Post by Aoi Sato on May 22, 2019 2:09:16 GMT
She remembered class elections. It was a dreadful time back at her school but seemed to be nothing compared to what happens at U.A. At her school, she was the vice rep for her hero course. The position was heavily scrutinise at her school, which was one of the more well-known academies from her area but no where as famous as the schools like U.A. She often despised U.A. because of all the attention the school got. Her school was barely mentioned in the news in Japan but one could barely escape from news about U.A. When the class reps of the hero course were determined, somehow people thought that people in Ine Hero Academy cared. So frustrating. Sports Day is another spectacle that made no sense to Aoi. Why did people care so much about what first years of the school did? Half the people in Sports Day never became the mainstream heroes that people always hope them to be. Not everyone can be the number one hero and the public often forgets that.
Regardless, today was class elections. Everyone was (hopefully) going to be there. She decided to hold the elections today as she had been in contact with the less fortunate student of her class and she seemed to be strong enough to start coming to some classes. No physical exercise classes but maths and classical studies seemed to be fine for now. Regardless, one of the reasons Futaba was going to be there was because Aoi and Fu's mother wanted to keep some normalcy for the girl. She was part of 1-A and being sick is not going to change that.
Aoi made her way to the classroom, unlocking the door. She decided to come early so she could be there in case Futaba came earlier. Setting down her things, she wrote every students name on the board. She will assume everyone was running unless told otherwise. After all the names were written down, Aoi sighed a bit. Her class has grown both physically but also mentally. The students from the beginning of the year were not the same ones of the passed few months. Smiling at the names, she turned around and sat down in her teacher's chair.
She was proud of them.

Arriving first....today was decidedly the day. Riku had tried his absolute best to sway the vote in his favor but.....things hadn't gone exactly as planned. But regardless! Riku hadn't given up yet! Where there was a will! There was a way! That was why Riku came rather early! With a small backpack strapped neatly to his back, the dark blue haired boy stepped through the doors leading to the class. He cast Sensei Aoi a bright smile and wished the woman a very good morning before making a beeline straight for his seat. Taking his backpack off and pulling his seat out, Riku settled in to the place which was smack dab right in the middle of the class. Unzipping his bag, Riku could have swore that there was a majestic shine coming from the inside of it. Mind you, that wasn't a normal! Why wasn't that normal? Well that was because TODAY was different! Today Riku's bag carried something rather important! It was his WELL CRAFTED and CAREFULLY tailored speech! He'd spent like....all night working on it too!!! So thanks to that, and of course a little sleep deprivation, Riku felt maybe a bit more excited for this than he should have. Or maybe he was the right amount of 'excited' that he needed to be to keep himself on his toes! Who knew! But all Riku DEFINITELY knew was that he was gonna blow his class away with his SUGOI MEGA AWESOME KAWAII SPEECH! OH YEAH!!!!!!

WORD COUNT 247
Tag @1-A
| Hyousuke wasn’t particularly keen on the idea of being the class president. He’d been all for it at first, wanting to get into a competition just to see how he’d fare. He’d jumped into bigger things with less information on how they worked, after all. But the more he began to learn about the role and what it entailed, the less enthusiastic he became about the entire thing.
Desk jobs and piles of paperwork just weren’t him. He understood the necessity behind them and that hero work - much as he hated to admit it - would likely leave him with more than just a few forms to fill out at the end of the day. But he didn’t want to deal with it while he didn’t have to. Signing up to a position where most of the work would most likely be him filling out forms and attending boring meetings didn’t exactly sound like his idea of a glamorous or prestigious position.
