Jun Tomoshibi was sitting on a bench on the school grounds, going through the incredible amounts of internship offers he had on his laptop. He was really running out of time. It was on the weekend, but he didn't plan on going anywhere. Actually, with the school's permission, his twin brother would be coming here to visit. And thankfully, they had handicap accessible areas, as quirks are all different and thus even a technically handicapped person can be a fine hero, however unlikely. But then, his twin brother was hoping to enroll in UA as well, but only after he had caught up with his studies and if he regained his ability to walk. And they had some good news on that front.
But right now, he laid down on his stomach, wearing a blue tank top and a short sleeved, open pale pink shirt, and had on pale yellow sport shorts, with flip flops rounding out his outfit. He was having some major issues trying to find a good one. But the sports festival champ also got him a bunch of no names and low ranking heroes practically begging for his attention and hoping that he would intern with them. Yeah right. So far, he had Firebrand's agency in his "think about" folder, but that was about it. The guy was an elemental hero, and even a teacher here, but mostly deals with second and third year students. Aside from his fairly good status as a hero, he was a good choice for an internship. But the blond also wanted to see who else had good offers. He almost felt a presence coming towards him, and looked up, hoping to see his twin brother. He was disappointed though...

Despite being being neither well known or equally the opposite, X always felt as though people were constantly looking at him as the other. Whether it was his lack of homogeneous Japanese features like the rest or the fact that he was the second year that should have been a third year, most of the fears that he had were completely and totally within his own mind. In fact while he did stand out on the street, there was the simple fact that in a world where a person's quirk could cause them to have lizard scales and a vulpine head, genetically tame features such as the color of one's skin were considered especially mundane. That being the case, while X did notice the kid rather haphazardly (by his own estimation) strewn about the school grounds but he didn't overly give it much thought.
Or at least he didn't want to. Half of the issue with his own quirk was that a stray thought often became a matter of focus for one of the two halves and part of his coping mechanism for such quirks within his quirk was to constantly be focusing on something or another, hence the book open and held just high enough for him to read yet still watch where he was going. His focus was the bench under rather large tree that could provide both shade and equally hadn't been pooped on by the birds above.
The weather was good enough for the sneakers, cargo shorts and t-shirt that he wore but frolicking in the grass like that one kid . . . too risky, one could break their neck if a meteorite fell from the sky and hit them. It was a 1 in a 1,600,000 chance, true, but for the phenomena to be a statistic, there had to be a possibility. Sitting down and setting his backpack beside him on the bench that could seat three, X flipped to the next page in book detailing the latest technological studies about the world of prosthetic limbs. Reaching in his bag to pull out his notepad and pencil, a stray thought crossed his mind about the statistical probability of him spontaneously combusting and off his mind went. By the time he found what he was looking for, he was pretty sure that he ought not to stick around under the tree for long least a lightning strike occur on this otherwise perfect day. Such things were a possibility and the last thing that he wanted to do was lose another year of study.

"Oh come now, you could at least pretend we didn't ruin your whole day."
A feigned look of offense quickly fell off of Paco's face, shooting a grin at the first year before continuing his stroll behind Xavier as if they had been walking together this whole time. In truth, he had been in an intense stare-down with the vending machine when his fellow second year passed by. See, the dreaded box had eaten his money and offered nothing in return, not even the poor excuse for a café it boasted. He had just deduced the right spot to slug the machine to get back his ransomed drink… oh, and not just one, but two! An interest payment, he mused before trotting behind the support student with visions of capes and perhaps and upgrade to his Kings fluttering through his mind. Such dreams had been interrupted as he caught sight of Jun's blonde head poking barely a foot off the ground, his emerald eyes clearly agitated by the arrival of the two older boys, prompting Paco's good-natured jest.
Slinging his messenger bag off of his shoulder and onto the far side of the bench, Paco sat between it and Xavier's back pack and extended one of the caffeinated beverages to his classmate. "A thank you, for the Kings, they're exactly what I had hoped for." His tone was jovial and casual, as if he hadn't just intruded on the other boy's reading - and in fact, his afternoon. "They ought to have just kept you in year three, with that brain of yours." Paco rattled on as he licked his thumb to rub off a scuff mark from his shoe, a pair of tan vans. He'd played a round of tennis earlier that morning with Guillermo, evidenced by the handle of the racket sticking out of his bag. He had changed the rest of his attire since then, now sporting pale turquoise trousers cuffed at the ankle with a brown belt and a well-fitting light yellow linen polo tucked in. Peering through his wide-rimmed glasses at his watch, he then returned his gaze to Jun. Whether the boy had moved his attention elsewhere or not, Paco would extend the second sugary drink to the boy.
"A peace offering, for the champion." There was no malice in his tone, no indication that this was meant to mock the younger boy. In fact, it was quite the opposite; Paco had been making his rounds among the first years, making the most of his chance encounters, but Jun had been on his list. How fortuitous to run into him so soon. Now to see if he would take the bait…

