Today was going to be a special day for 1-A. Today was going to be the day their physical abilities would be tested, regardless of they related to their quirks. This was not only a assignment but also a test for the class. One of the biggest lessons that they had to learn is that being a hero is not all in their quirk. Based on the quirk lists of the students, Aoi believed that only a few could achieve being a pro hero with solely their quirk. She, of all people, should know that. Her quirk, albeit powerful, was very easy to counter. One simply could hold their hands in front of her ears and her quirk would be neutralized. After she got her feet wet as a pro hero, most higher rank villains knew how to counter her quirk. Most people, however, were unable to handle her quirk and her naginata skill.
Today she wanted the students to learn the same things she had learned in her days on the job. However, that was not the primary purpose of this lesson. Aoi wanted to get gauge the abilities of her class. She knew on the quirk list she had, some did not have powerful quirks. She had to figure out how to bring forth the best in all of them and figure out how to train them. She wanted the students to succeed so she is going to put her part of the barging. Now they just had to put the effort in. She had no problem kicking them out of U.A. if they do not give any effort into their education.
Setting up a meditation pad on the school grounds, she waited for her students. She had left a note on the door, telling them to meet her in the school grounds. She had brought her naginata for a demonstration after the physical test were conducted. The weapon was strapped to her back while she sat on her knees. Eyes closed, she listened out for her students arrival.

"Change into your gym uniform and come to the school...grounds?" Raphael read out loud to himself. He had arrived at the first class early that morning, only to find this note on the door. He wondered what in the world they were going to do, but he supposed this kind of thing was very... hero school! As expected on U.A! Was he going to be okay, whatever they were going to do? Would he be able to perform to his full potential? Was he really good enough for this, be able to not be an embarrassment to his family name? He wasn't sure but...he would have to be, wouldn't he? After stopping off at the boy's changing room near the school grounds, the blonde made his way to the meeting place as specified on his teacher's note. He spotted the vivid red hair first, then the woman who owned it. She seemed to be sitting down on the ground...oh she must be meditating. He walked up to her, not sure he was meant to interrupt and hesitated. Well, he was here, so it was ok, right? He looked round, it seemed he was the first one here, which wasn't surprising as he had come straight from finishing morning training and grabbing a quick breakfast in the cafeteria before going to class. technically, he was still 15 mins early so his classmates should probably get here sooner or later. He ended up standing around rather awkwardly, though it was a nice day, even if a little chilly, the winter sun was shining with not too much wind.

Ren let out a yawn as he pushed his locker close. The boy did tend to get up fairly early so that he could cook up some breakfast before class, but for some reason a wave of tiredness always hit him right as he was about to walk through the door. Perhaps because of this, he nearly walked right into the classroom door when it didn't open as expected. Well, the fact that it was locked was probably a good thing, because otherwise he likely would have never noticed the note that had been left behind. Curious as to what exactly their teacher had in store for them, he made his way over to the locker room in order to get changed into his gym clothes.
A few drowsy minutes later, Ren stepped out into the school grounds, the chill of the morning air almost immediately snapping his mind back awake. He really did prefer the cold, more than likely an effect that came with his quirk, but the weather here never got as cold as it did back in Germany. He wouldn't be able to visit his old home any time soon, would he? It's not like he could get a passport under his false name. His breath formed white wisps in the air as he sighed, despite the fact that the temperature was well above freezing. Now wasn't the time to get homesick.
Taking a moment to adjust his scarf, Ren started forward to look for his teacher. It didn't take very long, the woman was pretty easy to spot in all honesty. It seemed that he ended up being fairly early though, by the time he walked up it seemed that there was only one other person there, which was.... Raphael. That was always fun. He put on a smile and waved as he drew near, having already come to the conclusion that avoiding the kid wasn't a viable option. "Good morning." He called out, not sharing his classmate's hesitation to speak in front of the meditating teacher.