He also had to admit that he wasn’t entirely certain he had the brains for it. He knew exactly how smart he wasn’t - even if he did manage to somehow land himself the position of class president, he didn’t think that he’d be able to keep it for long, knowing that he’d make himself just look like an even bigger idiot than he did in his day-to-day life. Slowly, he raised his hand. “Sensei, I’m not running.” He said casually, arm hanging in the air lazily. |

Post by Chiura Yutsuko on May 22, 2019 21:24:40 GMT
Chiura had never fancied herself a leader. It wasn't really her forte -- she lacked confidence in her youth, stemming largely from her upbringing and experience with others. She had always been treated with too much fear and suspicion to warrant anyone actually wanting to follow her, she had thought; she didn't deserve to slither up onto a pedestal. She didn't want to be feared; she wanted to be loved.
But U.A. was different. Chiura had sworn it to herself when she had been admitted; the shrinking red-petaled wallflower from middle school would have to take a backseat to a young woman with a bit more ambition than that. Sure, she didn't stand much of a chance in the grand scheme of things -- she was brand new to the class, after all, and the others had both the resumes and the relationships to succeed in this venture while Chiura had very little of either.
But for her, it was more the principle of the thing. Chiura clutched her notebook tightly to her chest; several dozen pages had been torn out -- remnants of speeches that she had decided simply wouldn't do. The one that remained, though, some halfway through the spiral book -- she felt good about it. Great, even! She didn't expect to get any votes at all, but she knew that she could at least present her case without embarassing herself.
She flashed Aoi a bright smile as she entered the room. "Good morning, Sato-Sensei!" Her voice was bright and full of cheer. "I'm -- I'm excited for today! I promise to do my best!"

Fu was excited! It was her first time back to U.A. after she was put in the hospital. She was not cured by any means but she was able to get out of her bed for extended periods of time. She would not be able to part take in classes that require physical exercise but run of the mill classes like maths, geography and so forth were okay. It was supposed to help Fu stay connected with U.A. and her class while battling her illness. Her mother suggested it and it was approved by her sensei. Some precautions had to be taken but Fu should be fine for several hours before she had to go to the hospital.
Wheeling her IV drip through the school, Fu skipped through the hallway in her uniform. Her hair was tied with a band as usually but this one was blue and had decorative seals on it. It was a gift from her mother. She had not worn it but it seemed appropriate for her comeback in 1-A. She chose not to wear her face mask today as she was spending most of her day inside anyway. Sliding to a halt in front of the 1-A door, Fu gathered herself. It was time to see them again.
Sliding the door open, only three students had arrived. Her sensei just got down erasing one of the student's names (Iroiro). Giving her sensei a bow, she muttered a quiet "Good morning, sensei!" before sliding into her seat. She was not sure why she decided she wanted to run for class rep but something in her heart pushed her to do it. As if her heart knew something that Futaba did not know yet. Sitting down in her seat, she made sure that her IV drip was not in the way for other students that might be coming in soon.

Class Rep election day. To say Ryu was nervous would be stating the obvious. The young student was new to the class and Aoi had warned him about the elections a few days prior. She had also told him not to feel discouraged if he felt like not running, but to make sure he didn't feel like he was forced into running, either. They both knew he was a new transfer into the class. He hadn't had the time to get to really know anyone in the class, save for a select few people that he happened to run into earlier. It was unlikely that he was going to be elected as Class Rep -- Ryu supposed he wouldn't vote for someone he had just met either, but he figured why not run? It could be fun! [break][break]
And so Ryu had arrived with Aoi, following her into the classroom after she had entered. He had no choice, really. She was his ride to and from the school, so whenever she left for the school he went with her, and vice versa. On the plus side it meant he usually had little to no homework to actually do at home as he'd stay behind to finish it in the classroom as the other students left. It was a decent gig, he supposed. Not that it really mattered in the moment. Looking around as the other students entered he'd smile and wave to each one. A blonde one slumped over his desk and said he wouldn't be running, where as Chiura, a girl he'd met previously seemed excited about the day. That reassured him. If a skiddish girl like her could be confident in her running, then he could to! [break][break]
Though he had to constantly remind himself not to call Aoi 'Onee-san' like he was used to at home or when they were out. This was a class setting and that meant he had to be a bit more professional in how he addressed her. Sensei would do, as she had told him at home. While he had the idea of going around to each classmate and introducing himself personally to each one he figured it'd be better to wait until the class filled in more. Then he could introduce himself to everyone all at the same time. So for the moment he'd stand up and walk over to Chiuras desk and smile. "Glad to see you're excited." Ryu would begin. "I'm a bit nervous, personally." [break][break]
This was the first real time Ryu would have an actual shot at any kind of leadership position, truth be told. While he thought he was well-suited to it the other children in his previous schools had always been to afraid of him to give him a chance. But that was different at UA. At UA everyone had amazing abilities, so they were all on a level playing field, so to speak.