It had come as some surprise to Yui to find herself with several different and competing offers of internship to deal with. She had not expected it to be honest, since her performance in the UA Sports Festival though better than she expected... Had been poor overall. Her Quirk did not lend itself to direct combat, though at least she was able to function in the face of that crowd. Somehow it would have been much worse if she had not been able to do so. Yui was glad she kept her musical talents out of the festival however, it would send entirely the wrong message about her Quirk and about how she wanted to be a hero. Perhaps things would have been easier if she had been granted a Quirk more in line with her talents. However, such was the nature of life, plus it was pretty cool to be able to pass through solid barriers. Doors as well as windows were problems for other people. Downside was she really never had an excuse for being late anywhere.
She had chosen her own internship ages ago, though Yui being the quiet individual she was away from her guitar and stage had not really told anyone about it. Yui was going to work with a music hero at his agency, not simply because they shared an interest in song and sound, but also as on their books there happened to be a hero with a similar Quirk to Yui's. It seemed therefore the best fit in order to learn more, plus it might help to make her more confident. Yui lost in her own private though, noticed after sitting down on the grass to enjoy the sun that her classmate Jun was around as well as two older boys who she did not know who happened to be near him. The petite student considered calling out hello or going over to them... But decided against it. If he was hanging out with his friends he might be embarrassed or annoyed that someone from his class just strolled up bold as brass. Plus Yui was never good at speaking to others, she always said the wrong thing, or did the wrong thing or genuinely made some kind of mistake. Sure she could play to a large crowd with her guitar but speak to a handful of people? Nope.

Two students walking up to him. One seemed preoccupied with a book, but sat down next to him. Probably just needing a semi-quiet place to read. The other one actually commented about Jun's look. "I'm expecting someone..." This one seemed more eccentric instead of straight laced like his bench partner. Sitting up, but going into a cross-legged stance, he put his laptop in his lap. The other boy commented to the other one, stating that they should have kept him in year 3. So the bookworm got held back for some reason? Not that it was any of his business. The blond scooted over to make room. With his small size, a third person could sit on the bench and still be comfortable.
The third member of their little party also offered him a drink, and made a comment that clearly meant that Jun was known to him. "I don't even know you...but I won't say no to a free drink..." The blond took it. And couldn't help but wonder what this guy's aim was. Where the other one seemed like a straight-laced bookworm, and there was nothing wrong with that, this guy seemed like a schemer of sorts...
~
"You know, even if those are his friends, he won't say no to some extra company..." A voice behind Yui sounded. If she turned around, she'd see almost another version of Jun in a wheelchair behind her. Except his blond hair was longer and tied in a pony-tail and had blue eyes instead of green. But otherwise, the face was the same, and appeared to have the same height if the other boy stood up. Riku Tomoshibi had on black sport shorts, yellow sneakers, blue tank-top with a sky blue open shirt over that, and grey fingerless gloves. Around his neck was a school visitor pass on a lanyard. "I'm Riku Tomoshibi, Jun's twin brother. Let's go greet him and his friends, yeah?" The wheelchair bound boy gave her an encouraging and bright smile, and held out his hand to help her up and lead her right to them. But first...the boy made a slushy ice ball, and threw it at his twin.
Jun, for his part, got hit in the back of the head. It wasn't hard or anything, and it didn't get his laptop wet...it even felt good. But he was still in shock that the sports festival champ couldn't even mutter an exclamation...

