back up to an upright position.

Just kidding!~ It really was all rather simple. Having received the man's response, Kaji had no reason to refuse. Of course, had he been a smarter man he honestly should have been a bit more cautious about meeting people from the internet. However being that he had never been properly educated on that front, he really couldn't see any reason why not! The individual seemed to be willing to help him which honestly was more than enough for the cat man who didn't really have high standards for people. Being that the guy on the other side of the screen hadn't known him for more than five minutes, Kaji was honestly genuinely surprised. Considering his request, he hadn't thought that the person would have readily accepted. Being that he was looking for information on heroes from people who who could obtain it illegally would have screamed to most people that Kaji was likely going to do something highly suspect. Which was why was Kaji was highly grateful. He really didn't think he would have found someone so willing to help so fast and because of that he could only offer the person on the other side his undying gratitude. But just to make things clear, what Kaji was doing wasn't wrong. It was justice. Justice for the wrongs that had been committed against both him and his brother. Yeah...

It had to be. In any case, typing back a quick and short response complete with his cell number, Kaji promptly rose from his chair and left the seclusion of the small room he had been in. Finding his way towards the front desk, Kaji casually tried to walk out of the place when he heard a rather loud cough as a man cleared his throat. Gulping slightly as he donned the nicest smile he could, Kaji slowly turned his head towards the source and found a man with the MANAGER tag standing behind the counter with a pair of no nonsense eyes staring towards him. Pointing a finger at Kaji, the man's finger turned as he motioned for the cat boy to approach the desk. Laughing nervously as he walked towards the man, Kaji's eyes widened at the man grabbed the scruff of his shirt's collar and sneered angrily at him. Continuing to laugh nervously at the man, Kaji quickly pulled out his wallet and began to pull several bills out of it. Less than five minutes later, Kaji was walking down the street with a heavy head as he let out a small sigh. Given the state of his finances paying for the time of the room had wiped him out. Not that he was by any means broke...yet. But Japan wasn't cheap ya know!? Still though! He couldn't wallow in misery! Today had been a good day! He'd gotten the lead he'd wanted! Of course it had taken longer than he had hoped but the moment the guy got in contact with him he'd be on his way! Yay!!!!~ |

Oh.What?When the person he had been talking to agreed and sent Aya his phone number, he was in a state of mild confusion. He was pretty damn sure this was a trap now, ugh. How annoying, he had ended up signing up for a far more flashy job (killing some police detective or pro hero) then he had first anticipated. Great. Well, it was a little too late to pull out now, he was pretty sure if it was some police sting then they had his tail already and if he failed to show up, they would just come to find him. So all he could do was go forwards, meaning he'd just confirm it was what he suspected and kill his way out/run away. He stood up, grabbing his villain mask he stashed in his pocket before he put his black surgical mask on, before walking over to where his large, teenage boy sized marionettes sat. Placing a hand on each, they sprung to life, getting to their feet smoothly. It might be a bit overkill, but he didn't care, he was going to go fully armed as he had no idea what was going to happen next. Taking his ID, one of the few things he would need should he not be able to come back here, he looked around the apartment before leaving, the two dolls following him. Kimi, the blonde one dressed in black and purples while Ore, the silver haired one dressed in black and red, their hair and hats partially obscuring their faces enough so they didn't look so blatantly unhuman. Aya had sent the other person the place to meet to the number he had been given, the fact it showed as received meant it probably was at least a working number. It was one of the warehouses he was used to near the docklands, it was important for him to be familiar with the area incase he needed to escape and well..it wasn't like he could go through buildings to escape so his life was a little harder as a mere emitter user as he had to escape by foot.