Another morning. Another 5am wake up. Another morning training. Another shower and getting ready for a day. Another job after school, so have to remember to pack two changes of clothes for evening training and work. Another visit to Hone before work. Another set of homework to do when he got back. Days seemed to all blend together into a blur, weeks going by without Raphael even realising the time was going so fast. Was he ever going to be able to be enough for this course, for his purpose, for what he was born to do...for...anything… ...or was he just going to fall short?
He didn’t know, and it ate at his chest, slowly, like a poison. How many more people would have to get hurt and how many more times would he be able to do nothing? He needed to train harder, get better faster but...how? He had his debut soon too, was he even good enough for that? Would people care? Would anyone come to see him?
♪If there was no concept of regret There wouldn't be the word 'regret' I'm simply documenting my disappointing, regretful voyage♪Lyrics floated to his lips, something he had heard on nico nico. He was meant to be learning his set songs but instead... he found himself listening to other things instead. Downing an energy drink as he walked from the dorms, the singer made his way up to the 1-A homeroom and made his way to his seat, not really even looking around the room. He was daydreaming a little, the song he had been singing to himself earlier playing in his mind when violet eyes caught sight of the board. Why…was his name...? Oh.Class representative elections. That was...today wasn’t it? He had forgotten. Raphael inwardly sighed, his memory was getting pretty bad recently, it must be with how busy he was, it was all hazy and muddled up together. He heard a voice and looked to see Suzuki-san say he wanted to withdraw from the nominations. He should do the same, there was no way he was deserving to represent 1-A as he wasand even the idea of him running was ridiculous. “Sensei.” The blonde said in a clear but empty tone, his eyes seemed glazed and somewhat vacant. “I, too, wish to withdraw myself from the elections. I apologise for not letting you know in advance.”

Post by Teresa Collins on May 24, 2019 1:08:39 GMT
Today was the first time she was able to come to class since coming to UA. She had gotten turned around with the map she was given, and even with being shown around once by another student, she still had a hard time finding her way around. Once she got there she heard about the class elections. It was an odd concept for her since there wasn't really anything at her private school back in England, nor anything like it while she was privately tutored by her father's tutors. She wore the uniform like she was supposed to, but she still carried her teddy bear with the secret compartment in it. She had to have her heart medication close by just in case and she kept her phone on hand just in case of emergencies as well. Her bag clung in her hand, she bowed respectfully to the teacher and introduced herself to her. It was good to make a good first impression, right? "Good morning, Sato-Sensei, I am Teresa Collins, the new transfer student to class 1-A. It's a pleasure to meet you," Her voice so carefully crafted, so carefully toned so that she did not make a mistake in her language. She still had a slight British accent when speaking Japanese, but her use of the language came across as well enough to her father's standards.
She then sat in her seat near the front of the class and watched those around her. She noticed the boy who had shown her around previously and stood up to go greet him as well. She had to make friends, as was one of her tutors suggestions in helping with her mission, so why not start with the first person who had greeted her at the school? Teresa had no interest in running for the elections and instead just decided to sit back and watch what happens. She was told to do what she could to become the best hero she had to be, but she figured that this was not something that was required to become a hero, so she'd have to pass on the election. "Good morning, Riku-san, thank you once again in helping me get to know the school better. Are you going to run in the class elections?" Judging by Riku's obvious excitement, she figured he was, but she had to get used to conversations with others aside from her tutors and her father. She hugged her teddy bear tightly against her chest as she talked. She may act emotionless, but this was still a different environment or her. Her private school previously only had very very small classes, often one on one, and didn't let her socialize like any normal girl. She wasn't a normal girl, to be quite honest.