Isamu couldn’t help but scowl a little bit as he spotted the note, craning his head up to read it. Change into their gym uniforms and go to the school grounds. It already felt like an effort to get around the school on most days, but having to go to one place only to unexpectedly be told to go somewhere else was… a bit aggravating. It’d save a lot of time to just go get changed first and then report.
Still, at least he wasn’t the last one to find the note, if the number of fresh scent trails he could detect was any indication, and he was still a little early regardless. He turned around and made for the gym, stashing his backpack and changing into the school-provided uniform.
He gave it a few experimental tugs after pulling it on, testing his full range of twisting and flexibility. Not… bad. In fact… this might be the best fit I’ve ever had. I guess it’s to be expected from the number one hero school. Shopping for clothes was one of his most hated activities. The only things that fit him off the rack were either made for toddlers or for pets, almost to a T. If only he could order the rest of his wardrobe from the U.A. tailors… I hope they got the fit this well for my hero costume, too.
Finally emerging from the locker room, he retraced his steps a bit until he found the teacher’s scent, and then simply followed that to the school grounds, soon finding the teacher and two other fellow students. He offered the students a polite nod and a “Good morning” before dropping to all fours to stretch and limber up. He was always in a state of perpetual limber, but it never hurt to make sure.

"Meet me on the school grounds"
Well, this ought to be good. Fu was not the most physically active, let's go with that and based on the note, physical activity was ahead of her. Some very exciting stuff was going to happen. She remembered P.E. in her middle school. It was never a pleasant time. Girls would make fun of her in the changing room and then the boys would laugh at her during class. It was irritating. She eventually learned to ignore them. It was a pleasant skill to have. Being able to ignore those around Fu and closing herself off from the world. It did give her a reputation of a loner but she hardly cared. She did not need people friends. She can get animals and they'll love her unconditionally. It was a good plan for the future, at least Fu thought so.
Making her way to the school grounds, she wondered if she was going to be the last one there. Most people in her class tend to be early but Fu was also usually early. Putting in her ear buds, Fu wandered the school grounds for a bit. Eventually she spotted her sensei's red hair. As she got closer, she started to notice the other students present. Listening to some video game music, Fu took note of the weapon strapped to her sensei's back. Bowing to her fellow students, she gave them a polite "Good morning" before finding a comfortable place to sit (a small boulder).

Post by Ryuga Hoden on Jan 11, 2019 3:47:51 GMT
One of the worse things about her gym uniform was that the zipper was broken. Ryuga found herself fighting with the uniform ten times over again, as she looked in the mirror, her face a messy of red. She didn't like the idea of going without zipping up. She looked exposed, and because of certain aspects of puberty, it almost looked like she was trying to show off.
She honestly wasn't. But the zipper wouldn't connect. It was like it was broken intentionally on her uniform, and while years ago, she might be okay with it, the feeling of embarrassment flooded her cheeks and tensed her chest. How could she go out with an open uniform?!
In the changing room, her eyes went to the girl who still wished to befriend. Maybe now was a time to go talk to her? She hardly did that during the little meet-and-greet of 1-A! She wanted to at least say something to her. But it seemed like while Ryuga had been busy attempting to fix her uniform, what with her still attempting to mess with the uncooperative zipper for another moment, Futaba had walked out.
... was... she just not talkative?
Hm.
well, while a little ingenuity would have been nice, Ryuga found that her problems were unable to be fixed, and instead, pulling the two sides of her shirt together, she hid any mention of her chests from guys, girls, or anyone who might want a look. Subtlety was key.
So imagine a blonde girl with orange and green highlights with a red face walking out onto the school grounds with her hands holding her top from breaking apart. That was Ryuga's life until she made it into the group of boys and one Futaba. Of which, Ryuga immediately hung nearby, and basically hid nearby. Her face was a mess, and to try and not draw attention to herself, Ryuga did not, in fact, say good morning.
How could today get any worse?