It was a warehouse.
Eyes blinking several times as he glanced around the area, Kaji's eyes slowly settled back onto the sight before him as he wondered if he'd wound up at the wrong place. Simply punching in the coordinates the guy had provided for him, Kaji had expected someplace a bit nicer. Like a cafe or even a family diner. Yet neither of those places had been where he'd wound up and to be quite frank, he was rather disappointed. Maybe this had all been an elaborate prank. He couldn't help the thought from springing up from the back of his mind and even thought he was ever the hopeful optimist, even he couldn't deny reality when faced with it. Still though even if today's prospects might have been nothing more than a wild goose chase there had been one big silver lining! His actions hadn't gone unnoticed. Even if today was a bust there was always tomorrow! Yup yup yup! Which was why he was gonna keep his chin up! Besides! Today wasn't over yet! And who knew! He might be pleasantly surprised by the outcome! Or so he hoped!~
Peeking his head slightly inside the entrance, the first thing Kaji noticed was that the place was rather dark. The second thing he quickly picked up on was the fact that the place seemed completely abandoned. It was rather empty aside from the random garbage littered here and there but aside from that...it was mostly empty. Stepping cautiously inside, Kaji kept his head moving as his eyes searched for any signs of life. Not because he was scared of being attacked but rather because he feared the opposite. If there really wasn't anyone here then that would have meant his worst fears had been realized and he'd been completely duped. Which was why rather than trying to sniff out and search for the person he was supposed to meet, Kaji just decided to flat out announce his presence. "Hellooooooo?"
"Is anyone here?" Kaji asked curiously as he again glanced around looking for any sign of life.

Oh, so someone had just triggered the silent security system in the warehouse, meaning it was probably the troll from the internet. And seeing as it was only once...there were no back ups? He possibly was actually alone? Still rather skeptical, Aya walked into the industrial estate as he switched between his surgical mask to his villain one. It was an abandoned bunch of warehouses and small factories, it was very unlikely anyone would be about, apart from himself and whoever triggered the alarm. Ore and Kimi followed behind him like a strange, silent gothic lolita entourage. The hacker disabled all the inner alarms, just leaving the ones by the windows on as he approached the building before a twitch of his finger made the blonde doll, Kimi walk in front of him, opening the door to the warehouse and walk in, followed by Aya and Ore on his right. It was dark inside. Was the other looking to ambush him or something?? He frowned, a few small movements of his right hand sent Ore towards the light switch behind him and flicked it on. He didn't even need to look at where it was, he already knew from the several times he had been in here. With a small humm, the lights flickered on and then he saw the other person near the back of the warehouse. Well, he saw the back of their head and silhouette at least. Was this the troll from the internet?? Aya simply stood there, staring at the other as Kimi moved in front of him, incase he made any sudden moves. |

The flick echoed softly through the warehouse as the lights inside slowly came to light. Unlike the lights which slowly took their time to come on, Kaji instantly whipped his head towards the source of the sound. What he saw was....a bit odd. It was a man. Followed by a small entourage or smaller kids? Was this guy a Micheal Jackson wannabe? Eyeing the getup of the kids that flanked the man, Kaji's left eye slowly began to twitch at seeing the lolita-like gear the lads had been garbed in. Was Kaji getting involved with a weirdo...? He certainly hoped not! Pushing those thoughts out of his mind as he quickly wiped his face clean of any judgement that might have bled through, Kaji put on a bright smile as he raised a hand to wave at the guy.
"Hi hi!!~" Kaji said with a bright smile that showed off his canines. Of course they weren't so pronounced to be weird but they were definitely just a tad longer due to his cat-like qualities. He adopted a rather casual and friendly aura as he slowly began to close the gap between the man. "My name's Kaji! Kaji Aogeitou! That's my name and cat's my game! Or so I tend to tell people! But it works as a pretty good ice breaker!" Kaji added with a light laugh as he stopped a few meters from the man. Given that the man seemed cautious enough to bring two of his posse along with him to greet Kaji, the cat boy didn't want to risk scaring the guy away. Not that Kaji looked at that scary to begin with! Given his cute ears and his fluffy tail, Kaji was anything but! Plus seeing as how he was dressed fairly casually, it should have been clear from the outset that Kaji wasn't looking for a fight! All he had on a pair of casual blue jeans, a black shirt, and a black windbreaker coat that was there to protect him from the harshness of winter. But aside from that (and the small little knife that was tucked deep in the inside jacket pocket of his big coat) Kaji was completely harmless!
"So what about you mister mystery man?" Kaji asked as he continued to smile towards the purple haired stranger. "Do ya got a name? And also I'm surprised you decided to bring your crew! I would have brought mine along to keep yours company if I'd known!~"