I'M NOT IN LOVE don't have the time Call it a crime to find everything I need in me. Class time, again.
Not that class was unpleasant, but the days just seemed to drone on and merge together, it seemed. She was learning, it just seemed slow.
So inwards she marched, all put together and flawless in her uniform. Glancing over the already-present students of the classroom, she would half-smile to acknowledge anyone who looked in her direction. Then she'd rather routinely bow to the teacher, wish her good morning, and quietly take her seat. Only when she arrived in that comfortable assigned spot did she look up to the board and read her name. What in Wright's name was--
Oh, right.
Election day, how fun. Discreetly, Torami sought out Riku Sakamaki with her eyes, observing him for a second before returning to her own business. Today would be interesting, to say the least. She knew for a fact Riku would bring something fun to the table, who knew how many other students he had tried to coerce like her. But that made her think, in this very moment, that despite not having a speech prepared, she'd stay in the running. Not so much to stick it to her classmate in some petty competition, but instead for her own ideals. Call it an ego, maybe.
So she didn't call out to the teacher to ask for her name to be removed. There it would stay, until the class decided she was unfit.

[attr="class","sinner"] [attr="class","sinner1"] [attr="class","sinback"] [attr="class","sinnert"] YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! THE DAY FINALLY CAME, CLASS ELECTIONS! Daiki couldn't help but find his spirts renewed. While he wasn't hampered a lot, it's easy to become complacent with routine unless something shows up to change things up in said routine. Honestly today meant a lot to him. It wasn't just about having a title before your name, it wasn't about getting free pizza or having the influence to make big jokes. That actually wasn't it at all and frankly he wouldn't even try it. In all seriousness today was something really special. It was really a time for him to voice to the entirety of 1-A what he'd wanted to tell each of them over the weeks but never had the opportunity, instead talking to people one on one when he could. It was with that sentiment that while he had a smile it wasn't a smug one, it wasn't proud or anything it was just a reassuring and happy one. Today there was no losing. He either lost or won the runnings but one way or another he got what he wanted to say out there in a format that wouldn't be weird or off-putting to some of the more introverted students in class. What that was in particular would have to wait until the moment itself came. For now though Satou made his way through the hallway and turned at the stairs at just about the same time Aoi walked into the room. In fact he'd seen her walk in just barely. Following behind not ten seconds after he'd been on a long road of change for something as simple as cutting it close to being late. He'd been well on time since the UA attack, the grandiose scale of it must've pounded a lesson he taught himself down deep. In particular it was what being late meant. In school it's no different if you're 1 second late or 50 minutes early, you get the entire class and academically nothing changes except for maybe peoples unprofessional view of you. Though it's a bad idea to become complacent with that, because it doesn't transfer over to the real world that well. There's no 'class start' time in the real world. Being there five minutes earlier could mean hundreds of lives saved and there's no obvious way to tell a time that it'd happen. You just reduce risk by being there as fast as possible, and that's what changed his mentality regarding class timings. He'd rather be very early to maintain the habit of do it when you can, not when you need too. Walking through the door he looked into the class. Rubbing the back of his neck he immediately recognized Riku, Aoi of course, Chiura- even Futaba was here; wow. Raphael was also a familiar face, and he knew he saw Sato-san from their recent class. He hadn't been here for that long, looking around there was also several people he didn't recognize either. It was no different, his words would be just as genuine to them as the people he'd known since the very start. He noted Teresa as well, having spoken with them recently too. At any rate looking towards the board he noted the names that were already being nixed from the board. It was perfectly fine to not run but... It was the reason behind not running that could pose issues. A personal preference is fine but... Glancing towards Raphael he couldn't help but notice the defeated look on his face. Should he encourage Raphael to run? Right here? He had even noticed the precision and void in his tone. If he hadn't known Raphael he'd have taken it at face value but he knew that wasn't Raphael's standard gear. At least not in the past. Moving forward and saying hey to just about everyone he passed