Post by Daiki Satou on Jan 12, 2019 4:50:22 GMT
The morning. Opening his eyes the atmosphere was so much different. It was their first fitness class? Was this even an official class or some extracurricular thing? Daiki looked up with a tired expression towards his phone as an indicator had come from Sato-sensei about some sort of training. Rolling in bed, he looked around for his headset, that had fallen off while he was sleeping. He'd often go to bed listening to music, which led to his phone in the morning being nearly dead, but that was alright. He had an hour or so to get it up to fifty percent for the day to come. He let out a sigh as the music flowed through him, looking to the ceiling. His gaze then turned to his window, looking up towards the rising morning sun. The Rising Sun in the midst of the land of the Rising Sun. Pulling out his phone he'd post in the chat and state he was on his way.
Boom. First it was up on his feet, next breakfast in his room. He prepared his favorite Oyakodon. Opening up his computer, he checked the latest news in Hero Society. Grand takedowns by rookie and pro heroes alike. Headlines of some really cool stuff. He always wanted to not be the one reading, but the one making the stories. Heck, if he didn't end up a Hero he might've ended up a journalist or something. After his breakfast was done he did the hygiene 101 thing. Getting dressed in his school clothes and bringing along his bag with his uniform and some books in it, he headed out. Going to head out of his dorm room, he looked back to say goodbye to his brother to see... His dorm room. No one. He let out a solem sigh. That was going to take some getting used too.
Walking through the hallways to leave the dorm, he probably greeted a few familiar faces in passing. Heading down to the doors, he pushed them open to allow the warm rays of the sun to wash over his body. He took in a deep breath and savored the moment. That feeling when the sun first hits you went you're just a bit chilled, and makes you just a bit warm. The slight tingling at the cusp of where the sun hits and where it doesn't hit. He slowly turned, letting the heat wash over himself in a bit of a nice moment. Meanwhile he probably got a look or two from other students going about their day. That was fine, it wasn't an overly extraordinary movement, it could be mistaken for a stretch or something.
Walking not to the school but instead straight to the locker area, he'd enter into the boys locker to maybe or maybe not meet any of the other students getting ready for the class. Dropping his uniform, he'd gently fold it up and place it into his back to replace his gym clothes that he took out and put on. Now with the relatively tight but still comfortable and flexible gym clothes on, he headed out towards where Sato-sensei had asked them all to meet. Starting to see people, instead of entering like he normally might he just approached like a normal Human being and waved with a smile towards everyone. Was it because of the warning he got in their introductions? Maybe.
Regardless, he spoke up. "Good morning Sato-sensei. Good morning everyone." And so he prepared for the class to come, turning off his music.

Jun woke up, got dressed, and ate breakfast. A fast one, since class was starting soon. Upon reaching the door, he saw the note and groaned. He ran to the dressing room, thankfully empty. But then there was after the exercise...he hoped no one would say anything about his scar. Even if they did, he'd brush them off. As easily approachable as he was, he didn't talk about himself a whole lot. Especially on certain family issues. The clothes was a nice fit and he speed-walked away and towards the training grounds. He was the last person there, but not quite late. He saw the resident cat, the host of blonds, Futaba, and Ryuga...whose top was a little too small. Poor girl. He didn't bring attention to her and just moved to stand next to Goliath. "Good morning." It was pretty casual and aloof.
His eyes set upon Sato-sensei. He guessed they were going to do a quirk evaluation test. He didn't know about anyone else's, aside from educated guesses on Isamu-kun and what Futa-chan said. So this should be very interesting and a good gauge on where he stood.

Students started to approach Aoi's spot of meditation. The foot steps and conversations made it obvious. They would have been caught if they were sneaking up on a villain. She was not going to be too hard on them about it though. After all, she was not expecting them to sneak up on her. Listening to their conversations, or more lack their of, Aoi made some mental notes. Most of them seemed to have formal greetings ingrained in them. The low self-esteem girl seemed to be formal at least. That was one positive with that girl. She'll dig more into her later. She had more things to worry about than just this low self-esteem girl. She probably won't be at U.A. much longer with the recent paperwork she saw on her desk.
Counting the footsteps as the got closer to her, she made mental notes of all the students arriving and saying hello to another. Some even chose to say hello to her, even though she was meditating. It was nice, even though not warranted. Maybe some people were trying to gain favour of her. That would be interesting with some of her students. When she assumed all of the students had arrived, Aoi opened her eyes. Swiftly moving her hand to the hilt of her weapon, she pulled out the weapon off her back. Tossing it into the air, she caught it as it flew eye level. Spinning the naginata quickly, she slashed across the ground. Cutting of the heads of the weeds growing on the school grounds.
Putting the weapon back onto her back, she turned to her students. "Good morning, today we will be doing a physical exam. Not only will your quirks be tested but also your other abilities. I will push you to your breaking point. You will hurt for several days after today. There are a lot of lessons that you will learn today. Now, I will not force you to do any of this but if you do not participate today, back up your bags. If you have any hesitations today, hero life is not for you. There is no shame in that. Not everyone is meant to be a hero. We will out here all day. If you're ready, step behind me. If this is not for you, there are transfer application in that folder right there." Aoi pointed at the folder that was hidden at first because of the way she was sitting on the mat. After she had said her piece in a matter of fact tone, Aoi was silent again.