Caffeine? Paco certainly knew his audience. Nodding a thanks and taking the drink, X let his study materials sit on his lap as he opened it and took a sip. As he waited for the stimulant to kick in, he sighed and shook his head, staring off into the distance as he addressed his privileged friend. "Well, we can't all be as fortunate as you Señor Idigoras." Smirking, X chuckled as he shook his head and ribbed his classmate. Paco was one of the few students at UA that genuinely fascinated X what with his "luck" quirk and all. To X, the fact that the boy was able to consistently defy the odds time and time again was a skill that kept X up many a night trying to find a way to harness to a greater potential. For every "big brain" quip that Paco made, X was able to fire back with one equally dripping with a decadent humor fit for a "King".
Setting his drink beside himself, he picked back up his book and study materials as he went back to jotting down notes. Being able to multitask as he was, he perked up when the easy breezy blonde kid spoke up about accepting a free drink. "Trust me, the blessings runneth over when you hang out with him." Continuing to write, he flipped a page and momentarily caught movement out of the corner of his eye as he noticed two individuals a little ways away. Flicking his gaze further in that direction, he continued to write with one brain as he watched one of the two fling something in their direction. His natural instincts kicking in, the other half of his brain told him to move as it calculated about as close to a correct trajectory as it could as he tried to move despite knowing full well that he wasn't going to be able to get totally out of the way. In those precious few moments, all that X could mutter was a reserved, "Huh . . ." as he reached for his drink and attempted to duck.
OOC: I could be wrong but I'm assuming that Riku and Yui are coming from either the right or the left of X, Paco and Jun who are on the bench. Thus, a snowball would appear from a distance to be aimed at any one of the three or all three of them equally. If I'm wrong, please feel free to correct via post.

Yui jumped startled by the voice behind her, lost in her own thoughts she failed to hear anyone approach from behind her. She turned round to see who it was, finding herself looking at someone who appeared to be a near identical version of Jun from her class. At first she did not quite know what to say. "I.. I... You startled me." She said quietly, before casting a glance at Jun. "I don't know... He seems to be okay with the friends already over there." Yui replied with a shrug, she was not too sure how welcome she would be over there. After all, three was company, any more than that and it might seem a little crowded.
Jun's twin however seemed to be a lot more confident and comfortable than Yui. She looked somewhat alarmed by the idea of simply going over there. But... But would it really be so bad to do so? After all, the only way to get better at talking to people and overcome her shyness was to do it right? "I'm Yui Lynne." She introduced herself in turn, before accepting the offered hand to help her rise. "So... Erm... Have you seen me play? The guitar I mean..." She was caught off guard by Riku's sudden slushy ice ball and did not even have time to shout a warning to the other students to duck. Oh no, what if they thought this was her idea or her fault? Yet despite her panic or maybe in spite of it, Yui found it to be kinda amusing, she tried to hide her amusement at the idea of someone flinging slushy ice at the winner of sports festival. Yui herself had done better than she dared to hope in the sports festival, which in her book happened to be a win... Plus, more importantly some of her music got played, world wide.

A self-satisfied grin stretched across the madrileño's face as Jun accepted the beverage. A chuckle escaped him at Xavier's quip, to which Paco shrugged before draping his arms across the bench in both directions behind him. "Hey, what's it hurt to have friends? I get it though, I do. You've gotta be at least a little cautious. You're going to be getting all sorts of offers from all sorts of people, campeón." Leaning forward, his almond eyes flickered to the younger boy's laptop for just moment, not long enough to pry but sufficient to underline his tone before briefly returning to the hold Jun's emerald gaze. Never dropping his jovial expression, the second year extended his hand to the freshman. "Francisco Idigoras, but please, call me Paco. It's an honor to finally meet you, Jun."
With his attention almost singularly focused on Jun, Francisco failed to notice the mischief that was starting up around them. As ice and snow exploded on the back of Jun's head, Paco simply blinked in surprise. "Huh," he echoed Xavier more emphatically, finally turning to trace the path the projectile had taken. Two figures had approached them, both oddly familiar. He recognized one from the sports festival (yet another promising freshman he'd not yet had the opportunity to rub elbows with), and the other as… the boy he was sitting next to?! Squinting at the boy who'd thrown the snowball and doing mental acrobatics to reconcile how Jun was both over there and right here, realization did eventually dawn on him.
"If you wanted to play for us, all you had to do was say so, Miss Lynne. No need to start throwing things to get our attention," Paco called out jokingly, winking at the pair, knowing brothers well enough to know who had actually tossed the ice ball.