which didn't amount to many people at this point, he moved towards Raphael's desk and spoke up towards him. " Hey, Seraphine-san? I think you'd make a great class president. I believe in you." He'd say while reaching forward to lightly rest a hand on his shoulder reassuringly. " You have what it takes. Smarts, personality, kindness and manners. Follow your heart." He'd finish with before moving right behind his fellow classmate and friend. Convenient they were seated right next to one another. Looking forward he didn't seem to have any papers with him. Did he look nervous? Not necessarily, but he looked to be in thought, contemplating. Today would be interesting, and fulfilling in many ways. [break][break] It seemed to be after all the business with the villains invading their home when Ryuga learned a very sorrowful philosophy. It was only once. One time for her, and she shouldn't have taken the victory so hard, but nearly getting her friends killed because of her actions led her to begin to avoid people. She focused on herself almost independently too much, with as little interaction as she could have. Especially avoiding Hone-san. She was so negatively affected that even looking in his eyes caused her to shiver and shake. [break][break] Step out, step out of the sun because you've learned, because you've learned. [break][break] It wasn't that she didn't talk to anyone. After all, she had spoken to people when they came to her, and she had spoken to them, but she never reached out herself. She found that if she never involved anyone in her problems, she could never burn them. She wasn't even talking much to Seraphine-san. When she tutored Himura-san, she did so and left before too long, but did give her more attention, obviously. [break][break] So. Did she want to be class president? There was a sense of self-worth lost within herself, so the easy way to put it was no. She didn't even want to be vice rep. How could she possibly be thought to be deserving of it? Even after the talks and lessons, she continued to beat herself up over it. She was responsible for all of their mess, and that was her Achilles's heel. [break][break] Someone needed to really teach Ryuga to lighten up. On training, and in life. [break][break] When the door opened with the blonde girl behind it, she made sure she was smiling accordingly. If only to show everyone she was okay, she wouldn't lead with the worst of her. A smile, a facade, and above all, a serene smile. She found she was good at acting fine, so maybe no one would notice. Well, no one but everyone who knew what was going through her mind. [break][break] Time to stay out of the sun. [break][break] About what she imagined, but the 1-A classroom was livelier than ever. There was Sakamaki-san, who she only knew the name of, and not much else. Suzuki-san, not to be confused with Nyan-san. Yutsuko, who she hadn't gotten the chance to meet either, but could assume from her Quirk what she could do. She seemed to be talking to... a new student? (Ryu Sato) And another transfer student with blue hair! (Teresa Collins). Huh, so many new transfers today! Added to them, there was Wakui-san; another she was unfamiliar with, but she seemed to talk with Suzuki-nyan more than her, so maybe Ryuga could speak to her one day. [break][break] And that was just who she hadn't seen in class before. She was happy to see Himura-san return, and her smile became just a bit more genuine, only dampened a bit when she saw Seraphine-san, her crush and/or boyfriend, and Satou-san, her rival and/or friend. Two others who were there when she... [break][break] Deep breaths. Walk forward. Remember that it's all your fault, and don't let it phase you. Take it in stride. You're guilty. [break][break] When she stepped by Sato-sensei's desk, Ryuga turned quickly, her eyes genuine, and her gaze sorrowful; the effects of the past few weeks haven't been fully unpacked. She can't let it go. Her tone was soft, but with a shake to it that seemed unable to disappear as she spoke. "Sensei. Please remove my name as well." No apology. Ryuga continued towards her desk; second from the window in the front row. Her gaze moving back to Futaba. [break][break] Ryuga smiled. [break][break] But it wasn't the same smile it used to be. Jun was again one of the last people into class, though not late. So there was going to be an election huh? School functions never did interest him. Sure it might look great on a hero application that you were the class rep., but you know what looks better? An internship. So he really didn't see much point in it for him. Others, obviously, had other ideas. A few had already explicitly stated that they weren't running. Which was fine, but was that really necessary? If they did get voted in, they could easily shove it off to someone else. Don't get him wrong, he would do the job to the best of his ability should he get voted in, but he really wouldn't want to do it. Plus, most people tend to vote for themselves anyways.