"G-good morning!" Raphael did end up breaking the silence to greet his classmates as they arrived, politely returning smiles, small bows to accompany them. He did end up kind of staring at Ren for quite a while though, wondering where he had seen him before. It was still bothering him, as he was pretty sure he had seen the other somewhere but where? He averted his gaze when he realised he was literally just eyeballing the other guy for no apparent reason. Why did he have to be so awkward... When the teacher started to speak, Raphael straightened up, switching into some halfway between his relaxed mode and fully alert, "in public" mode. He listened carefully to what the red haired woman said, his body tensing for what was to come. He had to do this. There was nothing else but this for him, he had to succeed. if he didn't, what was the point of him existing? Sato-sensei said there was no shame in it but... he knew, for him there would be. He was created for one purpose, something his father had always reminded him. He was meant to be a hero. There was no other option. He had to kill these hesitations in his mind. Like many other emotions that may cloud his mind; envy, greed, desire, it was just another emotion to add to the list he wasn't allowed to have now. And that was fine. I can do this."Yes." Raphael replied, going over to the teacher and getting into line behind her as she requested.

Isamu’s footsteps tended not to make a lot of noise, but of course his voice was fairly distinct regardless. After his initial greeting, he only spoke to respond to anyone else saying high, but stayed focused on his stretching. He wasn’t 100% sure what Aoi would be doing for their exercises, but he had heard the stories: even once you passed the entrance exams, there was no guarantee that you’d stay in the curriculum. He’d read all of the school materials and noted that the teachers pretty much had carte blanche to expel any underperforming students for any reason. He didn’t have any hard data on how often they did that, but if they were… at the beginning of the year when evaluating their quirks and physical strength seemed like the ideal time.
He studied their homeroom teacher as she meditated, trying to get an idea of what she’d be looking for. He’d looked her up after their initial homeroom, but still had no idea what she’d be like as a teacher. When she opened her eyes and drew her weapon, he instinctively hopped backwards, dropping into a low crouch… only to see the teacher perform some light gardening. He only relaxed again once she sheathed her weapon, standing upright and crossing his arms over his chest, listening to her speech.
No shame? It’s all fine and good for the teacher to say that, but to fail out of your first major test after being accepted into the most prestigious hero school in the academy? Or even worse, to just… give up without even trying? No thank you.
Isamu stepped forward with barely a moment’s hestitation to consider the teacher’s words. He looked up to her and smirked a little. “Going all in? I can get behind that.” And then he stepped behind the teacher, standing there with his arms crossed and staring down the rest of his classmates, as if to say, if I can do this the rest of you have no excuse.