"It'll be ok. And I haven't, but maybe a free show later?" After Riku had thrown the ball, the other two quickly turned around. The one was clearly doing some mental gymnastics. The other was pretty apathetic. One did make a comment though. To which Riku just scowled, not knowing the guy. "Now now, if you know her quirk, you know that wasn't her...by the way, Junny, enjoying your time here?"
The other blond got up, putting his laptop in his seat, and jumped, using his flames to propel himself towards his brother in a downward kick. Only for Riku to scoot his wheelchair just enough to the right to avoid it. And the twin also caught the follow up kick and pulled Jun's leg to the right, effectively pinning the boy's free leg against the wheelchair and struggling to stay balanced. Riku grabbed a hold of Jun's shirt to keep him from falling, but still kept the caught leg as far to the right as possible. Jun was whimpering and flailing while Riku spoke. "Hello. I'm Riku Tomoshibi, Jun's twin brother. Nice to meet you!" He gave a bright smile to the two boys. Then he looked at Yui to introduce herself as well. Even though it seemed one of them already knew of her at least.
Still, Riku practically tortured his twin brother by keeping him in such an awkward position for as long as possible. Eventually letting go, Jun then draped himself over his twin's lap, pouting at him. Chuckling, Riku started to pet Jun's head like a cat. But still paid attention to the conversation at hand...

Though most students at U.A. didn't exactly walk around battle ready at all times, most at least expected that a pop quiz could quite literally appear out of thin air and turn their entire day upside down. While X didn't think that this was one such situation, he was still left with the lingering thought that Paco's quirk should have kicked in and allowed an innumerable things to occur in order to allow Paco not to get hit with slushy surprise. As rude and as intrusive as it might have been, X very much treated Paco like a living specimen to study due to the quirky nature of his quirk. Straightening himself up and going back to a more relaxed position on the bench he nodded and waved to the newcomers. "Xavier, though you can call me X, it's a pleasure to meet you and I believe that I have heard you play before."
Though equally focused on the formalities of introducing himself, he used the other half of his brain to calculate the odds of Paco's quirk kicking in versus the odds of it completely failing him. Was this an example of the boy's luck in it's more "cursed" state or was it simply a case of it not activating due to Paco not being in contact with the object flung. Had Paco been watching out for it, could he have dodged it, and if so, would his "luck" have extended to those in direct physical contact with something that he too was in contact with? X would have to study his friend more, and so, he jotted down a note in the corner of his page of notes, completely unrelated to the rest but something that he'd return back to at some point. Ever the observer, he'd eventually one day figure out the limits both good and bad for everyone if life allowed.
Not able to completely put his finger on it, the fact that Riku and Jun were before him tugged at some invisible string to a memory just beyond his ability to recall. Brushing it off for the sake of living in the moment, he didn't follow the mental trail but he instead pointed his pencil at one twin and then the next."Do you two do that freaky mental thing where you finish each other's sentences and the like?" A rather harmless question, X was very much fascinated about the ability to study twins in person without having to creep around. There weren't any in his program of study that he'd come across so he had to take what he could get. Did they have similar or opposite quirks, did their quirks have a positive or negative effect on the others quirk? So many questions, so little time to ask them.

Yui felt herself turn red as Paco called out, accusing her of throwing things as Jun. She failed to realise that he was in fact joking and did not believe her to be the actual culprit. "I... I... Er... It was... It was not me." She objected quickly and awkwardly, wondering perhaps if this was the appropriate time to grab her things and dive through the nearest wall or window. After all, everyone else needed to use doors, she at the very least held that slim advantage if things went from bad to considerable worse. Though, she did like that he knew she liked to play her guitar, it was about the only time when Yui could be called loud, since she seemed to transform, becoming confident, sure of herself and had an incredible singing voice.
"Maybe if there is time... And if you guys want to listen." She said quietly and humbly, not wanting to force anyone into anything or doing something that they might not want to or maybe did not have the time for. She was secretly pleased that some of them had heard her play, Yui managed a nervous smile as if uncertain of how to react to everything. She happened to be incredibly nervous and anxious, her mind already racing wondering what to say, how to react, what they were thinking, were they happy to see her or only pretending, did they like the fact she was present or wished that she wasn't. These were but a few of the thoughts which raced through Yui's mind. Yui leapt slightly to the side to avoid the fighting between the two twins. Yet Riku appeared to have no trouble in defeating Jun, despite Jun being the winner of the Sports Festival. She realised after Riku looked at her that he thoughts she should introduce herself as well. "I'm... I... I'm Yui, Yui Lynne." She said shyly, not meeting anyone's gaze as she introduced herself. She took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down, there was no sense in getting herself all worked up. They were all friends here weren't they? Or were they merely putting up with her being here? Were they annoyed that she kept being so nervous and flighty? Yui gave them all a smile then decided it was safe to sit down as the twins had stopped fighting for the moment and no one else was using their Quirks. She could do this, she could talk to people... Yui was going to be a hero, she could play before large crowds, speaking to people should be easy.