He already had someone want something from him in the form of Riku. Who was very likely to run. He wasn't so sure if the eccentric, if fun, young man would be the best candidate. At the same time, he wasn't so sure if Daiki was either. As good of a hero he would make, something like this just didn't seem like would be his ideal job. None of the others really stood out to him either. Except one. The ever dutiful house cat. Except he wasn't really a house cat. Isamu had proven himself, both with grades, and on the course. Rumor had it that he was formerly part of a gang, and got arrested. Even if it was true, he was clearly working hard to become a hero. Arguably had to work harder than anyone else here. And paid his debt to society, assuming that those rumors were true. Either way, the cat had impressed him, and would get his vote. But until then, he was sitting silently.

[attr="class","ke"] [attr="class","ex"]I Will Not Be Like My Father [attr="class","rh"] ❝ Had they not already chosen the class rep and vice rep? Odd, but not really that important.
| Kagami didn’t know what day it was. Well she knew what day of the week it was and what the exact numerical date was. What she didn’t know was what today meant in class. She went about her normal morning routine. Waking up before the sun had even come over the horizon, a light workout before cleaning up and then breakfast, and finally making her way into class. She might have missed it at first, even with the general atmosphere of the room Kagami was all but oblivious to any of that. Until she happened to glance at the board and see a list of most every name from the class. Had they not already chosen the class rep and vice rep? Odd, but not really that important. For a second she contemplated just going to her seat as usual. Even if they did see her name up on the board she doubted anyone would vote for her, those that did know who she was anyway. And those who didn’t, well considering she didn’t know most any of them they probably knew nothing about her either, including that she was even in their class.
But there was one person who probably vote for her. Considering Akari was in her class now there was a chance her sister would vote for her. And knowing her sister it would be a very loud and enthusiastic vote. It was an interesting conundrum to be in. Kagami didn’t want to be noticed. The more attention was on her the more people would find out about who her father was. But at the same time her whole goal was to get people to notice her as a hero to bring back honor to her family’s name. She couldn’t have that without being recognized. And if she did well in the upcoming sports festival then she would definitely garner some attention and the cat would come out of the bag anyway.
Silently Kagami turned and walked to the back of the class towards her desk. Chances are she wouldn’t even be in the running for a class rep position, not that she saw them as particularly useful in the first place. Though she now had to decide who she would vote for. Looking around the class she didn’t really recognize most the faces there. Only Hoden-San and that one nice girl from general studies she had met once. Wait… why was she in here? And why did she have and IV? She didn’t look like she had been badly injured, if she had taken part in fighting against those villains it would make sense that she would have suffered some kind of injury even if it wasn’t readily visible. Despite those two Kagami didn’t really know anyone else so she wasn’t sure who to vote for. Looking up at the board she didn’t see Hoden-San’s name so the choice was obvious. As much as she loved her sister Kagami knew that the class rep position was important to most and Akari was not a great fit for that kind of spot.

Post by Isamu Suzuki on May 28, 2019 4:27:29 GMT
Morning. Isamu’s least favorite time of day, because it meant he had to stop sleeping, if he had slept at all, or stop working on his personal projects and get ready for classes. On this particular day he had turned in early to be well-reste for class. Especially well-rested, at least: sleep was important, even if he didn’t keep it on a regular schedule. He pulled his blaring phone towards him, silencing the alarm and opening it to check a news digest. There, right in front of him, was the giant reminder from his calendar.