Ren stood idly by while the rest of the class slowly made their appearances, tapping away to the beat of a song in his head while he waited. He gave a casual greeting to each of his classmates as they showed up, but didn't particularly feel like starting up a conversation. Looking around at the other students(and doing his best to ignore the fact that Raphael was staring again), he noticed Isamu starting to do some stretches after he arrived, and realized that that probably wasn't a terrible idea. After all, they'd been called outside in their gym uniforms, and UA had a well earned reputation for being a particularly tough school. Even among his father's family, which boasted some pretty powerful quirk users, only handful made it through the entry exams, and even fewer made it to graduations. He vaguely remembered hearing a story about one of his cousins, who made it in only to be dismissed before the end of the first week. So he followed the cat's lead and went through a quick warm up routine to get ready for whatever was to come.
Shortly after he finished, the last of his classmates approached and their teacher finally sprung into action. His muscles tensed as her weapon suddenly lashed out and he couldn't stop himself from taking a cautious step backward. As Sato-sensei spoke, she laid it all out quite clearly. They were here to test their limits, to get pushed all the way to the edge and maybe a little bit beyond. If they weren't willing to bear against the strain and do that, then there was really only one possible result. In an instant the casual atmosphere had turned completely serious, as each of them had to question if they were up to the task.
Ren's golden eyes sharpened as he stepped forward, not even the briefest hesitation in his mind. This was a decision that had already been made, it was that simple. If he'd had any doubts about the path he chose, they had disappeared the same day he left home. He didn't want an easy ride, that was part of the reason he threw his name away to begin with, did they really expect him to just turn back when things got hard? There where a whole bunch of people like that back home, but him? Not a chance.
"Whatever it takes, right?"
Ren mumbled under his breath, putting on a grin as he walked past the teacher and fell into line.

As the last few classmates arrived, Fu moved a little closer to Ryuga. Ryuga was her best friend here and she was not really prepared for whatever her sensei had in store for her. Taking out her earphones, she wrapped them around her phone. Putting it in the small pouch she carried on her belt, she stuffed her phone into it. Greeting Ryuga quickly and giving her a small hug, Fu waited for her sensei to do something. She had been sitting there since she had arrived and she assumed her sensei had been there for a bit. Seeing from what she knew about Aoi Sato and the interactions she had had with her, she seemed very hard on her students. She did read that she kicked out half the class last year. It was a rumor at least. She did not give too much credence to them though. Most people spread rumors about her and they weren't true.
Suddenly her sensei moved into action, slashing out at whatever was in front of her. Fu would be lying if she was not impressed with the agility and accuracy of the move. She could not imaging how much training went into making that move seem so effortless. Sensei was probably not that old by Fu estimates but she rather not ask. Probably would offend her. Not that her sensei's age mattered at the current moment.
Her sensei had made it clear to them what she expected of them and that if they had any doubts, they should leave. It was worded in a more friendly manner but that's what it came down to. Looking at the map she saw the folder filled with the application that was too familiar to her. She remembered the deal she made with Ryuga-chan not too long ago but doubts crept into her mind. She could feel herself getting watched. Or was she imagining it?
Come on, you can walk past and stand behind her. It was that easy. Come on you can do it!
YAK!
And Fu had thrown up over herself. The gym uniform was soiled and her shoes had seen better days. Opening her eyes, she noticed she was still standing. Looking at her teacher, Fu noticed little reaction to what had happened. The only indication that anything happened was that Sato-sensei's eyebrow was slightly raised.
"Himura. You are dismissed. Meet me in my office early tomorrow morning." Fu felt herself turn tomato red. Trying to avoid any eye contact from her classmates, Fu turned around and ran from the school grounds as quickly as she could. This was not what she envisioned her first day of hero training would be like.

Two more joined the group, putting the grand total of 1-A to Seraphine-san, Wolff-san, Suzuki-san, Himura-san, Satou-san, Tomoshibi-san, and herself. Seven students total, and of course, Sato-sensei. When everyone had arrived fully, and Futaba had made note of her, Ryuga gave her signature smile. Even though her sports uniform wasn't fitting, she still would find time for Futaba, because regardless of all the other boys, she was her best friend here. Her first friend too. Futaba gave her strength.
The hug was sweet., and while Ryuga held a hand up to greet her, Ryuga was just happy to see Futaba here. It meant what they talked about wasn't for nothing.
So needless to say, the showing of the naginata flipping through the air, while intimidating, wasn't nearly as intimidating as embarrassment due to an undersized jacket. Quite the contrary, in fact. Ryuga found herself impressed more so, especially when the weeds seemed to be sliced. Knowing this would be a challenge.
Sato-sensei's explanation of today was... something. Often by pushing one to a breaking point, it was a case of turning coal to diamonds under pressurized force. Of course, this level of it made Ryuga more inquisitive, one of her hands moving to her chin as she went deep in thought. To make them hurt in excess for days meant that their sensei would exert enough force to either make them diamonds, or send them packing.
The transfer application made Ryuga turn to Futaba. One hand on her hand, as a means to tell her it was okay. With support, one could do anything.
And her jacket popped open. Ryuga barely minded though. In fact, she hadn't realized it, and her bra was showing now. Which meant anyone who wanted a look could easily see her. Puberty had gifted her, and with a jacket that small, it was clear why she was having trouble. But her worry for Futaba seemed to only triplicate, as she heard the noises.
Futaba was barfing.
Ryuga immediately tried anything she could to help Futaba, but before she could even speak, Sato-sensei dismissed her. Which meant her crutch and support was gone. As Himura-san would turn tomato red and turn on her heel, she ran tearing her hand away from Ryuga. Part of her wanted to chase after. She should be there for her friend. But would it be seen as bad in class if she did.
Himura-san probably didn't want to be seen right now. But... stress barf? Ryuga crossed her arms. "Himura-san..." Taking this moment to sigh, she would walk to Sato-sensei, and crossed the line as many others did. Part of her wanting to abandon this exercise now that her friend was in pain.
The other half knew that if she ran after her, she may have to pack her bags and not be able to comfort her. Ryuga wasn't happy about this. Not one bit.
Today had gotten worse.

"If you have any hesitations today, hero life is not for you."
True. Faces turned around to track Fu as she left. No doubt she'd spotlighted herself willingly or unwillingly with what she'd done. While others had their own feelings about it, Daiki was silent for just a moment in the aftermath of her vomiting. It was in the moment that he did nothing, assuming she would be cared for and not just coldly dismissed, even if Sato-sensei felt different about it on the inside. Even then, he figured she might he- then she started to sprint. In sheer embarrassment the girl was giving it absolutely everything she had to escape her anxieties and fears. He turned and watched her. Out of everyone here, she had the most mental luggage.
'If you have any hesitations today...' Played in his head, and before he even recalled the quote he started to readily backpedal, getting into a trot. He spoke up toward Sato-sensei, he was going to do what was right. If he was expelled? Well, what sort of school would leave a girl to run home out on the streets crying and devastated, covered in her own vomit? Not one he would want to be in. Regardless, his words were all Sato-sensei would head, since she couldn't read minds. "Sato-sensei, I'm going after her! She needs to change back into her school clothes and then go to the infirmary! I'll be back in seven minutes, if I'm not back, expel me!" He didn't have time for a discussion on the matter. It pained him to pull something like that, but he knew what was right, what needed to be done right now. Fu wasn't as fast as him most likely, but give it a minute and she'd be in some street or alley, impossible to find, and if he went the wrong way? It would be even harder to find her.
So he had to go now, before she had to deal with hundreds of people on the street watching a vomit covered UA student running home, devastated. He sprinted after her, the bio-luminescence glowing across his body. It slowly shifted colors, getting generally more intense as he picked up speed to a pace that exceeded the human Olympic sprinters of generations passed. Attempting his best to catch her, in all likelihood he'd make it up to the girl, stopping and moving in front of her.
"Himura-chan!" He'd attempt to rest his hands on her shoulders to stop her. Not harshly, only assuming she slowed practically to a stop when she was intercepted. "Please, lets take you over to the locker room to get you changed, then you should go to the infirmary. It looked like- or looks like you've having a bit of a panic attack. Big day, just take deep breaths. I'm here for you. Want me to carry you?" He asked. Vomit or not, he didn't seem to care, just standing tall in front of her.
"Himura-chan... What Sato-sensei said probably sounded harsh, but she meant well. After all, you heard her before. She said to meet her in the morning tomorrow. She wants what is best for you, and she's going to do her best to make it happen. But Himura-chan... We need to have a real, heart to heart talk. No one else, just you and me.
Walk with me- or have me carry you, but later?
We need to talk of your reason to be a Hero, nothing off limits, the whole truth. Anyways, that's for later. Let's get you cleaned up and to the infirmary. I'll try to remember what I can to catch you up, at least on the lesson part of things, okay?"
He smiled gently, attempting to guide her with him. He... May or may not be successful, but it's what he wished to do for her.