Class elections. Right.
That… would be interesting to see. He hadn’t given the prospect serious consideration before, but since arriving at U.A. he had been reconsidering his opinion on the matter. He had always known he wouldn’t primarily be a front line combat specialist, but perhaps his skills would be suited to surveilling and coordinating the efforts of others? At the very least, as a rescues specialist he may be uniquely suited to finding lost victims, but he would need to direct others in doing any of the heavy work of freeing and transporting the victims found. So it may not be a bad idea to try and pick up some leadership skills.
And one way to do that was to become responsible for a class of hormonal and unruly teenagers. If he could command respect and attention here, surely he could do it anywhere. Now it was just a matter of convincing his classmates that he was up for the job, and that… that was the tricky part. Not to mention the fact that he wasn’t entirely certain he was up for the task.
Still, only one way to find out. Isamu dragged himself out of bed, going through his morning grooming routine—always important in being taken seriously, but extra important on a day that he was trying to specifically impress his classmates. Claws sharpened, fur brushed to a glossy sheen, not a single whisker out of place. Next a quick breakfast and then off to class. Once he got to the building he stepped out of sight and stood, straightening his tie and uniform before walking into class. He bowed to the teacher, “Good morning, Sato-sensei,” before heading to his seat.
He looked at the class for a moment. A number of new faces he wasn’t as familiar with, and some more familiar faces that… looked like they had seen better days. He had heard what happened to the students that went to the theater. Himura was in attendance today, though that IV concerned him, but Hone looked to still be recuperating. Just what the hell had the villains been trying to accomplish with their attack, to leave one set of students so injured and the other comparatively fine?
The cat-like student took his desk at the very front and center of the classroom, jumping up into the seat and unpacking his laptop, before setting his backpack down to sit on top of it. He kept his ears open, listening to the rest of the classroom, while discretely sniffing at the air. So many new people (and people in new conditions) meant a lot of new scents to catalogue and dissect. He mulled over all of that as he waited for class to start.

Post by Ren Wolff on May 30, 2019 2:26:50 GMT
Ren let out a long yawn as he made his way down the hallway. Yet another late shift at the restaurant had deprived him of a full night's sleep, so he hadn't been up as early as he would have liked. With the shop getting busier and the school year moving into full swing, it was getting harder to balance his studies with work, but he knew that he'd have to deal with that going in. He'd been so busy that he hadn't even really gotten a chance to get to know any of his new classmates but... Dropping the job wasn't an option since he still had to support himself, so that just meant that he'd have to try harder. Do whatever it takes, that's what his family always said, right? If getting through school on his own dime meant being a bit tired and losing out on free time, well that was just the price, wasn't it?
Walking into the classroom, Ren was immediately greeted by a room that was much more full and lively than it had been at the beginning of the year. He really would have to take the time to actually meet some of these new faces when he had the chance... After offering a quick greeting to Aoi, the blonde quietly made his way over to his seat. "Good morning." He greeted those around him. He gave Fu a particularly warm smile, glad to see that the girl was actually up and about, and then took his place behind Ryuga, who... he actually hadn't seen much of since the incident. He hadn't really spoken to her at all since he helped patch everyone up in the aftermath, hadn't really spoken to any of them really... probably wouldn't hurt to check up on all of them later, since there was a rather clear change in mood among the group.
After settling into place and getting his things out of his bag, Ren finally glanced up to see what was written on the board. Class elections. That was today, wasn't it? The rep position wasn't something he was actively seeking, considering his desire to avoid standing out too much, but for whatever reason he didn't feel compelled to withdraw his name... Who did he think would fit the job though? He rubbed a bit more sleep from his eyes and leaned back in his chair as he considered it for a few moments. He honestly didn't know enough about the new arrivals to say much about them, but given the tasks involved it had to be someone pretty level headed and reliable, that didn't mind going the extra mile. There were actually a few people in the class that matched that description, but who would be the best fit? Ren honestly wasn't sure yet.
